No WiFi, A hike to the bins and the standard of cleanliness of the toilets leaves a lot to be desired. Not for us!
The price is comparable with the two leading clubs which are better presented although you have to pay a membership fee it's worth it as you know what to expect.

Beautiful location, great access to dog walks on the old railway line.
The site is very peaceful, flat and clean. The owners were really friendly.
The site sells fresh eggs, milk, orange juice and ice cream. Barnard castle is a short drive away.
Doe Park is a great base to walk to Cotherstone, Mickleton and Romaldkirk (The Kirk Inn at Romaldkirk is unusual, quirky and well worth a visit) The Fox and Hounds pub is in walking distance, does decent pub food and all are dog friendly.
We will definitely be back here!

Amazing site and very helpful wardens.
This was our first ever outing in our motorhome so newbies, however everyone on the site were so helpful and shared their life long tips on making camping life as easy as possible.
A good bus service is available at the gate which takes you directly to Barnard castle for a bit retail therapy and delicious bites to eat.
This site is a little "Hidden Gem" and we will definitely be returning soon.
Thanks so much for our stay

I called this campsite out the blue and was lucky enough to get in.
On arrival I was met by a lovely lady who sorted me out with all I required.
Beautiful spot excellent dog walks and lovely people.
This is a quiet site that will suit likeminded people I will be back as I loved it. ,

Our favourite Caravan site to date.
Beautiful surrounding countryside. A definite chill out place with all you need.
Staff are so friendly and go out of their way.
There is no shop on site but shops near by.
Booked our next "Chill out " holiday.

Lovely site, facilities clean and covid safe. Lovely friendly staff.
Enjoyed the walks from site
Would have loved to have spent another week.
Only downside there's no local fully stocked shop any more in the village, so car is useful (hubby returned to work) site could do with a small shop maybe? daughter and I walking everywhere.
We will return

First trip out since 2019 and visited this site for the first time. We found a lovely clean, dog friendly site which was ideal for us. Good walks for our dog and an abundance of wildlife.
We experienced problems on our journey down with the brakes on our motor home The staff could not have been more helpful. A mechanic from a nearby garage was with us within 20 minutes.
COVID safe with precautions and guidance in place felt very safe. Although we did not visit Barnard castle on this occasion we were given a bus timetable and the bus stop is next to the site entrance.
There is a pub in the nearby village but no shops to browse however Middleton in Teasdale is worth a visit.
Very quiet place to relax. Will definitely return.

Loved the site! Plenty of picturesque walks direct from the site with pubs nearby for us to try next visit as they will be open.
Lovely surroundings and views and very welcoming staff/owners.
Just an hour from us even though there are plenty of other sites to visit, we will be returning soon.
Facilities were closed for covid so couldn't comment.
Looked ideal for families with small children.

What a great site, clean and very well maintained.
Spacious pitches which in these uncertain times felt very safe.
Alison and Stephen are very friendly and helpful.
Fabulous walking around Teesdale, lovely places to visit.
Our break was not spoilt by the toilet blocks being closed - fully understand the reasons for this.
All in all a great site and great value for money
