Lovely tranquil site with basic but clean facilities. Very relaxed atmosphere and well placed for visiting St Ives area and Lands End.The situation of the site is very sheltered even on windy days. We live in Cornwall so this site is handy for a quick getaway, and we have visited twice, and will use the site again. Very relaxed and friendly owners.

A basic campsite in a great location with plenty of room allowed between each pitch.
The site runs along a country lane but noise from traffic is minimal as it's a very quiet lane.
My kids appreciated the play park which was dated but usable but can be seen easily from the rest of the field.
The only downside for me were the showers and toilet block. They were clean (dated) but is it so hard to plumb hot water to the washbasins, it would have been nice to have hot water for the morning wash. The showers were ok but I'm not sure about having only a shower screen to separate you from the toilets, perhaps I'm just prudish but a solid door would have been nice, just like most sites have.

This is a lovely quiet site, surrounded by trees and very sheltered, despite the coast being REALLY windy the tent hardly wobbled! Basic facilities but fine! Loos were clean. There is a useful spin drier for the odd bit of washing. Great spot to be close to the beach but just a couple of miles inland. Some nice walks around, next to a country park and close to the coastal path. Bargain price for the site and location!

I spent one night there whilst walking the coastal path.
It's a beautifully located site in a beautiful location not far from the coast.
Facilities are basic but the shower was clean, hot and powerful - not much more you can ask.
The feeling of relaxation is brilliant - you just pitch up and wait for the owner to come around and collect your money - he's more than happy to stop and chat and give great tips for the best area's to view - The walk in the woods that border the site are truly beautiful.
Without a doubt, I'll be returning with the whole family sooner rather than later.

Stayed for just 1 very, very wet & windy night.
Only 3 other campers on site which made it all the more scary, but the very nice farmer was there bright & early the next morning to check everything was OK & that we could all get off the grass.
The facilities were basic but clean, however I used my own because of the weather.
I would imagine this would be a very peaceful & away from it all site & I will happy to go back.

Ditto all previous comments. We loved this site for its old fashioned style of 'pitch where you want and we'll catch up sometime to get some money off you'. It is a level to slightly sloping site on a small b road so road noise is virtually nil. Toilet blocks were clean on our visit and water free and always hot and powerful from the showers. There was a lack of basins in the gents and as previously mentioned a shelf in front of each basin would help to put flannel, toothpaste etc on whilst performing ablutions. They are a bit out of date but still have useful life and whilst there they were carrying out small improvements to facilties.
The owner was very friendly as was his wife and full of old country style.
There is a facility for freezing cool packs although technically not on site, you need to take a 5 minute stroll up to the main farm house and get them put in the freezer so definitely take 2 full sets of them so you have 1 freezing and one in use.
There are no pubs that close to site (10 min drive) and supermarkets are within a short 10 min drive into Cambourne where you'll find the high street or a choice of 2 Tesco's.
All in all a lovely, quiet, out of the way site and would definitely reccomend and visit again.

Just spent three nights at this campsite and the previous reviews are spot on, as is their own website. This is an 'old school' campsite.
We found this okay as we don't like to be bothered too much or have too many restrictions before we've even pitched up.
The toilets and showers are old and could do with a bit more attention when cleaning, but certainly usable. A bit more effort such as a few shelves for toilet bags and clothes would be easy and make a huge difference.
The site is very well placed for touring Cornwall, we'd definitely return.

Stayed here in our tent with 2 kids then aged 3 & 10 and its a lovely laid back site, we did book but there's no hard and fast rules about pitches here, just pitch up where you fancy. As such one word of warning don't pitch near the playground or you'll get no peace at all as the kids are left to themselves.
Facilities are basic but fine and the owners are very friendly and I think the prices reflect the facilities on offer.
Near fantastic beach (Gwithian sands), amazing fish and chips at Portreath and near loads of fab things - Lappa Valley & St Michaels Mount were a couple we did.
It was a great stay, no doubt partly due to decent weather for the 10 days we were there!

Good site with all the basic requirements, was busy but didn't seem cramped.
Showers, toilets all ok, but could of done with more washing up facilities (one sink with hot water and one with cold water), but you get by.
Excellent location for beaches, NT properties, supermarkets(Tesco & Morrisons all within 5-10 min drive)and wet weather attractions.
Owner relaxed style of management, pay me whenever, I'll see you tomorrow or the next day!

My family and I have just returned from Magor Farm campsite and have had a great time. The site is easy to find and when you get there unless you have booked an electric hook up you can pitch anywhere you like. The pitch sizes for the hookups that we had are huge.
The play ground was enjoyed very much by our children, there are swings a see saw and plenty of sand to dig in. The toilets and wash area are basic but adequate they could have been a little cleaner but hey when camping who bothers about a bit of dirt! There was plenty of hot water at all times of the day. In the list of things the campsite had it said there was a launderette, there wasn't it was just a sink with hot water but there is a very good spinner that leaves clothes virtually dry.
We have only one thing bad to say and that is that the site would do good to install more sinks in the washing up area so that there is not such a queue after every meal time, apart from that we have had a fab holiday and will definitely recommend the site to anyone young or old. It was great and the hot sunny weather definitely helped.
