Been here several times and always find a welcome. The owners are friendly and helpful. Facilities are clean and tidy. Peaceful site near river and sheltered. Can't wait until next time.

This site is a great location for Dunkeld with superb local walks. The Shower block is kept spotless and the owners are friendly.
Negatives. Most of the riverside pitches are reserved by people who store their caravans during the week and turn up at the weekend. Anyone who visits are left with the not so good pitches - no real choice - pick what's left basically. It's all grass pitches which can get messy when it rains heavily for a lengthy period and the fun really begins when the grass gets cut relentlessly for 3 hours.
Unfortunately, some of the weekend regulars let the site down by staying up late. 4am (in fact) I heard conversations coming from the touring vans located at the fence beside the big house surrounding their small stove fire and this site advertises that a nice and quiet break will be had. Staff should have some sort of rules in order to prevent this from happening. Many sites have a rule no noise after 11pm. It appears they just turn a blind eye on the matter.
On Saturday. I had at the front side of my caravan at least 10 people sitting in a group having a lively good time drinking, clearly not bothering about respecting others enjoyment. 'I'll go back to the sites peace and quiet statement'.
Best time to visit would be during the week avoiding the weekends or at least take some ear plugs with you.
My suggestions: free up some of the better pitches to give visitors more choice as well as getting the weekend noise problem sorted out so everyone can have a nice and quiet time.

Lovely site next to the river, fantastic clean toilets and showers, lovely place to relax with loads of great walks, fantastic for dogs, would definitely recommend for a quiet place to relax. Pitches may be a bit tight depending on time of year as very busy due to location

Fairly small site in a great location. Although it's just off the A9 there isn't much traffic noise at all. Facilities are modern and clean but could do with more showers (only 3 showers in the gents - and had to queue even though the site wasn't overly busy)
Loads of good walking opportunities from the site with the Hermitage only 5 mins away along a footpath and an easy 15 minute walk into Dunkeld along a riverside footpath.
Plenty paces to eat/drink in Dunkeld (if a little pricey).
Would visit again.

If you like no phone signal, no TV signal, limited radio signal, dogs running free and dog mess on the grass, then this is the place for you. Sadly it was not for me. Brilliant walks and not far to walk to Dunkeld.

We arrived without booking and were so warmly welcomed onto this beautiful site. A river bubbles around the boundary. The toilets and showers were immaculate and hot too!
I would love to return and would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Great Location, Owners extremely Pleasant and very helpful providing good guidance on the site. Our Pitch was excellent and very quiet with lovely views. Loved how quiet the site area was just what we were looking for with lovely walks and only 15 mins to Dunkeld which had lovely places to eat or even to just enjoy a walk.
Toilet area, very clean and tidy, lots of recycling bins around the site along with taps for clean water. No need to walk very far.
Very happy with the site and will be returning regular now as its just a perfect site for some peace & quiet with the adventure into dunkeld if you want something to do also.
Thanks Alison & Nigel

Stayed for one night friendly welcome and pitched right next to the river which is quiet wide and the sound is fantastic. Good facilities on site and a short walk in to town with a good choose of pubs.

Lovely well kept site, great location. The owners always extremely pleasant and helpful. However, we have visited on a number of occasions after heavy rain fall. The grass cuts up badly, caravans having to be towed out making things even worse. This won't deter us from visiting again.
Investing in a few hard standings would make a tremendous difference.
I certainly wouldn't mind paying extra for this facility.

This is our second visit to this site, first came in 2013. Again found it to be a great site, clean with lovely shower and toilet facilities. The site was busy, but still remained clean and not noisy. Perfect location if you have dogs, lots of lovely walks nearby and places in Dunkeld are very dog friendly - worth a visit to Spill the Beans cafe in Dunkeld which serves excellent food and coffee ( and let's dogs in one of rooms). Really like this place and will be back.
