We booked this site purely for the dog-friendly aspect of it as it was to break a long car journey with 2 dogs. It was wonderful for us and the dogs. As we were in a tent we were at the bottom of the field so well away from the pub and road. There is a massive field to exercise the dogs and the pub is dog-friendly too. We also returned for another night as it was so nice and welcoming. We will definitely use this site again.

Had a good couple of days here. EHU at every pitch as was water and as mentioned pitches were a good size.
We eat in the pub and the food was excellent! Can recommend the home made curry! When you arrive you do feel that you are still in leominster itself as the road it is on is quite busy and there is a housing estate opposite but don't be put off as the camping field at the back is lovely and surrounded by fields. All in all a great place to pitch up for a few nights and explore lovely Hereford!

Just had great weekend here. Very good level field with a bit of extra space opposite for the kids to run around in. There are currently 8 pitches for vans and hopefully they won't expand as that felt about right for facilities.Water on every pitch which is a nice touch. Pub landlord and family are very friendly and the food was good value for money. There is a nice beer garden with climbing frames etc for the kids. We will certainly be returning

Fantastic , just arrived back from a great long weekend at barons cross inn. Well where do I start. Very friendly welcome and nice people, pitches are first rate, all pitches have water to them and a light. The large pitches are divided by low fencing which makes it nice and private. A lot of thought has gone into the site, there is a fenced garden with a small children's play area, the caravans, and any tents are about 50yds or so from the rear of the inn, so not noisy at all! Lots of grass and a dog walk. No stupid restrictive rules as some sites have, just common sense attitude and some respect for other campers. The food at the inn is very good with a nice menu. Although it is limited to the number of caravans /tents I would say it can only build on its popularity, and I would recommend you book early.

We used this site for an overnight stop and it covered our needs perfectly.
The pitches were large and flat and far enough away from the road to cause an issue. The toilets are clean and inside the pub which you have access to via a £5 refundable key.
The only downside I could say is the lack of washing-up facilities and if you was to stay longer the lack of a shower.
Will definitely use this site again.

This was our very first visit to a certified site.
The owners were extremely helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. We originally booked for two nights, but liked it that much we stayed for three.
Leominister is a short drive away, which is worth a walk around.
Barons Cross is ideally situated if you wish to venture further afield.
A five minute walk from the site is a large supermarket which has everything you need if you have forgotten something, like we did!
The landlord will supply you with a key to the toilets for use during the night if you do not have your own facilities.
The site is well laid out with plenty of space between the pitches. Electric hook up & a water tap is provided for every pitch.
When we were there, several tents were at the top of the site, but I am not sure if they had EHU.
There is a large field for exercise, if you have a dog. The owners have two themselves.
A large enclosed playground is situated close to the pitches with a trampoline etc.
You can eat in the pub which serves good home cooked food at reasonable prices, and also has a reasonable wine list, together with decent cask ales.
There is also a CDP.
The owners are caravanners themselves, so they know what people like.
We will certainly be back!

Just returned from a lovely few days at this delightful site. The owners are very friendly and nothing too much trouble. The toilets are inside the pub but a key is available for you. Being caravanners themselves they know what people expect and this is obvious in the way the pitches are laid out with electric and water to each pitch plus a very useful post light. The play area for the children is safe and secure with lots of equipment to keep them busy.
The food from the pub is excellent and reasonably priced and the cook went out of her way to accommodate my Gluten free requirements. We spent a lovely day in nearby Hay on Wye and the busy market town of Hereford is a delight with its beautiful Cathedral. Although the early morning traffic is a little noisy, after the first morning you don't notice it. We would definitely return there, Oh and nearly forgot the ale is a bit special!

This is a really good find, the new owners are very friendly and the pub very welcoming. Had a good meal, basic pub food, but well cooked and presented. Pitch facilities good, ehu and water on all sites, chemical disposal and a large field to work dog. Some traffic noise in the morning but no problem, and very quiet over night. Would recommend and will us this site again. Many thanks to Nigel, Carol & Bruno (the dog)

A new site. A friendly family have taken over the pub and are trying hard to make a go of it. The site is still basic, no showers etc. But a key is available with a deposit, for the pub loos. Has hook-ups. Supermarket a couple of minutes walk away and Leominster town centre is about 20 minutes steady walk.
Only negative point is the nearby A44, a very busy road which does get heavy traffic quite early in the morning.

We stayed here after being recommended by a friend. I have to say that the people are fantastic, nothing is a problem for them. We loved the onsite pub, lovely home cooked meals.
The site is big and plenty room for dog exercise.
The campsite is within walking distance to most things, you have a big supermarket just down the road and Leominster is a lovely little town.
We never had any problems with hearing traffic in the mornings, we can recommend this place highly. We are from Cornwall and this place is worth the travel.
What more can I say wonderful!
