Attending wedding in the area, our first visit to this site and what a beauty it is. We only stayed 2 nights but wish it had been longer.
Wardens are very friendly and helpful with a sense of humour. This is a large site but was very quiet despite being quite busy. Lots of rabbits, birds and squirrels on site. The dog walk in the woods is fantastic.
Facilities are excellent, loved the giant chess board! Dont have any kids but they all seemed to be using the play areas and not running about round the caravans.
The only issue I can think of (and its after a lot of thought!) is that there is only one hand drier in the ladies toilet block which I would imagine could cause a problem when the site is full.
For a great place to eat try the Tudor Rose pub a few miles away in Coulsden. We had a late lunch - gammon and scampi (with chips) £7 for the two.

Just arrived back from a two night stay with my wife and two young children. This was the first time we'd taken our kids camping so wanted a site that was fairly close to home (40mins drive) but was also rural enough to give us that 'away from it all' feeling.
This site ticked all the boxes, it is only 15mins from the M25 but is surrounded by lovely countryside.
I was a bit concerned that we'd be able to hear the M25 in the distance but to be honest I didn't notice it in the day and at night you can hear a very distant 'rumble' but I soon got used to this.
This site is mainly used by caravans and tourers but there is a smallish section set aside for tents which was very close to a kiddies play ground and one of the Wash / shower blocks, so this was great seeing as we had two young children.
Even though the site was busy I found the shower block to be almost empty and very clean which was a refreshing change.
We needed some extra supplies so we ventured out to the supermarket, there are two tescos, one is smallish and is only 15mins away (recommended) the other is a mega store and is slightly further. Beware of the larger one as I got totally stressed as it's in a built up area and was really busy with traffic and people.
On a final note, all the staff at the site we spoke to made us feel very welcome and I would certainly make a return visit.

We only stayed here one night as we used it as a stop over on our way to Dover as it is quite close to the M25. The site is very large but quiet with quite a number of seasonal pitches; however it did not seem busy or over crowded. The toilets were spotless as you expect. The wardens were also some of the best I have come across and didn’t seem to mind me disturbing them when we arrived after closing time. My sat nav took us via a narrow country lane so use the CC directions if you intend staying.

Stayed here for two nights. You would not believe that you are only a few miles from South East London, you are surrounded by pretty countryside in what feels like the middle of nowhere. The site is the usual high club standard, the reception area was very pretty lots of flowers etc. Showers and toilets exeptional, the site has a nice overall feel to it. We took our two year old son and did not have a problem keeping him occupied lots of nice walks etc. We will definitely be returning in 2009 in our new caravan.

We stayed at this site due to it's proximity to London, and we were not disappointed. The site is spotlessly clean, lovely warm showers although like other sites, one block is closed during the winter months, however, we never had to queue.
The children loved the play areas, two types, one for smaller children, and one for more adventurous older children, complete with a couple of football nets.
The site itself is lovely, lots of trees around, and you can hear a number of owls at night.
For a trip out, we headed for Redhill station (free parking on a Sunday), and a train takes you directly to Victoria.
A lovely site, and would definitely recommend to others, well worth it.

Friendly helpful staff who go out of their way to assist and make a stay at this site that bit special.
The site facilities are up to the usual high Caravan Club standard.
We have stayed at this site on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed.
The site is ideal to explore London. The best way is to park at Merstham station (2 miles from site) car park £4 all day. Train to London Bridge only takes 20 minutes.
Highly recommend this site and look forward to revisiting soon.

Very pleasant site which although is 5 min to the M25 you can not see or hear it. Located in the centre of countryside but with lots around we will visit again and again and we live only 30 mins away!
The site staff are very helpful, well drained soil, flat pitches in pleasant wooded copses, old but well maintained toilet/shower block including fab family room. New addition of two children's play areas (one for younger children and the other a more adventure play ground and footie pitch.
Great walks locally for dogs.
Only criticism was the aeroplanes but they were only noticeable very late at night and were infrequent

Our May Bank Holiday weekend started off a nightmare after we pulled off a CL which was so bad we couldn't stay there. 5.30 Friday afternoon as we were driving out of the gate my wife phoned the above site. Explaining what had happened, we were hoping they had a pitch so late on a Friday afternoon of a bank holiday otherwise we were going home. They let us have a geass pitch with hook up for the three nights, we couldn't beleive our luck! The Wardens were fantastic helping us out.
Alderstead Heath is a large site, it was packed but it didn't feel busy. The toilets and facilities are spotless, normal club standard. The entrance to the site is a pretty floral display of hanging baskets and border plants.
The dog walk is big and through the woods. Its so big you hardley see anyone else! There is a park for the kids, a field with goal posts where they can kick a ball around and a giant chess set.
If you need to go anywhere you have to drive. Caterham is about 3 miles away and South Coulsdon is another 2 miles in the opposite direction where you can get a train into London. There is also a Tesco, a Waitrose and various other shops there.
Because it was bank holiday the Wardens put on a competition one for the kids and one for the adults. The kids competition was a list of questions about the site and they had to walk around the site to find the answers. My son and daughter won and won us a free night! So we're going back at the end of the month. What started off a nightmare turned uot to be a great weekend and the weather was fantastic as well.

A very nice site. Quiet, clean and tidy as you would expect from Caravan Club.
We had the most awful weather, it did not stop raining for 3 days, but it didn't get boggy at all. Not much for youngsters onsite but this is the case on most CC sites. Redhill was worth a visit on a rainy day, has a small indoor shopping centre with enough shops to keep you busy for a couple of hours. Would go back again for a quiet weekend.

A very attractive site only 10 minutes from the M25. Set quite high up so could get a bit windy but there are plenty of trees around to break the wind. Very helpful wardens, and as you would expect with the CC, everything was spotlessly clean and well kept.
We arrived and were asked to choose our own pitch from those available. Due to it being February, only the hard standing pitches were available, but they were all easily accessible, flat and plenty big enough for van, porch and car.
The new children's play ground was excellent, and as our pitch overlooked the playground we were able to supervise from the warmth & comfort of our caravan.
There were no local amenities within easy walking distance, but a short drive brought you everything you needed. We even popped out for an Indian takeaway in the village of Caterham, which was excellent.
TV reception was good with 77 channels on freeview & Status 530 aerial.
Highly recommended and can't wait to visit again.
