Just come back from spending 4 nights here, the wardens were brilliant, I only rang up on the morning of departure! The site was very tidy and clean.
The children 5 and 10 were not at all fazed by the fact there was no other children and there is a small playpark in the village that the o/h took them to. Leyburn and Bedale are a short drive away.
The showers and toilets were clean and tidy, never needed to queue for them.
The weather was amazing for the whole time we were there, we went primarily to see the waterfalls, so could've done with a little rain.

Nice site - well laid out & friendly owners. After checking in you are shown to your pitch and guided on. Any road noise is not a problem. Not far off A1 between Bedale & Leyburn. Well placed for access to The Dales.
Dated but very clean facilities. A lot of seasonal bookers on site so may be busier at weekends. Pub over the road is closed on Mondays but well worth a visit for a meal. Prices for food may be a little more but the choice and quality is excellent. Will definitely visit this site again.

We've just returned from a child free weekend away at this site. All I can say is that it's been a while since we've been to such a quiet and tranquil site! It was perfect for a weekend without our children especially seeing as it has a lovely pub across the road!
The facilities were very clean but not too spacious. After reading reviews on here I had picked up that the showers near reception were bigger so we made sure we went to these ones. My husband checked the other shower block and said they were smaller. Apart from that the water was hot and the showers were clean so no real complaints!
All in all it was a lovely relaxing adult weekend as we wished. One thing I won't be doing though is bringing my children to this site. They would be driven mad by the lack of children and activity! The site does welcome children but as a parent I would say that it is worth checking other sites in the area if you want to keep the kiddies happy!

Stayed for 11 nights over the Easter and May bank holiday. When we arrived we were greeted by Mr. Warden who was soon joined by Mrs. Warden who explained where everything was, really nice couple
Mr. Warden and husband walked over to our pitch while I drove round told us exactly where to park leaving good space between vans.
The site was very clean. The wardens were really nice, couldn't meet a nicer couple, nothing was any bother even when I blew the electric on a Saturday night, Mr warden was quite happy to reset them nothing seem to bother them,
Would go back without a doubt

After the reviews we checked on we decided to book this site for 3 nights. We found the staff not that accommodating, also the cleanliness of the toilets and shower cubicles was not the best. It is close to Constable Hall that you can walk down to but you have to pay to walk around the gardens which was probably the better thing there. You cannot walk anywhere else so there's not much to do unless you use your vehicle. Our highlight of our stay here was the Chinese meal we had in Leyburn a set menu for 2 which was big enough for 3-4 people.

We have just had a 3 night stay at this site and found it to be a very well kept and run site. There are a lot of seasonal pitched touring caravans as opposed to residential caravans. The site is very quiet, with mainly older people, there were no kids apart from our two grand children 2 & 5 who missed there not being any play area for children. We were lucky and got a good pitch near to the facilities block which was level across the axle, low at the back and not too high at the front. Some pitches need good blocks as the site is sloping. The toilets are well maintained and kept very clean. If we are in the area again, the site is ideal

Quiet, extremely well maintained site. Most caravans were seasonal pitches. All pitches grass, most on unlevel ground. Amazing amount of wildlife, saw a woodpecker and fantastic display by house martins catching insects.
Wardens seemed to work all hours of the day, constantly maintaining site. Waste bins emptied everyday, toilets immaculate.
Dog walk on site with 2 'doggy waste' bins, negative point was there was no footpath on road outside park, so unable to walk dogs off site without taking car. Road is a main road between Leyburn and Bedale, not excessively busy but speed limit was 60 mph so not a good idea to walk on.
Excellent pub over the road.
Leyburn is 5 min car journey good selection of amenities, Masham is 20 mins away well worth a visit. Site is a good location if you don't mind taking car out everyday otherwise its a bit isolated.

We have just returned from spending 4 days over Easter at this site - and we'll definitely be going back. It's a clean, quiet and tidy, un-assuming site which is perfect for a peaceful few days away in lovely North Yorkshire countryside.
Right from the start, the wardens could not have been more friendly and helpful. 'Mr Warden' (Tony) bothered to ring me back in the first place when I left a telephone message enquiring about an Easter weekend booking. 'Mrs Warden' in Reception was patient and helped me work out which pitch would suit us best when we arrived. They make you feel really welcome.
If only they could have controlled the weather though. There are no hard-standings at all, and the constant rain in the few days before our arrival had already made the ground very soft. The heavy rain over the weekend compounded this, and vehicles (even 4x4's) kept getting stuck. Not a problem! The fantastic and very capable Mr Warden towed cars and caravans alike out with his tow-truck. Service - and with a smile to boot!
The site has no shop - so what; Leyburn is just up the road in one direction and Bedale in the other. (I'm pretty sure milk and newspapers are on sale at the site's Reception.)
The shower/toilet block we used was small, thoroughly clean and fresh (though maybe a little on the chilly side). Although only two ladies loos and two shower cubicles, even over the busy Bank Holiday weekend there was no waiting.
The bins/waste disposal areas were immaculate - even in the dreadful weather conditions.
The site itself is not at all level - which I love because it gives the place lots of character. The pitches are spacious - and not in rigid rows, which adds to the relaxed feel generally.
There's a lovely pub (Wyvill Arms) right across the road from the site entrance - where the food is not cheap but very, very good. It's advisable to book to be sure of a table.
The rain was so bad that we couldn't even get to visit the Constable Burton Gardens which are right next door - ironic since it's what drew us to the site in the first place. We will just have to go back!

Just been to this park for a lovely, relaxing long weekend. This park is so peaceful it's exactly what we have been looking for. The new owners could not have been more helpful and friendly. We used to go here 10 years ago until we gave up caravanning and the park is exactly as we remembered it.
The toilets and showers were kept immaculate at all times of the day.
This caravan park is ideal for couples wanting a quiet holiday.
This is an ideal base for touring North Yorkshire, and the other reviews must have been posted before the new owners took over as this is definitely the best caravan park we have been to in a long time.
There is a lovely pub/restaurant just across the road called The Wyvile Arms and the food is really good

What a fantastic site. Clean and tidy. Good service. Warm Welcome. The site is situated not far from Leyburn. Constable Burton Hall gardens is well worth a visit in the spring to see the fantastic display of daffodils. The pitches are well spaced out and the facilities are spot on. The pub opposite the site has a warm welcome and good food at a reasonable price
