Located just a couple of miles from Looe, and with Polperro and Seaton (dogs allowed on beach - recommended!) within easy reach, Tregoad Park was an ideal base for making the most of the Easter sunshine! The whole site is on a situated on hillside with beautiful countryside views and the sea in the distance. The serviced pitches (both grass and hard-standing) are terraced, however if you do go for a non-electric pitch be aware that pretty much all of them are sloping, some severely! Our large electric pitch was located in the lower and more attractive part of the site. The toilet / shower block that serves the lower field was closed for refurbishment during our stay, so it was a 5 minute trudge uphill to the top of the site to the clean and modern upper block. Not really much of a problem for us but we feel we should have been informed of this when we booked! The on-site bar and bistro was lively during the Bank Holiday weekend, with the entertainment (disco) firmly focused on the young children. It would have nice to have seen something a bit more adult orientated, particularly as the site has plenty of other distractions for the little ones including a playground, large games room and cinema! A quick note to caravanners, I would estimate that around 70% of the caravans were long term pitches, the hard-standing areas in particular were not landscaped at all making for quite an unattractive sight! Despite a very pleasant stay this is probably one we wouldn't return to.

My husband and I stayed at Tregoad for a week and we were absolutely thrilled with our caravan and the site itself. The 2 bedroom home was extremely spacious, clean and fully equipped with everything we needed for our holiday. The views down to the sea into Looe bay were something we will miss of a morning! The staff at Tregoad were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful and we would recommend this site to everyone! It was a sad day when we had to leave!

We booked for a week on this site, and it was well worth the money, kids club of a morning and the kids disco every night and then the family entertainment, we had 5 kids with us who went the cinema every night cost £1 and was worth the peace and quiet for a couple of hours. Very clean and nice site, owners really nice, every friendly, we are from liverpool and was made very welcome (for a change). Cafe was reasonable priced, breakfast was lovely and the bar was very good. Quiz nights and discos which was good as the weather wasnt that nice when we went, so the nightly entertainment made up for the day, especially karaoke night. The site itself was well kept we had 3 tourers and was pitched all together, right by all facilities we needed. Showers and toilets was clean and the outdoor pool was a bit small but ideal for the kids. There is a games room as well and a park.
A very good site if you have children, would definitely recommend this site and if it was a bit closer we would return to it.

Excellent time spent at the site. Good facilities, excellent pitch, incredibly friendly staff. The owner, Pete is very hands on and you see him doing most things on site, even the kids disco one evening. Brilliantly located near the gorgeous Looe which we went to almost everyday crabbing with the kids. However I would not recommend the the Chinese restaurant (it was over priced and you were served in a rushed way). But the beaches were great and very safe. At tregoad the Toilet and shower facilities very good. Hot water, free showers and driers, which is rare. We were at the top of the site and it tended to be little windy during our stay so not much call for sitting outside the tent . The site was well maintained and there were lots of young people but it was never noisy. Pool was small but the kids loved it, it was never overcrowded. I felt it was an excellent idea to have a film showing for the kids every night, as it gave us adults some time to have a drink, partake in quizzes and generally relax for 90 minutes. The bar was good and the drinks reasonably priced, with friendly bar staff. Not too much of a fan of the food, I felt the buffet evening was a bit of a rip off. You paid 5.95 and could only fill your plate once, and the table was guarded by over vigilant staff. I found it unprofessional to see these same staff members tucking in to the expensive buffet and drinking (in uniform) in the bar. However, due to the poor turnout for the buffet, we were asked to help ourselves to what was left (which was a lot!) However, the kids disco was great and our children loved it, the DJ was generous giving out prices to kids (ours won three times!) and the quizzes and games for adults was good fun and again, generous with prizes. We are used to going to France camping whereby everything is run by young reps and redcoat type entertainers and the one ingredient lacking is the personal touch. There was a genuine feeling that Pete and his crew cared for each camper and were always courteous and polite. There is also a sense that if we returned, he would remember us! This appears to be mixed review but I would highly recommend this campsite for its views, facilities, personal touch, decent pitches, evening entertainment and location (for travelling to Newquay, one hour away, Plymouth, 30 minutes away, St Austell, 40 minutes away and Looe, five minutes away). Finally, the hardest critics of all, my kids, they said they had the best holiday ever. So well done tregoad and we will DEFINITELY book again soon

We stayed at this site over the Easter period . The shop and reception area gave a good initial impression, sadly this was not to last . A lot of seasonal pitches with some vans that looked to be far from looked after gave the park a run down feel . Work was being carried out on the children's play field and on the dog walk whilst we were there, unfortunately we had not been informed of this at the time of booking. The bar / restaurant area was nice and bright and looked newly refurbished , however the toilet and showers were of a very poor standard not very clean and in desperate need of modernisation . The staff we encountered were pleasant although we spent most of our time off the park visiting the local attractions , of which there are many .

This site wasn't one of the best we have been to. Firstly pitch boundaries weren't very clear and we were afraid of pitching onto someone else's space. The pool and the shop were quite small, although adequate. Food in the restaurant was quite expensive. The cinema had one showing at 9pm while we were there, one film was two and a half hours long, we felt this was too late for younger children. The toilets were clean, and we never had to queue for showers. Looe is well worth visiting, and Polperro is a great day out. We ended up leaving a day early as they seemed to have a big problem with wasps, there must have been a nest nearby as there were so many of them.

We chose to stay at this site after reading the reviews and therefore expected a lot more than we got! We arrived late afternoon without pre-booking and were given a friendly welcome within the spacious reception and site shop which seemed well stocked. At first glance the site seemed very busy, these were however caravans stored on site and surrounded by overgrown grass, and the site was mostly deserted. Our pitch was accessed by driving up a rocky grass bank on which we heard a neighbouring camper damage the bumper of their car. The pitch was average sized although we were in a small two man tent, it was however steeply sloping and although the tent was pitched to compensate for it, we barely slept a wink as we were constantly sliding down to one end of the tent! The toilets and showers were disappointing, not very clean and in desperate need of modernisation. Although the bar/clubhouse, crazy golf and small pool may be improvements to attract customers we strongly believe they should get the basics right first!
Although reasonably priced, we won't be returning to this site

Very enjoyable. Smallish site but good facilities - bar OK, served food (didn't try any) - small shop (not great) - Crazy golf a bit naff. Not too noisy but site wasn't too full. A lot of caravanners seems to have come and keep coming. Dead good weather whilst we were there so kids almost lived in outdoor pool.
Our pitch was on a bit of a slope but didn't seem to be too many flat ones. Definitely would return.

I loved this site. The owners were really friendly and helpful. the shop was well stocked, and the bar/restaurant was modern and clean. My children loved the park area and the outdoor pool was nice, not too big. The showers were not all that good but I have heard they have a new shower block built since. Nearby there is a lovely beach and Looe is just down the road. Looking forward to visiting again..

We've just returned from a weeks holiday. The site was clean, showers adequate, very well kept. Having a young family though we couldn't recommend it to others. For the first part of the week, no problems, for the remainder when the site started to fill up and the clubhouse opened then it became a noisy playground up until 11.30 pm each night. Screaming toddlers through to aggressive teenagers, who became intimidating when politely asked to keep the noise down. I think this is going to be up to the site owners to manage this as we won't go back and neither will the friends we went with. We're not being killjoys, this site is a nice friendly place, just a little more parental control needed and respect for others
