Spent a long weekend here. Large area for tourers was fairly full (mainly residents). Large camping field. All facilities were good but not really enough of them. Two washing up points (2 sinks at each), shower/toilet blocks small (and no mops so got dirty between the frequent cleaner visits), two stand pipes and two chem waste points. Bizarrely no queues even though site was busy - suspect a lot staying in large number of statics. Shop all but non-existent. Rubbish skips at the site entrance, a ½ mile hike away. The small heated pool and club house area v.Good, food and bar prices seemed reasonable (didn’t sample them). Nothing in walking distance of the site. Would return for a weekend but I think all the oddities would grate on a longer stay. Good for Oakwood - 15 mins away

Only paid £25.98 for 2 nights, pitch with ehu and our dog, very good value for money. We were on pitch H1, really large slightly sloping but not too much.
On arrival the girl on reception was very friendly, driving up to the touring area and was nicely surprised, the pool was small but looked welcoming as did the Stable Bar. One portocabin type shower and toilet block by the touring area, with 2 showers and toilets in male and females, and a little further down another 2 shower blocks , always immaculate and very modern. Only 1 water tap for the whole touring and camping area, a little far to carry back to the motorhome, should be more really.
Was surprised at the size of the pitch, didn't put our awning up as the weather was fab, but could have with plenty of room left! Behind the touring area is a large field with football posts, ideal for the kids and exercising the dog! Play park down by the shower blocks, looked quite nice! Small games room with launderette next to it. The Stable Bar was good, very reasonable prices on the drinks, didn't try the food but the menu looked fairly pricey, but typical of this area really! Lots of seasonal tourers in the bar but all were friendly and welcoming!
A few essentials sold at reception, probably would benefit from a shop!
Campsite in a excellent location for exploring Pembrokeshire as it is central to Tenby ,Saundersfoot, Oakwood park, Haverfordwest, Newgale, St Davids or turn left out of the campsite and head up to Cardigan! All fabulous areas. Would recommend this site to others, especially as its so cheap! Would definitely go again!

This is a truly lovely site, the pool is very warm but a little on the small side. The washrooms and showers are well kept and very modern. The bar is small and quaint and very welcoming. The staff are very friendly and it is a short drive to more facilities and s delightful little town. We can also recommend the amusement park (mini alton towers). The only negative thing was that we were camping and the tents are at the top of a field, quite a long walk from the facilities. The static caravans and tourers were right next to the toilet and wash blocks and didn't really use then. Felt a little bit like an afterthought. Even the tap was at the bottom of the hill. So, having now purchased our first caravan we are keen to return as it is perfect for us. Not highly recommended for tents, having said that my 3 year old, 13 and 14 year old boys loved the wide open space of the camping field and we all had a brilliant and memorable holiday.

We spent an enjoyable week here at the beginning of August, the weather was mixed but didnt stop us using the sites facilities. The location is good away from busy roads and very safe for the Kids.
The pitch was a good size on a slight slope but no problem,Our kids enjoyed the Swimming pool the water was lovely and warm and spotlessly clean.
The club was very good also with the food well priced and very very good value. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially the reception staff. The toilets were well looked after and cleaned several times a day although there could be more of them. The only complaint we had was the lack of bins (as said before).
This site is excellent and would recommend it to anyone.

We visited this site with our tent and found this to be a much nicer site than it`s sister site ¬Woodland Vale¬. We were lucky we had four days of boiling hot sunshine.
We felt that his site has much more positives than negatives, the pool was lovely and warm and not too deep which meant my three year old could play at the shallow end and still touch the floor, and the area around the pool was nice with plenty of chairs and loungers for adults to sit while kids played. The small club house was well stocked and we ate there on our last night, food great and well priced, ( much better than the local chippy in narberth and cheaper too) toilets were clean and central to pitch site, I felt that the facilities were actually closer for the touring field than the static caravans.
The bad points ere that the two toilet blocks were not always open together and the water temperature in the showers was much too hot, it was too hot for me (I had to hop in and out to avoid burning) and my husband heard a few other men complaining, It was so hot that my children couldn't actually shower for the four days, I had to carry warm water to the tent and wash them there!
However on the whole a lovely site, would use again as very reasonable priced but would have an electric hook up next time so we can wash in comfort with our own hot water! Also if you are more interested in tenby itself this site is a little far out. 8/10

My family and I stayed at the Grondre Caravan Park recently and I just wanted you to know what a fantastic time we had, from the moment we arrived and met Kerry Brown we had a brilliant time. Kerry ensured that we were ok with our pitch, that my daughter was aware of and attended the kids club in the Stable Inn and what a great place this is! The food there was lovely too. Even though the park was very busy it was never noisy and the on park facilities were great with free showers as well! Kerry really made sure that we had everything we needed, she is a superb hostess. The kids loved the pool and the more it rained on them the more they wanted to be in it. I understand that a bigger laundry room is on the cards and we look forward to using this facility when we return next year and we definitely will be back as the park is a great base for Oakwood and Folly Farm,

Paid £20 per night for touring ptich with EHU for 4 people. Mixed feelings:
Positives -
Outdoor pool was lovely and warm.
Reception staff nice and friendly as were the European ground staff.
Shower block spotless when we arrived midday on Wed.
Bar looked clean and tidy. Does meals and takeaways. Didn't eat there so can't comment on food.
Spacious pitches, slightly sloping but not too bad apart from a block of touring pitches next to the play area, this was very sloping.
Wi-fi access available.
Site great for lovely beaches and the theme park of Oakwood and new water park Blue Lagoon are just about a 10 min drive away.
Negatives -
Only 1 row for tourers, the rest of the caravan pitches were seasonals most of whom only appeared at weekends.
Rarely did both loos in either block have any loo paper - so invested in my own!
There are 2 wash blocks situated next door to one another Total of 4 loos and 6 showers for ladies and same for gents. However one block was closed overnight and still closed when I showered at between 8am and 9am each morning reducing the availability to half. This wasn't enough at that time of day.
Shower pressure variable and temperature not adjustable - on a hot day I'd have preferred to have been able to have taken a cooler shower as it was set pretty hot. Heard a mum of a toddler saying the water was too hot for her kids.
The seasonal pitches have tarmac roads to access them, the touring row didn't. Grass was turning to mud after just a few days of rain.
No serviced pitches on site.
Only one fresh water point for all the caravans and tents. We are used to having more on sites we've been to before.
Rubbish has to be taken to the skips at the entrance to the site which is much too far to walk with it so everyone drives their rubbish to the skips. There are no bins anywhere else on site. However we noticed towards the end of our stay that the guy on the quad bike circuits the touring/camping field at about 10am and you can throw rubbish bags into his trailer if you're around then and spot him.
Wifi cost £6 per day (but cheaper if you book it for longer) but signal was 'very low' which meant we couldn't use our laptop for anything other than accessing very basic websites - anything too fancy seemed to be beyond it. Hence couldn't access UKCS for a whole week!

We were also there over the August bank holiday week but in a tent.We felt they packed in rather too many people over the weekend, making it a bit noisy, but after most people left on the Monday it was very pleasant. It's true there is no shop but you can get basics like milk from reception. My daughter and her friend (age 14) would have happily stayed in the pool the whole time-apparently it was really warm.Nearest big supermarket we found was at Haverfordwest.Good chip shop in Narberth!Good site for kids and good value -we paid $49 for 5 nights without a hookup.

Stayed here over the bank holiday in August. Its a small/medium sized campsite, some of the touring field is on a slight slope, we were on the worst part but it wasn't that much of an issue. Pitches are of good size, there is a kids park, outdoor medium sized heated pool which was always full! The clubhouse is quite good, drinks are reasonable, entertainment on a Wed & Sat and bingo every other night, we didn't see the entertainment but could hear it and it sounded good. Food was reasonable in the pub also, there is no on-site shop so make sure you have everything you need, there is a Spar just a bit further on though. The toilets were clean, although there were only 8 ladies toilets and 6 showers on-site. The showers were always warm but the water pressure was a bit hit and miss but we got there in the end. I have never seen toilets being cleaned so much as I did on this site, even at 11.45pm on the Friday night! The road into the site is very bumpy and not very caravan friendly so drive slow, there are also speed ramps which are invisible to the naked eye until you hit them! On the whole a nice friendly site, we would go back, we were very lucky in that we had brilliant weather.

This was our 2nd visit to Grondre. Paid £15 per night for a tent with electric. Paid extra for our day tent, £3 per night. Just off the A40, up the road from Whitland, with it's medium sized Co-op. Not too far from Narbeth with lots of shops inc Costcutters and just up the road, passed the entrance to the camp is a Spar. Folly farm and Oakwood are within a few miles. They have made quite a few changes, like the reception has moved and is a lot easier to find (on the left just past the big house). Here they sell a few basic items of food, not sure on the prices. They've converted the old building into apartment type ( think they're called the annex) Bit further round is the heated pool which is fenced off. It's not too deep and was quite warm. Then there's the bar and arcade area. Bar does very nice reasonably priced food and drink. Big screen TV and they had an artist on during our stay, sorry didn't sample it as out with the outlaws in Saundersfoot. Laundry is here and is top notch! Industrial washer and dryer. Don't put your clothes in the dryer for too long as it dries VERY quickly. Round the back there's the chemical loo disposal in a wooden shelter. Divided by a wood partition there are 2 sinks, no plug so take a bowl, but plenty of hot water. There are 2 new loo/shower blocks, each has 2 toilets and 3 free showers ( well there are in the ladies ) They did have a problem with the water pressure when we were there but I think they were trying to sort that out. Very clean. There's a fenced off play area at the bottom of the slope Gravel roads up to the top, but these stop at the tent area. 1st couple of rows are for elec and the rest at the top are without. Theres a football area to the far left. Water pipe on the right so not too far to go. We had plot TE 3 which faced down the slope, we had sun all day! Fantastic pitch. Grondre is not big, but has everything we needed.
