Very good site large hard standing pitches excellent fishing good cafe and tackle shop would come again very clean showers and toilets
Downside: not a lot for small children to do, ideal for teenagers that like fishing, could do with some swings and slides for smaller children. Showers need soap tray as no where to put soap, shampoo etc
Overall very good site :)

This was the first time we have been camping for 4 years and wanted to try are new tent out before our main holidays in august. We had been told how good this site was by friends who have caravans and they leave them there all year so have good pitches. The toilets are very clean and the fishing is good, the village is nice and is in walking distance.

Booked this site mainly for the fishing, what a nice site. Toilet and showers clean at all times, nice cafe on site. Good walk to burgh le marsh with all the shops you need about a 10 min walk. The only downside to this site nothing for children no play equipment. Would definitely use again

We stayed at this site for first time and were not disappointed. We were on a hard standing pitch which you need your metal pegs as the ground is very hard. The toilets and showers were very clean. There was a car boot and market over Easter across the road from site. The site has a cafe or carvery if cant be bothered to cook whilst on holiday. Very good price for a really good site. We would recommend this site to any one wanting to visit Skegness only a 10 min drive away.

Beware this site as lovely as it is can be a pain in high season, mainly bank hols. (I am not moaning I know they get full, I always have to have school hols) The owners will pack you in on spaces where you would not believe there was a space. Often doubling electric hook ups.
At all other times the site is great, the toilets are beautiful and clean, a credit to the warden, and the cafe is recommended.
My husband says the fishing is brilliant.
There is still nothing for children on site so unless they are keen on fishing it may be not for them . I have seen a young child on a bike whizzing around the fishing pond and feared for his safety. Parents need to be alert when there is so much open water.
The site is really close to the village shops but the best thing is to pick your own from the surrounding farms in season.

Our first visit to this developing site, the site has 4 lakes all contain good size and quantity of fish, all the pitches are level on hard standing do take rock pegs it is hard. Nice size pitches and a very nice toilet / shower block, the only down side is that there is nothing at all for kids to do, not even a swing slide for them, it is aimed at fishermen / women, it does say on their web site they have a sand pit play area, well there's sand but it isnt a play area Didnt have a meal from the site cafe but was told they are very nice, skeggy is well skeggy and that's why we stayed outside the town. I would deffo recommend a night at the skegness stadium for banger racing the kids will love it Will I go again yes but probably not for our main holiday again as the kids would kill me.

Well what can I say, tried this site this July and what a surprise. The toilet and shower blocks are lovely and clean with large showers, with a drying off area. The toilets were spotless at all times through out the day. The pitches were large and the fishing lakes were full and stocked with some large fish to boot. All in all its quite cheap, but don't be put off by the cheap price its a quality site. Quiet at night but a short drive to Skeggy and the surrounding areas. I'm a Yorkshire man and know when I've had good value for my money. I will be going regularly to this site, well done the owners.

Well it is nearly half way through 2007 and we have booked in for a week at this majestic camp site. It is a year since we were there last, so I decided to do a reconnaissance run to see how the new touring site was doing. I can confirm it is now evolving wonderfully. The planted trees around the area are now starting to grow well and give the campers a more cosier rather than open plan feeling and does protect from the prevailing wind. Three years on and the toilet block is still as good as when it was built. Now I feel I must mention the Sunday lunches. We have tried the local and surrounding area cuisine and found that it was very good but we are of the opinion that this site does surpass all others in the area for the quality of the very fresh food that is presented. (They also hold a steak night on a Saturday evening) Now, if you feel a need for some light refreshment then go and see Pauline in the lakeside Cafe. I find her very helpful (sometimes) and someone you can have a good laugh or a natter with. She does make a remarkable cup of milky coffee and has a strange ability of selling you a muffin or bacon roll even if you don't want one. The site still caters for anyone who has a dog with long walks available around the campsite. One downside I must mention is the fact that you do need heavy duty metal pegs and a large hammer to stabilise your awning that must be positioned on the hard standing and not on the grass. That said I can understand why that decision is in force. The fishing is (by all accounts) still very productive and I am looking forward to once again putting it to the test. Watch this Space!

A beautiful site only three years old. The pitches are well spaced with hard standing (take rock pegs) and 16 amp electrics. There is a separate field with grass pitches. The toilet block is one of the best we have ever seen. There is a small restaurant on site and fishing tackle shop. Burgh le marsh is about 10 minutes walk away and Skegness with Tesco Morrison etc a ten minute drive. The fishing is the main attraction with four well stocked lakes well maintained platforms and good access. There isn't much on site for young children but Skegness is just down the road with it "seaside" attractions in plenty.

This site is great! The toilets and showers were spotless, the showers were also lovely and hot. This was our first trip out with our caravan, we will certainly be returning to this campsite next year. The site its self was lovely and peaceful. Even though we have two children, its child friendly, and the children loved it, specially the fishing lakes and feeding the fish in the pond. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
