Just returned from a visit here. Really lovely site. Very clean facilities, regularly cleaned. Very pleasant surroundings, well kept grass and paths. Very friendly owner and a very polite little daughter who kept my son and daughter company and introduced us to her pet cat, Pawsy!

We stayed at this site for 3 nights over the first May bank holiday weekend. The weather was lovely and so was this small site. The pitches were spacious and the site was very clean and tidy. The shower block was small, basic and cold. The two showers were not very private and felt claustrophobic and the water was amazingly hot. My 10 year old would not have been able to shower in there. The site is well positioned for lots of good days out. We went to the family cycle track in the Forest of Dean which is five miles away - we cycled there and back. Puzzlewood is lovely and a 10 minute walk away. Clearwell is 10-15 minutes away and has a couple of lovely pubs. Coleford is a good 30-40 minute walk away - not much there really. The Miners Arms is 5 minutes down the main road. It is very much a locals pub but we had great fun there as everyone was so friendly. There was a live band on the Friday night and a quiz night on the Sunday. We are definitely planning to go back to this site again.

Very friendly and helpful owners. Useful shop for any last minute things. Such a pleasant site - very clean too in the shower and toilet block - very relaxing stay and also plenty to do in area. Would recommend to anyone - have been unable to return but plans are now that will be able to return this year and enjoy the delightful quiet and relaxation this site and all surroundings has.

Absolutely super site highly recommended with level gravel based paths and hard-standings. Showers, toilets and grassed areas are very clean and tidy with hose-pipes at water outlets making it very easy to fill up water tanks etc. Only minor complaint was that there was no soap in the Gents toilets for a couple of days.
The local pub (Miners, as I recall) is a 5-10 min. Walk. Take a torch as there aren't many street lights! We met the owner of the site in the pub. Very friendly chap, he even bought me and my wife a drink!
Coleford is a 30-40 min. walk, however take care as it's quite a busy road and there is only a footpath for part of the way. Wouldn't care to walk it in the dark!
We will definitely be returning in the near future.

We stayed here for 4 nights, what a lovely site owners very pleasant and keen to help. Probably the cleanest toilet and shower block we have ever used. Lots to do in the local area. There is also the advantage of a playing field next to the campsite and a small shop which sells the essentials. Will definitely be returning.

Have just spent a weekend at this very pleasant site
It is nicely laid out with large pitches and it's good to see tents and caravans mixed in together. Facilities were freshly decorated and very clean. Showers were hot. Nice to have water at each pitch with the hook ups. Owners were friendly and helpful and when we asked for two pitches so we could be next to our daughter and her family it was sorted before we arrived. There is plenty to do in the area and we would definitely come here again.

This is a lovely site, in the heart of the Forest of Dean area. We were given a pitch in the corner which was ideal with our menagerie! The children were able to run around with no fear up on the top football field. The woods were right there to walk the dogs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Toilets and wash up were ideal for the size of site, and always clean and tidy. Small shop sold fresh free range eggs delicious! Also gas and all very reasonably priced. All sorts of interesting places to visit nearby, so much so we will definitely visit this site again we were very impressed. Plenty of local pubs and shops too in Coleford and even caravan accessory shop a few miles away!

Had a fantastic time helped by the lovely weather, there is a small children's play area and lovely clean showers and toilets. The children met lots of new friends who all played considerately and with respect to other campers. We had a lovely weekend and finished it with a trip the Dean Forest Railway - fantastic!

Visited easter this year, previous visit was in 2004. Still a well kept, clean site, with very friendly staff. Toilets & showers adequate for the size of site & always clean.several hardstanding pitches for motorhomes. Pleased to see the chemical disposal point has been resited behind the toilet block & no longer on the park itself! Football field adjacent to the park is available to children & no need to cross the road. Local pubs o.k. for meals & will accept kids & dogs. The whole area is beautiful & well worth a visit. The same goes for this small pleasant park on the edge of the forest. Wwe will visit again for certain.
