A very nice site, well located for visiting London, Sussex and Surrey and just 5 minutes off the M25.
Two toilet / shower blocks on site, though only visited one - was always clean and tidy. Each side of each block (ie Male / Female) shuts for an hour each day for cleaning, so best checking times.
We were at top end of the site, just behind the entrance and had usual Orange coverage, and 3G coverage on both Vodafone and 3Mobile, so could get internet access, though the site does have a Wifi network which seems to give extremely good coverage all over, though vouchers need to be purchased from the shop currently (which is only open until 5pm).
A couple of items that I think are worth mentioning:
1) Do follow the route suggested by the site, even though it adds a little more distance to the journey. The road running from the A23 direct to the camp site is absolutely not suitable for towing anything along as is very narrow and lots of blind corners.
2) Do at all costs avoid the road between the site and the A23, even if not towing. It is absolutely littered with huge potholes and blind corners. I was not warned and suffered a blow out hitting a crater at low speed
3) Be aware that the site has entrance and exit barriers (keycard operated) and these are locked off at 11pm. After this time, no vehicle can enter or leave the site. Ample parking for visitors, but if you are going out for an evening, you could be in for a long walk back to your caravan if you get back after 11. Think they unlock again at 7:30am
Overall, great site and will certainly be visiting again.

To Find Site:- Leave M25 at junction 8 onto A217, signed for Reigate. Within 300 yds fork left for Mersham and after a couple of miles at T junction turn left onto A23.
After half a mile turn right into Shepherds Hill, signed for Caterham. In one mile take sharp left and watch out for International campsite sign. To exit back onto M25 from A23 speak to the warden who will advise.
Alderstead Heath is a large campsite covering 30 acres and open all year and non members are accepted. It is a well wooded site and almost park like in appearance There are 150 pitches of which 68 are on hardstandings.
Tents can also be accommodated. Some of the pitches are given over to seasonal use. There is a playground for smaller children and an adventure style one for older ones plus a kick about area. The site has two toilet blocks.
Second generation WiFi is available and is site wide but anyone using a mobile broadband dongle could experience difficulties with reception, that was certainly the case with Vodafone. Ice creams and soft drinks are available from Reception and newspapers can be ordered. The site has a large storage facility.
We used this campsite as an overnight stop on the way to the Channel Tunnel. However the campsite could be used as a convenient place from which to visit London. Its a 35 minute journey from the station at Mersthow. Apparently this is the only campsite within the M25 that is not in the Low Emission Zone.

A lovely lovely site!
The grounds were kept tidy, the toilet blocks kept clean and the wardens were always friendly and at hand when needed!
We arrived quite late after a mishap with our caravan but stayed on the late arrivals carpark which had hook up then pitched up in the morning on a pitch of our choice!we choose a lovely spot near the play area for my 4 kids and next to the toilet/shower blocks.
The toddler and family rooms were a massive help with a good size room with toilet, sink, changing station and a BATH with over head shower! Absolutely fab idea! Esp with a 3 and 2 yr old.
The site was lovely and peaceful but my children were still ok to play and make noise without a problem.
There was some noise from the field/farm next door, tree chopping and cutting and noisy tractors but that only happened for 1 day.
Lovely site if you have a bike too,my 2 eldest spent most of their day riding around.
We also had the joy of watching the rabbits that came out in the afternoon on the adjacent field!
The on site shop is small and only stocked minimal items but tesco was 10mins away in the next village.
The other campers were also friendly but we did feel we were looked upon as our caravan was an older model and a majority of our fellow campers were oaps and had new caravans, but Hey who cares! We still had a lovely stay and will visit again if needed.

Very pleasant stay, very clean facilities. Staff were friennly and approachable and helpful.
We parked right next to the little play park which was lovely, not far to walk to any of the facilities even though one black was closed.
It really is amazing how little you can hear the road, and to think you would be able to find such a site inside the m25!

This is a Caravan Club site, excellently situated for easy access to London for entertainment and sightseeing. All pitches are on hardstanding with a few on grass available during the summer season.
As can be expected of Caravan Club sites the toilet facilities are kept exceptionally clean and were well heated during our visit.
Wardens very helpful. Site has security access during the night which means there is no movement of motor vehicles after midnight.
For those wishing to travel to London the recommended way is by train from Coulsdon.
Would visit again.

Lovely site, very friendly and helpful wardens, facilities were spotless and ample. Even though the site is big, it is very quiet, with dedicated play areas for all ages of children/teenagers and lots of areas for exploring the woods - we finally found the hidden picnic area which was a delight.
Even though we were under canvas, the M25 was not noticeable either from noise or traffic. Tesco 5 minutes away and good routes into London by car or train. There is a Small bus service into the local town - although we did not use it.
We will definitely be back.

I went here for my first night out with my new van, and the people were so friendly and helpful - the man helped me with my electricity and water and so on.
It is a well laid out site and feels very rural considering that it is inside the M25 and just down the road from Croydon.
The dog walk in the woods can be walked without your Ordnance Survey map, or you can walk for miles if you bring your map.
Facilities organised and spaced out.
No pub or shop in walking distance, but huge Tesco Extra at Purley 10 mins drive away.

This is an absolutely lovely site. Pitches are huge, especially the hard standing ones. The site isn't completely flat, we did have to use chocks.
It is very quiet - you really wouldn't know the M25 was so close, and the dog walk - well, it's a public walkway - is absolutely beautiful, and not just for dog walkers - especially at this time of year when the Bluebells are out.
The wardens are extremely friendly - we spent the MayDay Bank Holiday here, and although only being less than an hour away from home, we'll be back, when the sun's out, and we can go for longer walks without being drenched in rain!

A last minute change of plan saw us visiting this site. What a gem it is. Quiet, big level pitches, lots of space between the pitches. Two play areas to amuse the kids, some lovely walks from site on the Pilgrims Way. Despite a lot of comings and goings many people only seemed to stay a night or two so it was never noisy or crowded. Great chips from the fish and chip van on Friday night, but it was not cheap. Clean toilet block which was never busy. Excellent on site security arrangements. My only one little moan is that the shower cubicles are probably the smallest I have ever encountered.
