A delightful, attractive site running alongside a pretty river.
Located close to Dunkeld and Birnam (of William Shakespeare's 'Macbeth', and Enid Blyton's 'Tales of Brer Rabbit' fame)
You can walk to Dunkeld by following a wooded path that passes under the A9 (so safer for children) and the National Trust of Scotland's Hermitge site is close by and offers spectacular views when the falls are in spate and fish are a-leaping.
Although located just off the A9 and hence excellently located for visiting Perthshire and beyond, road traffic noise is not a problem.
The toilet and shower block facilities are kept very clean and are excellent. There is not an on-site shop or pub which some might find inconvenient, however this helps keep noise down and these are easily reached in nearby Dunkeld or Birnam, so their absence is not a problem.

Stayed here on a Bank Holiday Friday. It was 'rammed to the gunnels'. Despite this, there was no noise at night time. Deep joy.
The site is ideally located just off the A9. As previously mentioned, Dunkeld is a lovely Village. It is also dog friendly. There is some road noise from traffic going north / south. A river borders the site.
The owners welcome was friendly. Our booking was acknowledged and we were shown to our pitch.
The toilets / showers are clean and well presented. Even at busy times these did not appear to be overloaded.
Many of the pitches are seasonal and the grounds are maintained with pride.

Nice privately owned site. Owners extremely helpful. Toilet /
Shower block very clean and warm. Mostly grass pitches which can be a little muddy after a spell of wet weather, dries out quickly. Hard standing area for motor homes. Lovely walk along the river to Dunkeld, via underpass [A9]. The village has good shops, restaurants and pubs with regular music.
Invermill is located on the edge of the Hermitage which is renowned for it's forrest walks, water fall and Ossian's cave.
The site is very busy at weekends, advisable to book. They have an excellent camping area which is Non Bookable

Arrived midweek a lovely site with easy pleasant walk to Dunkeld.
A friendly village with nice shops, The Athol hotel was very dog friendly with great food & beer. The Hermatage next to the site is a nice walk with the dogs. Toilets are clean and tidy. You need satalite TV on most of the site. The site busied up at the weekend, the pitches were very close. Overall a lovely peaceful relaxing site.

A nice site in a lovely location. Dunkeld village is a pleasant walk away via a couple of pathways and has lots of options for eating. This is a beautiful part of the world and offers lots of walks.
As mentioned elsewhere, space between pitches can be a bit tight when the site is full and TV reception is non-existent on certain parts of the site and poor on the rest. Many of the pitches are on grass, one or two liable to a bit of flooding in patches. The toilet block was always busy when we visited so you may have to time your showers.
Overall though, we'd come back.

Stayed here for a couple of nights when at the Rewind festival in Scone, which is a 30 minute drive. Easy to find - turn off A9, immediate right turn and after about 500 yds cross the bridge and you're at the site entrance.
Owners very friendly and helpful, gave us a brief rundown of the facilities and the local area on arrival. Site doesn't accept cards, so ensure you have cash.
Toilets and showers are fine and kept clean and tidy. The site itself is well-maintained and all grass - we didn't need to level the 'van. Waste can be split into various types of recycling, which is always good to see. Chemical disposal point easy to use and clean.
We pitched next to the river, virtually underneath the branches of the trees and had the soft sound of moving water - very relaxing. Mobile reception poor, we have O2 & EE. However, the site offers free WiFi that we picked up quite easily so no real problems with keeping in touch.
No facilities on-site for children, although this doesn't affect us. There were plenty of youngsters on the site and they managed to play quite happily with balls and bikes.
The only (slightly) negative comment I would make is that the pitches are quite close together. Not generally too much of an issue but I noticed 1 pitch had a 'van + awning and had parked their car alongside also - this made it very 'cosy' for their neighbours. There is plenty of space in the middle of the site for cars to be parked away from the pitches so as to avoid this.
Dunkeld is a 15 minute walk along a path that avoids the road but passes through the wood along the river - pleasant but obviously requires 'sensible' shoes. It has places to eat and things to see, as well as a Co-op for supplies. There are plenty of walks and other things to do nearby.
Would definitely return.

This a good site in particular the toilet and shower facilities which have lots of space and a bench to sit on when you get dressed, essential for those of us that are getting on in years. The site was not too busy as we were there mid week. Our pitch was beside the river complete with visiting ducks. Great if you are happy with the sound of running water day and night. We loved it with the river just outside our window. If you wish you can choose to be away from the river in a more open field area. Lots of electric hook ups and very friendly helpful owner who showed us all facilities and the options of places to choose to site our campervan. This is a grass site so you may need levelling wedges for your wheels. Lots of places to walk and cycle. The nearby Birnam Institute is well worth a visit for good ground coffee and a great lunch menu. It is a gentle stroll, about a fifteen minute, walk from the site. I suspect that this site can be very busy and peak times so I suggest that you give than a call before you visit.

We stopped off here on our way back from Orkney. It was fantastic weather so the tie was full, despite this it was very tranquil and the toilets and showers were spotless. It is ideally situated a short stroll into Dunkeld and you can also walk to The Hermitage, which the dogs loved. We pitched up alongside the river which had easy access. The owners were incredibly helpful and couldn't make you feel more welcome.
The pitches although appeared close together actually had plenty of space.

We were there Easter weekend It was a great place quiet, peaceful and clean. Just a short walk into Dunkeld by way of an underpass safe and well used. The Royal Dunkeld accepts dogs in bar or garden. (nice food. )
The Hermitage run by NTS was great for walks for all ages beautiful waterfalls and only 5-10 walk from site.
The only negative thing is the poor tv reception many used external aerials or satellite dishes.
Going back for a week end of May, can't wait.

Fantastic little site. Friendly owners. First trip with my tourer, couldn't have picked a better place for a bit of peace and quiet. Think I've found my weekend place. Dunkeld is near by town, easy to walk to. Great Indian restaurant. Few hotels and a chippie. Dogs first holiday in a caravan, loved it.
Will be back soon.
