Lovely location close to town centre, beautiful church nearby and lots of country walks as well as a nice town to explore.
Lots of space for children to play ball games in the Summer on site.
Food is nice at the pub and dog friendly which helps.
Long term the owners should look at getting a dry room for rainy days to put clothes to dry and upgrading the second shower (the first is amazingly warm and great pressure)

The meal we had in the pub was brilliant along with their hospitality.
Unfortunately the shower facilities were very poor, cold shower and in a poor state of repair.
Walking distance into Matlock.

Nice location close to Matlock town centre.
Showers and toilets accessible 24 hours. Water top-up. EHU worked well.
TV reception not so good.
Friendly and helpful landlord/landlady
When I was there only the hard standing was open due to continuous heavy rainfall making the field too wet.
About an hour to walk over High Tor/Giddy Edge to Matlock Baths.
Good value and recommended site.

What a lovely place. We were pitched in the extended car park with ehu.
Jan, Phil and family were brilliant hosts, and made us feel very welcome.
We will certainly be returning

Recently stayed here, lovely little place to find. Nice setting, Buses don't run regularly, but taxis are great to get in and out of town.
Church bells were nice to hear during the day but become annoying though the night which is unfair. Let alone on residents that live near by. Needs to be better way of getting rid of the waste instead of pouring down toilet.
Stayed with a caravan but grass desperately needing cutting and should be kept short. Had food in pub wasn't too bad, food was bland though.
Overall was a nice stay. But could of just been that bit better.

Great location for this site.
Easy to get into town and for walking routes.
Had Sunday lunch while there and would recommend.
Site has elect hook-up and reasonable toilets and showers.
Very good value for amount charged.

Friendly, welcoming, excellent amenities, very clean.
The owners were immediately on hand and welcoming. We were shown to the field and directed where to pitch.
Toilets and showers excellent.
The locals were also very friendly.
We would definitely camp here again.
