Had a lovely welcome from the managers although my dog got more of a fuss and an endless supply of treats.
I couldn't believe how quiet the site is, I could hardly hear any road noise at all. The pitches are fully serviced and we had plenty of room for the awning and car.
The toilets/shower block is spotless. While I was staying there my dog got sick and couldn't walk and Lin recommended the vets nearby, I rang and got an appointment within an hour and she made a full recovery within a week (turned out to be a previous infection that had flared up).
I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to people who are visiting the Telford area.

Nice quiet, clean site. Will be visiting again. Toilets and washing up area spotless, piped music in the loo.
Plenty to do in surrounding area. Wardens were very helpful. Bushes between pitches, which allowed plenty of birds to visit. So sweet. All pitches are hardstanding. Laundry area.
Open all year, adults only. Had great day out at Blists Victorian Village, and will be making return visit to go to museums we didn't have time to take in.
Buy yourself a Passport which will entitle you to free entry to museums. Security barrier at night.

Immaculate hard standing site (no tents).
The facilities were all clean and well presented and the individual serviced pitches were large and the facilities at hand.
Reception was well stocked with leaflets and information, and the Managers very welcoming.
We walked to Blists Hill Victorian Village, about 30 minutes, but there is a spacious car park there which will accomodate motocaravans, great day out.
Local pub lacked atmosphere, but food and drink was fine, about 5 minutes walk from the site.
The site is very small, we saw one person struggling a bit. This was caused by a caravan owner parking their car off the pitch, but people helped guide them in.

Booked 5 nights at this site based on reveiws and location. Both are excellent but mainly thanks to Lin and Ron the site managers. They are very helpful and welcoming.
Site is compact, private and immaculate. No noise whatsoever!
Pitches are fully serviced so take advantage and invest in the valve etc for your aqua roll and longer tube for your waste then forget about your water issues. Excellent! I hadn't got long enough waste pipe but they soon codged something together for me to use it.
Shower block is very warm and clean and hot water in shower on push button system. Piped music into the room and flowers. Lovely.
Location is brilliant for the Telford historical places but not mentioned is also the Silkin way which is about 300yds away. I rode on my bike and it is a fabulous network for trails for running, walking and cycling through the woodlands ending up at Ironbridge one way and Telford Centre the other, 7. 5 miles in all and no steep embankments.
Have put site in our favourites and will be returning definitely.

Just returned from a 4 night break, which was excellent. Lin was so welcoming, she gave us plenty of ideas of places to visit and advice on where to go to get great food.
The whole place was spotless, toilet and shower blocks were so well maintained and clean at all times.
The Cuckoo Oak (Hungry Horse group) which was a 5 minutes walk along the road was great, the food was excellent and the staff were so welcoming and friendly.
Plenty of shops and takeaways within a 5 min drive
Iron Bridge was only a short drive away and an excellent place to visit. Shrewsbury was only half hours drive away and was also excellent. Another place to visit within a short drive was RAF Cosford, which is FOC to enter.
So this is a great base from which to explore Shropshire.
We would certainly return again and recommend to other people.

We recently stayed at this campsite when we were attending a function at the International centre. The campsite is spotlessly clean and we had a warm welcome from Lin even though we arrived really late on Friday night. Lin was very helpful and the campsite is really close to Telford and some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK. Highly recommend this campsite.

We booked a full week for the start of June.
The site is very easy to find on the outskirts of Telford. After turning off the road we found ourselves driving up a lovely tree lined avenue with a security barrier at the top. This is open during the daytime but closed during the night.
The touring site is adjacent to a large area of retirement bungalows.
On arrival we went to the check in cabin and were met by the very friendly and informative warden. She quickly booked us in and told us of some wonderful places to visit and how to get there, she handed us an assortment of leaflets. We were also told where the shops were (there is NO shop on site) the local takeaways (who will deliver to the site) and some pubs to eat out at.
This is a dog friendly site with dog waste bins on site and a wooded dog walking area directly off the touring site.
The shower/toilet block was immaculately clean with piped music playing in the background. In the female block there were 3 toilets, each with their own washbasin, mirror, and waste bin. Also provided was hand wash and hand lotion. There were 3 showers with lovely hot water, the only downfall being you have to keep pressing the button on the wall.
There are also 2 rows of mirrored sinks with a large assortment of hand wash and hand lotion bottles available to use.
There is a pub not 5 minutes walk from the site which she recommended to us and which we found served very good food.
We knew as soon as we turned into the site entrance that we would enjoy our holiday.
we weren't disappointed.
This is a site we will most definitely be visiting again.

We spent 3 nights here and were very comfortable. Clean and well equipped, it more than provides all you need to keep yourself and your clothes clean. Spacious showers (well arranged with hooks and a curtain to avoid your clothes getting wet) and thoughtful ladies' loos with basins in the cubicle - much appreciated Didn't take to the piped music much but it didn't detract from the visit.
Good washing up facilities under cover, and washing machines (didn't use these).
Water, EHU and chemical disposal on each site which was mainly on hardstanding with a small grass/bush division between pitches. These did feel a bit cramped but we didn't plan to sit around the campsite for long, and its location was excellent for all the wonderful Ironbridge museums, for cycling the Mercian Way to get around, and for touring the Shropshire hills. We had a wonderful anniversary meal at the Woodbridge Inn - cycling back under warm, pink skies!
Very friendly owners and tidy, if compact, site that was quiet and very well located for lots to do.

We used this site for a couple of nights to visit RAF Cosford. Site is easy to find on the edge of Telford. Its situated on a bungalow park - all very clean and well kept.
The toilet / shower block is old but very clean, showers are push button but good pressure and plenty of hot water. All pitches are fully serviced and there is a chem disposal. The pitches are not the largest we have seen but more than adequate, a couple of big RV's on site with cars and they fitted on there pitches with room to spare.
Reception booked us in quickly and very helpful on the area. There is loads to do with Blists Hill only a couple of minutes away, the Iron Bridge and RAF Cosford less than 20 minutes away.
RAF Cosford is a brilliant day out, no charge for entry just £3. 50 to park. Enough to keep you occupied for a full day out and plenty of interactive bits and bobs to amuse the kids - recommend a visit here.
Overall we found the site to be quiet and peaceful, the touring part is kept immaculately and the facilities are more than adequate if a little old. There isnt a shop on site but there are shops just over a mile away. The only possible downside is that the site in on a hill, so possibly not great for some people who like to walk into town etc, however there is a bus stop at the bottom of the hill.
At £18.75 per night for 2 on a fully serviced pitch we would definitely use again.

We recently spent a few nights at this site, with the intention of visiting the museums around Ironbridge. The setting is excellent, being quiet, very secure, with adjacent woodland, and well situated on the outskirts of Madeley – an easy walking distance from Blists Hill Victorian village.
At first, we thought it a rather nice site, but unfortunately became disappointed. Being essentially a park home, there is room for only about 12 caravans or motorhomes, all on hardstandings, but the pitches themselves are very close to each other – we measured only 3 metres between our van and those on either side. Had we extended our awning, there would have only been a few feet clearance from the next van. We were separated from the adjacent pitches by small patches of grass but, on one side, this grass had been used as a dogs’ lavatory - many times. This was especially unpleasant, and the entrance to a designated dog walk was only a few yards away. On any site, there will always be one or two irresponsible dog owners, but clearly this area had not been inspected or cleaned for some time.
Previous visitors had reported that the toilets were beautifully clean, and so they were, but then there’s no point in keeping things clean when the lock on the shower door is hanging off, as was the case in the cubicle I used. Of course, it’s easy to overlook these small annoyances but, taken all together, we were not very impressed. We tried three times to report the dog mess and cubicle lock but, each time we tried, the office was locked. In the end we gave up and moved on.
