What a lovely site. Quiet, great location, very clean facilities, very helpful owners. Only 1 male and 1 female shower but never had to wait. The site is very well tended and tidy with generous pitches. A good base as very easy to reach Ludlow, Church Stretton the Long Mynd and many other places. Lots of good pubs within easy reach. My only suggestion would be for a small dog walking area? Will definitely return.

We stayed the last weekend of March for one night. Very friendly welcome. As it was quiet we could pitch anywhere, so we went near the showers, which are clean and tidy. Recycling bins to the right of showers. Slight gradient not really noticeable down the bottom, but did look a more as you got to the top of the field. Village pub 5 to 10 mins walk, take a torch as no street lights. And yes would stay here again

We stopped here for two nights and we will definitely be returning.

The gentleman which showed us to our pitch was very friendly and helpful, his dog was lovely too.

The site is very quiet, well maintained and the toilets/showers were clean and tidy.

There was a slight slope where we were but this wasn't really a problem. From what I could see the slope does increase the further up the site you go so ramps to level you out would be required.

There is a pub within walking distance but we weren't that impressed with it. Plenty of others to go to though in Ludlow & Craven Arms which are only a short distance away in the car. Ludlow is a lovely market town and nice to have a walk round.

Overall really lovely campsite, highly recommended.

We are just back from a glorious week at Wayside camping.

The site is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty and the views are stunning.

The tolet and shower facilities are excellent and clean. There is only one shower per sex but we never had to queue.

The owners were very friendly and helpful.

The Local pub only offers food at the weekend but we had a takeaway delivered to the site from the Massala in Craven Arms which they delivered to our pitch!

There is a community shop about ten minutes walk for general provisions ( Homemade cakes and alcohol )

All in all an excellent site and we would thoroughly recommend it!

We stayed at Wayside for a week in May and came back for another week in June. It is a beautifully kept campsite in the countryside but only a very short distance to the nearest town and only about seven miles to Ludlow which is a lovely black and white medieval walled market town with the River Teme running through and now a gourmet hotspot for food and drink lovers. The people who own the Wayside campsite are really friendly and helpful and truly look after the site. The toilet/shower block is beautifully tiled and the water s piping hot; there is also a separate pot washing area nearby. The views are lovely. Thoroughly recommend.

Stayed at Wayside recently for 8 days.

On arrival was met by warden helper who came straight down with a wheelbrace, helped us level up and wound down the steadies. (This chap could not have been more helpful) Lovely site, clean toilets and shower ! Well positioned for touring Shropshire,

We would certainly visit this site again!

Only issues would be.

50 pence piece to get shower going, would rather pay a little bit more pitch rent to cover this!

Finally, Signeage from Craven Arms non-existent and even when we knew where it was, went past it about 3 times, not good if you've got a caravan on the back!

This was our first time with our touring caravan we have always had tents before and we wanted a site not far from home to try her out. What a lovely site nice and quiet and lovely layout. Toilet block was immaculate and even though there was only one shower in each I never had to queue and we went on a bank holiday weekend.

The people who stay on site a lot could not have been more helpful. Ray even helped us site our tourer as we had not got a clue nothing was too much trouble we had several people come and help us with the awning. You could hear a pin drop after 8pm it was so quiet and the site was pretty much full when we were there.

Part of the site is on a slope but for the experienced camper should not be a problem we were on the flat part at the bottom and it was great for us. The resident fowl were funny to watch too and made some very weird noises. All in all this site is one of the nicest we have stayed on and would return again and recommend to anyone wanting peace and quiet away from it all.

We looked at website before we booked but picture does not do it justice.

What an absolute pleasure to stop at this site. Two of us and the dog (phoebe) were booked here for three nights and loved it so much, we stayed for another.

On asking the owner where the nearest sop was to get some milk, she said in town (2 miles away) and that she was going there so could fetch some for us, and she did - brilliant!

Slight slope but no real problem.

Toilet and shower facilities were nice, clean, high standard etc (i would however, put it on the website that the shower costs50p - we only found out when we got there). (I personally would ditch charging 50p and increase the pitch cost by 50p instead).

And if that is my only gripe then that sums up my overall impression.

They have a couple living in a van who are there to help too - lovely couple too!

We have stopped at various other camps - some stated as 5 star ones! Wayside, completely over shines all of these.

A proper family run environment, with a lovely community atmosphere - simply can't wait to return there.

This campsite is a very friendly campsite and they were very helpful to us as we don't drive they picked us up a the station.

The facilities are very good the hand drier is very powerful you could dry your hair on it. The local pub is very good also with good food.

The only down side was that the council had stopped the bus service as we had to walk two and a half miles back from craven arms to the campsite which was rather dangerous as there wasn't any pavement and the road was very busy.

We would be very happy to go back there again next and hoping they have put a bus service back on.

I suspect this is a pretty good site for those with camper vans and caravans. My son and I used it for a single night at the end of July as part of a walking holiday in Shropshire, for which it was less good.

Positives - apart from the local wildlife, which is great, it's a nice quiet site. The shower block and washing up facilities were really clean. There was plenty of space between us and other occupants.

However, it's not a great site to be a walker/rider at, principally because a) you have to walk down reasonably busy roads to get there, and b) you're very limited for food in the evening. One of the two pubs on Wayside's website has closed, and the other is limited and unwelcoming. You either have to bring your own food or traipse down a busy road to Craven Arms.

Finally, having paid £13 to pitch a 2-man tent, I thought the 50p charge (and only a 50p piece would do; again no mention of that on the website) for the shower was a bit mean-spirited.
