We were greeted in a friendly way by the wardens and the booking in process went as smoothly as expected. The grass pitches were off-limits due to recent waterlogging, but there were plenty of hardstandings available. Facilities were up to usual Caravan Club high standards.
The layout of the site is quite attractive, more so than some of the more regimented rows often found. Although the site itself is completely surrounded by other commercial sites, there wasn't too much noise from the adjacent parks, which we had been warned of. Mid-week at the end of September obviously helps!
I suppose if you really want peace and quiet there are better choices, but the beach was within easy walking distance and there are lots of nice flat lanes to explore if you're into cycling.

3 night stay at Hurn Lane, was disappointed to find that upon arrival we had been allocated a grass pitch as all the hardstanding pitches had been allocated to long stayers. Not really the time of year for a grass pitch but the grass was quite firm although with the rainy weekend wet feet was a problem.
The toilet block in the grass area is very old and badly needs updating it did not help that there was only 1 strip lighting working in the whole of the block this made it seem very dark and unkempt. Not what we have come to expect from a CC site.
The other toilet block was newer and well lit, felt like we were the poor relations on the site.
The Warden continually drove around the site on the noisiest tractor I have ever heard, he may have had ear defenders on but the rest of us had to put up with the noise.
Would I return to this site? The answer is a no.

The Wardens here were the friendliest we have ever encountered on a Caravan Club site. Really nice people.
The only downside was the lack of a dog walk. The lane you have to walk dogs down is narrow and rather busy. However it's only about a 10 minute walk to the beach where dogs are allowed.
The site was very busy when we were there as it was school holidays and there were lots of children riding around on bikes etc which is normal at this time of year.
The pitches vary in size, we found the grass pitches to be more spacious than the hardstandings, some of which are a bit tight.
The toilet block was clean and well maintained and the site is easy to find and access is good. We were very happy overall.

We visited here for a long weekend. The road approaching the site is very narrow as per the CC book so follow their instructions.
Late night arrival area only allows for two units and unbeknown to us, you have to book these spots. However, we were lucky that no one else arrived and the staff on reception were friendly and sorted us out.
The site is well laid out, with the usual quality of facilities you expect from a caravan club site. I found the site to be 'hemmed in' though, which is because we have been to sites in open countryside or on the coast recently with amazing views - the site is surrounded on most sides by other commercial caravan sites and this is what led me to feeling hemmed in.
The micro brewery nearby was good although the service was less than friendly. Downright rude! Great site for young families and those with teenage sites as Brean has lots to offer (but take lots of money to fund their fun). Nearby Burnham on Sea & Weston Super Mare have lots to offer by way of shops etc.
Take bikes as it is lovely & flat, we walked to Burnham along the beach and caught the bus back which unless you have a free bus pass costs a small fortune.
For me, it is fine for a weekend stay, but not enough for a week.

We have taken our grandchildren to this site for a weekend for the last couple of years. It is very well kept. Toilet and shower facilities are very clean and there is a family bathroom with a bath for children who don't like showers. Dogs not terribly welcome - warden told us off for one of our dogs spending a penny on the site - not sure how that can be prevented other than not allowing dogs on the site. Nice playground for children. Beach within walking distance. Fish and chip van visits the site. Pitches adequate size. Warden very particular about exactly how units are parked down to the last inch.

This is our third time here. It is a lovely well spaced out flat site and great as we had my elderly parents with us. It is a nice walk from the site to Brean beach.
Only down side is as said in other reviews there is no dog walk and you have to walk them on a small lane.
Lots of great places within easy reach and a fishing come cider farm just up the lane.
The people in the office were so helpful and friendly even waved to us when we left. Would use this site again as a holiday or just a stop off.

Stopped here for 3 nights on the way from Nottingham to Tintagel, to break the journey and see another part of the country.
The toilet block, information room and all areas of the site are very well kept. The playground was great for our 10 year old.
The beach is walking distance over the sand dunes, but it's quite a challenging walk. The beach itself is huge, very windy, and at low tide dangerous mud is exposed so be careful!
You can park on the beach which was quite a novelty.
Burnham on Sea is very nice, good variety of shops and nice beach.
Hurn Lane site is next to a commercial site, so be careful where you pitch if you don't like the noise. We never heard anything on our pitch.
All pitches looked level.
On reflection, we probably should have only stopped 2 nights, as the area wasn't too fantastic, but the site itself is a vey high standard.

This site is one of the best that I have been to.
Site is very well kept, staff are very friendly and helpful.
The pitches are a nice size and not too crowded by other people.
I love the fact that there are so many places that you can get to from the site by walking rather than having to use the car all the time. The beech is just five minuets from the site gate.
The only downside that I have for this site is that there is no dog walk. Having two dogs myself this would be very handy.
Overall, I have recommended this site to all of my friends.

We have just returned from two weeks at this site and totally enjoyed our time.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the site was clean and tidy. My children loved the chip van on Tues and Sat evenings.
We went on nice walks around the local area and also went on some lovely days out to the local cave's.
My children were all made to feel welcome and happy on site at all times.

Stayed for 4 nights in June. Compared to some sites, the approach road to site is not too bad at all as long as you follow the CC directions and arrive after 12.
No dog walk on site so a mad dash in the morning to get our dogs away from site and into the lane. About 10-15 min walk up lane and through dunes onto beach which is huge. Site is good standard, toilet blocks spotless but dated. Wardens friendly.
Site is windy (Brean/Burnham is always windy)which was nice during the hot week we had but may be a little brisk on a cool day. We were pitched opposite the play area which is a lovely spot for all day sun but there is a commercial site alongside, and although it is concealed by a tall hedge, the noise from their occupants was not, so if we returned we would not pitch our van in this section.
The grass pitches were quite spacious, with one or two huge corner plots. The hardstanding areas looked a bit more packed in and a bit like a car park so we chose grass.
