Just returned from this lovely quiet site initially booked for 3 nights but stayed an extra night, lovely well kept site with fencing between units with your own water and ehu which is a nice touch, £10 deposit needed for key to the shower, there is only one but we found it to be clean. Great fenced in play area if you have kids and you can keep an eye on them where ever you are. Had a Sunday roast which was excellent, Nigel and Carol are great hosts and made us feel very welcome as did all the staff there. Will definitely be returning to this little gem of a site in the future.

Stayed here for 4 nights and were very happy.
The children (3 & 6 years) were easily seen on the play area from our pitch which was very good size with privacy fence, electric and water. Waste disposal very short walk (but far enough away) from the pitches.
Bins located at every other pitch which got full after 2 nights but there was a larger bin by the pub entrance.
We had Sunday lunch in the pub with the tastiest lamb dinner and gravy ever!
Were not too impressed with the shower facility. Only 1 shower and the floor was very dirty considering we used it later in the day when most others on the site had used it much earlier. There had been plenty of time to clean it during the time in between. The room was very cold too and with 2 young children this was a bit of a problem.
Overall, lovely site for children to run around with a Morrisons within 5 mins walking distance and we were not disturbed nor did we notice any road noise.

This campsite is very convenient for Leominster. Also various national trust properties are nearby.
The site is simple and basic but everything needed is in place. The pub on site serves good food and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
We were very fortunate to be entertained by a really excellent singer/guitarist on the Saturday night. He says he sings at weddings etc and we really recommend him, his name is Daniel Seth--check him out!
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at the Barons Cross

Just come back from a weekend stay at this site and this was our first real camping trip. The site was very nice and clean, and although the facilities are basic, it was just what we needed for a short stay.
The staff were all very friendly and the food in the pub was lovely. The only downside was the noise from the road, as it is on a main busy road, and there is some sort of lorry garage near by.
The site is situated not far from morrisons which is handy and just outside of Leominster town.
We visited the cider museum in Hereford and this is well worth a visit

I stayed here for a long weekend with some friends and loved it. The pitches were very large and pretty level and I liked having the fence between to mark the boundary.
I've read the comment about the traffic noise and I have to say that, apart from hearing them moving wagons around in the neighbouring yard in the morning, I didn't actually notice the noise, it certainly didn't keep me awake.
There is a £5 deposit for the keys to get to the toilets and the shower.
There's a track a few yards down the road where you can let the dogs off (there was a rally on the rally field this weekend so we couldn't use that).
Leominster is about 20/25 minutes walk and there was a market on the Friday. There's also a very nice walk round the town through what looks like a conservation area so dogs can go off the lead.
The landlord and his staff in the pub were lovely, the locals friendly. We had breakfast in the pub on two mornings, which was huge and set us up for the day. On Saturday night we had a meal which was very good value.
We will definitely go back again.

We have spent many a weekend here with family and friends, It is a great site, Our favourite. Really nice flat pitches that are spacious and separated by a fence for privacy, each pitch has its own EHU and its own water tap which is great
Nice surroundings and spacious field that we have spent many afternoons and evenings having a game of rounders or football with the kids. Very child friendly site and dogs also welcome. There is a shower in the pub that you can use (deposit required for key) very clean and well maintained and toilets are situated in the pub. Again very clean and always stocked with toilet paper and soap etc.
The pub is a very friendly pub which has a park in the beer garden for the kids along with 2 goats, kids love it here and it is a secured play area and can be seen from the caravan pitch.
There is a large Morrisons situated next door however the Pub food is good value for money and lovely food, try the Sunday roast its great, all home made :) There is entertainment on some weekends and the owner of the pub and family are very friendly and helpful and make you feel very welcome.
This site is clean and well maintained, grass is always well mown and price is very good for only £14 per night. I would highly recommend this site to anyone, its an hidden treasure and will be returning many times again. Excellent friendly site :) My favourite.

The site was fine, but a major gripe:
When we arrived, there were 3 pitches with 'reserved' signs, but no names. As we had reserved, we assumed one was for us. Even though it was past 11am, the pub was locked and nobody around. It is wrong to assume, as we soon discovered; the owner/landlord soon turned up and told us the pitches were reserved for 3 families and we had to move. We had the caravan legs down by the so very annoying. He could easily have chalked up the names on the blackboards.
We didn't try the pub, bought our food from Morrison's which is almost next door. We picked the site partly for this reason as we usually eat in the caravan. I think the site price of £14 per night is a little inflated, but as it has the pub and a good play area I suppose families would disagree.
We went to Croft Castle, a National Trust property not far away; it's worth it for the ancient trees alone, didn't go in the house which was guided tours in the morning, not our thing.
We would use the site again as it's in a convenient location, but landlord, please put names on your 'reserved' boards!

Spent 4 nights here (touring caravan with 2 adults and 3 children aged 4, 6 and 7)
The pitches were of a good size and separated by a low fence for added privacy. The grass was well mown and the pitches were pretty level. Each pitch has electricity and water adjacent however the chemical disposal point and bins are toward the side of the pub and a bit of a walk with a heavy load.
The pub was lovely with good beer and adequate food although there was a little bit of a wait for food even though they were quite at the time. Would recommend the garlic mushroom starter!
The play park to the rear of hte pub was handy with three children and we could clearly watch them from out pitch as the site is directly behind the beer garden.
All in all an adequate site however the noise from the busy road which runs both along the front and along the side of the site kept me and my mother in law (in adjacent caravan) awake at night. Even with caravan windows closed and with ear plugs in !
This aside we has a pleasant few days as the weather was glorious and the kids were well behaved!

My brother and I were looking for a safe site with facilities to entertain my two children. (George, age 8 & Eddie, age 4)
And also that sold real ale.
We stayed for one night as planned in a Zenobia 6 tent. The site itself is safe and secure with good level ground.
The kids made use of the play area and grassed then the adults sampled the ale!
I had read reviews regarding the quality of the homemade curries, but to be honest I was not that impressed. They were nice meals but nothing exceptional.
The kids meals were fine, (chicken nuggets / fish finger / pizza / etc) even though they had run out of pizza meals.
We had to wait over an hour for the 4 meals to arrive in a half full dining area,so we felt a little let down by the whole dining experience.
Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and at only £7.00 per night made for an overall nice experience. No showers or washing facilities here, but for a one night stay this was o.K.
Would we go back?. Yes 8/10

The Barons Cross Inn is a delightful site. It has all you really need with a caravan, the pitches are flat and level, a small fence separates you from your neighbour and they are very spacious.
There is a large Morrison’s about 400 mtr away and the quaint town of Leominster is one mile away. The site is very quiet and peaceful with an abundance of wild life.
If you require access to the toilets during the pub out of hours there is a small deposit for the key, but the landlord opens the toilet door about 7-30am and it gets closed about midnight.
Our two children loved this site as there is a very large field for them to play in, which is used as a rally field, and a fenced off play area for children with a trampoline. They loved the two goats Pepper and George who are very friendly and love you to feed them.
The grass is kept very short and the cuttings cleaned up, no grass in the caravan. The pitches have there own taps which we plugged our caravan direct to the water mains which is a bonus with the children.
The electric supply is on a 16amp trip which was more than enough for us. The pub is a quaint place and the food is excellent whilst there try the fish and the faggots they are delicious.
Because the children were kept amused we appreciated the site more for our time. The owner and his family are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble, there is even a news paper delivery service available.
We have booked to go back to this site again very soon and would recommend you book when the weather is nice our at bank holiday time as it gets booked up quite early.
