We arrived here for three nights whilst touring Scotland, what a magnificant location with superb views looking up towards Ben Nevis. The site is very well kept and laid out with different areas; a few static vans, touring pitches then an area for tents, the grounds were very well kept. The toilet blocks were large with plenty of showers, though a little bit of a juggling act to get dressed without getting your clothes damp from the wet floor, but just a minor little 'pick', we never had to wait for a shower and hot water was endless. Everything was clean and well looked after in the toilet and dishwashing area.
Off the site if you turn to the right a 15 minute walk will take you to Neptune's staircase. Google it. It's great to see, and we had the pleasure of watching two boats descending the 8 locks, pretty impressive! And next to this enjoy lunch at the pub! If you are up in the Fort William area you will not be disappointed with this site.

After a somewhat different experience elsewhere the night before, the Welcome on arrival couldn't have been better and more friendly. Nothing seemed too much trouble for anyone even when they were off duty.
The site is well laid out with level hardstands and grass pitches for motorhomes and caravans with a separate level area for tents and more motorhomes adjacent. All pitches offer great views of Ben Nevis.
The facilities were excellent and clean, with free Wi-Fi available in the laundry. The shop is well stocked with the usual supplies plus one of the best stocks of camping equipment and spares I've ever seen at a campsite.
On the down side it is a little tucked away but there are regular bus services into Fort William from the nearby health centre on weekdays. Back on site, the early morning collection of rubbish and the loading/unloading of gas bottles detracted a little but we realise these things have to been done!
All in all such a great site at £18 per night with EHU that we stayed an extra night to enjoy it all.

Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of June. We did not book but there was plenty of space. Staff were very friendly and we were able to camp where we liked.
The grass was well maintained and flat. There were picnic benches dotted around for use which is an added bonus.
The campsite is next to the river and I love going to sleep to the sound of the water (if you're camped on the right side of the campsite). You can see Ben Nevis from the campsite too.
The facilities were very clean and well maintained. Showers were hot.
The room to wash your dishes is pretty small but it didn't really matter.
Laundry facilities on site too - buy tokens from the shop.
Would return if I ever make it that far North again!

We were made very welcome at this lovely campsite. Very friendly and helpful staff nothing was too much trouble.
It is at the foot of Ben Nevis and the site is well kept and has a nice cosy feel about it.
The toilet/shower block was always spotless with lots of room in the showers and plenty of hot water.
Cannot find any faults with this site at all so keep up the good work as we will definitely be returning. Thank You.

We stayed here for 1 night on the way to Isle of Skye. The site was very clean and the facilities were very good. The pitches were well mainbtained but a little small for a caravan and an awning. The site is within walking distance of Ben Nevis and the town is a little further, which has all the shops you need. The site is quiet and the staff were very friendly. There was also an on site shop but I did not go in so cannot comment on how good it is.

always a great welcome from all staff
My wife and I have visited this site many times and always come back because we know everything is perfect for us, the views and it's near all the shops.
The site itself is very clean and tidy like all the toilets showers and the complete campsite.
There is a shop on site with lots of things to choose from and you can but your gas bottles also.
Yes we be back again and again.

This site is handily located a few miles outside Fort William – close enough to frequent the shops and supermarkets (or even catch the regular bus into town from the nearby high school), yet in a fabulous rustic setting alongside the River Lochy with spectacular views of Ben Nevis. The only downside to being by the river is the seasonal air raids by squadrons of midges, which can make life very uncomfortable for the poor souls they elect to attack. Perhaps the locals give off different pheromones that repel the blighters instead!
The site itself is well maintained, with static caravans and lodges higher up adjacent the road, touring caravans in the middle (you can choose hard-core or grass pitches as you prefer) and tents actually down by the river itself.
The wash block is clean, with plenty of showers and toilets, although the showers would benefit from having an internal curtain to help keep your clothes dry from splashes. There is a charge for the use of hair-dryers (although the adjacent hand-dryers are free - so guess which one most blokes use to dry their hair with!)
One point to note if you like a lie-in in the morning is that the gas bottle store is located next to the caravan pitches and there can be quite a bit of clanging and clonging going on when the delivery lorry turns up. Otherwise, the staff are friendly, with a well-stocked reception area and a shop.
We would happily recommend this site to anyone looking for a central spot from which to explore the Scottish Highlands. Glen Nevis is ten minutes away in the car, and there is direct cycle access to the Caledonian Canal and the shoreline of Loch Linnhe as it skirts Caol and Corpach. Meanwhile, Mallaig, Oban, Glencoe and Loch Ness are also within an afternoon’s drive of the site. Just remember to dose up on insect repellent if you plan on staying during the summer!

Excellent site. Very well set out. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Views are stunning. During our month-long touring holiday we stayed here on two separate occasions as it was so well located.
It is a fair walk (about 2-3 miles into centre of Fort William). Take the signposted footpath it is a pleasant and quiet walk.
The Grog and Gruel Pub in the town is dog-friendly but expensive for food. The Indian Garden does an excellent takeaway.
The Morrisons store is the best ever, you can buy anything in there, great for topping up the fridge, etc. Before setting off on your travels again.
Will definitely return many times.

Our visit to Fort William was rather forced upon us when my husband took ill and was admitted to the Bedford Hospital. I was left with a car and a motorhome which were parked in a town car park. The hospital was extremely helpful in trying to locate a Caravan Park for me and I was unbelievably lucky to be sent to Lochy Holiday Park. I had to drive the car out to the Park as they do not accept telephone bookings, but the welcome I received and the concern shown was outstanding. We have had the motorhome for only a few months and I was worried because I had never driven it or set it up on site before, however, the charming lady on Reception called the wonderful Dennis who was despatched with me in my car to drive the motorhome back to the Park where he pitched it on a hardstanding pitch, big enough to take both the motorhome and the car. When I arrived back at the Park in the evening, I collected the keys from Reception (which is open until about 10pm every night – how good is that) and Dennis came along to ensure I was able to connect electricity, gas, etc. The following day he got the TV up and working for me too. I never did find out the names of the other 3 very helpful and charming people who manned Reception, but they too went above and beyond the call of duty. Each day they were keen to know how my husband was progressing, stressing that he was in an excellent hospital (he was) and offering reassurance at every turn. I ended up having to stay 5 nights before he was transferred to a hospital nearer where we live. I will never forget the help I received from complete strangers at a difficult time. As well has having the best owners/wardens Lochy is a beautiful site, nestled as it is in the sight of Ben Nevis with easy access to Fort William. It is very well maintained and the toilet/shower blocks were spotless, laundry facilities were first class and the shop was so well stocked. When my husband has recovered we will certainly be visiting this 5 star ++ site again.

We stayed at this camp in July with the intention of climbing Ben Nevis.
The camp was fine and clean although a little noisy at night but we didn't really mind that. Toilets and showers are very clean with plenty of cubicles. I never had to wait for a shower. There is a laundry and drying rooms for washing and also a little shop.
The park is spacious and tents don't have to be too close. One little complaint though: On arrival the staff didn't know if there were electric hook ups available and that we would have to search ourselves. It would have been nice if they would have known and shown us to our pitch.
We paid 19. 00 per night for two adults and a child including electric which is exceptional value for money. We recommend it and we will come back again.
