Booking the site by 'phone was a breeze and what a lovely helpful lady the owner, is. On arrival she left the office to greet us as we arrived and gave us the brief on the site and the area - including where we could walk Thistle, our Border Collie.
The layout of the site - in two staggered rows, is such that all vans get a direct view of the river. Toilets and showers were nice and clean. The motorway is about half a mile away but the noise is not obtrusive. One minor drawback is the lack of recycling facilities.
The frontage to the river is a boat 'dock' and during our stay there were flocks of Canadian Geese and lots of swans, ducks and moorhens.
There is a good pub a few minutes walk away which does good meals with a Spar shop a little further along the road.
There are loads of great places to visit within easy reach of the site, the Cotswold villages are a must. Tewkesbury is a shortdrive away and has a Morrisons and a small Tesco, there is plenty of public parking available.
For us one of the attractions of the site is the proximity to the Avon. Our pitch was about 20 metres from the slipway where we could launch Sheena's Kayak.
In essence, we loved the site and the friendliness of the owners; we have already booked a return visit.

We stayed at Little Meadow en route to Cornwall and thought it was a fabulous site. It is situated next to the river and the many boats that went up and down entertained the children with much frantic waving!
Elaine made us feel very welcome and they have done a fabulous job of renovating the site following the Tewkesbury floods.
Plus Points:
• The village of Bredon is very picturesque with a fabulous church and thatched cottages. The nearest pub to the site was expensive and does not cater for children’s menus but did do children’s portions (at adult prices!) – Elaine’s suggestion of getting Fish and Chips in Tewkesbury was on hindsight, advice we should have taken!
• The toilet block is basic but is very clean
• Sat Nav takes you to the door and when the road narrows past the church, do not worry as the site is a further 100 yards on the left through a big white gate
• It is only 10 minutes from the M5 – very handy for stop overs
• The is a lovely walk for the dog about 5 minutes from the site – turn left our of the site and walk up the hill – then go through the gate into the fields
Negative points
• We really can not think of any!
We wish we had longer to stay in order to explore the area much more! We would fully recommend this site and hope to visit again one day.

Rang last minute on Friday lunchtime to visit that evening. Owners were very accommodating, pleasant and helpful. Quite a narrow little bit of lane to get to the site but when you do it is well worth it. Site is quite small but the pitches are large and fully serviced and due to the layout each one has a lovely view of the river with its moorings - literally a stones throw from your caravan door. It was lovely to sit outside with a drink and relax. The toilet facilities were clean, tidy and more than adequate for the size of the site. The owners were very friendly and chatty and made us feel very welcome. A five minute walk to the Fox and Hounds Inn - a really traditional pub which served great food. We only stayed two nights but will definitely visit again.

Booked this site due to my tourer being too big for Moorhampton Caravan Club Site, very easy booking procedure. The site is really easy to reach within a stones throw from the motorway, which can be heard at night but not overpowering and we soon dropped off
As we entered the site I actually drove past Elaine, having never been met before on a site. We were given the site keys and told to settle up once we were set up
We were given a pitch 9mtrs from the river edge. What a brilliant idea here is that once pitched up, you park your car by the hedge, again only a very short distance from your pitch, we eventually got our awning up for the first time by 8.30 pm and went and paid, Elaine the owner told me I shouldnt have bothered and paid the next day
The site was full, the toilet block is small with only one shower but amazingly when I went for a shower it was empty and was every time I used the toilet block, so it seems like it doesn't cause a problem,
We had lovely weather on Saturday and had a good day in Tewkesbury just 4 miles from camp. Saturday Night it rained constantly and we watched from our cosy new van the line of boats moored up along the hedge slowly rise with the river level, strange hobby
Woke up Sunday to Sun and we headed off again for the nearby Malvern Hills, later in the evening it warmed up and we had a nice evening by the waters edge playing that dreaded but addictive game swing ball.
We will certainly be returning to this very close site with lovely owners and just 22 pitches and a lot of people returning time and time again. I was asked more than once, how did you find this site, as if it was a secret and they wanted to keep it that way, this is certainly a site to visit.

Agree with all excellent comments of this site so will only add a few extra not mentioned recently. Apparently the site only takes advanced booking and is shared with a boating 'type' yard hence the locked barrier, there is some road noise from the M5 but negligible.
The two pubs in village are The Fox and Hounds and is the nearest, mainly a restaurant type pub with a quite pricey menu for a full family on a tight budget but never the less interesting and olde worlde like rest of village. The other pub Royal Oak more of a locals pub and wasn't doing food on my visit, both pubs do real ales.
There is an irregular bus service from Bredon to Tewkesbury for those not wishing to drive, last bus back just before seven. Not much else to do around except walk to village and feed the local ducks. Paid £17 per night for fully serviced pitch.

We have visited Little Meadow River Park several times over the year with our 8mtr motorhome and would definitely recommend it. The fully serviced gravel pitch enabled us to use our own motorhome shower, washing up etc (the best we have experienced) although my teenage son took advantage of the site shower with no timer or push button control - don't worry Paul and Elaine we got him out after 20 minutes! The site has a toilet block with 2/3 toilets and large shower cubicle in both ladies and gents (chatting to the very friendly and helpful owners we learnt their plans for further developing the site including the toilet block.) The elsan point is tucked away at the back well hidden from children.
There is no playground but with the visiting ducks, boats on the river to watch and room adjacent to pitches for playing small games the peaceful site offers plenty for young children with parents who want a family time away.
The village of Bredon is within 5 minutes walk and has a Spar and 2 pubs - we enjoyed many a real ale in the pub whilst waiting for our Thai takeaway ! The other pub also offers good traditional pub food although it is slightly more expensive - we would advise taking a torch if walking back in the dark as being a village there is no street lighting.
The town of Tewkesbury is a short drive or bus journey away with many small shops and a large Morrisons. Buses from Tewkesbury go to many local areas and the large town of Cheltenham.
The site is easily reached from the M5 motorway and my only reservation is it will become so popular we will have to consider a seasonal pitch to ensure our spot next year! Excellent value for money at £15.00 a night for unit with 2 adults and electric then the usual extras of additional adult £3.00 children £1.50 awning £2.00 and dogs £1.00.

Had a weekend break at Little Meadow and what a lovely site. You wont get a better location right on the banks of the Lower Avon. You can see the M5 in the distance but the road noise wasn't an issue at all. Showers and toilets are immaculate and good elsan disposal too. All pitches have water and waste which made life easier and who doesn't want that! Make sure you take an extension pipe if you want to plumb the waste in. No washing-up facilities though which would have been nice.
All pitches were gravel and well spaced out with grass in between. There was an very large motorhome on site while we were there and he fitted on with room to spare. The road leading to the site can be a bit tight due to cars being parked on both sides of the road but we managed to get through no problem.
Elaine was very informative and helpful with lots of ideas on where to walk the dog.
The Spar is 5 minutes walk and opens till 8pm and also does cashback. There are the two pubs in the village. Tried the Thai takeway at the one pub but wasn't very impressed I'm afraid. The menu at the other pub looked appetizing and the locals said it was very good. Make sure you take a torch as there are parts with no streetlights - like stepping back in time!
Would definitely go back to Little Meadow - a real little gem.

Great site on the banks of the river Avon. Access road is a little tight for family tourer. Toilet facilities clean if a little basic and limited to 1 shower in the gents but pitches have superpitch facilities.
Site near to village store and 2 pubs both offering food and premium prices. Owners are extremely friendly and helpful offering useful information re the local area. 4 miles from the centre of Tewkesbury but you need a car to get there. Freeview reception good

Great little site we stayed there for 3 nights on our way down south to Dorset.
The owners were very friendly and found some nice walks in the local area Breddon hill is very and good the Malverns are only a 20 minutes away by car.
There are a couple of pubs the closest one does good food although we never tried it.
The owners let you fish but charge an extra £3 pounds per day you can fish for free as long as you have a rod licence next door.
On the down side the shower is bit dated and there is only one however its kept clean.
There is no shop on site although there is a good little shop in the village which serves most of the needs and 2 pubs however one nearest the fox and hounds is often shut.
And they do add on extra's bit like carry on Camping ie Dog £2.50, Awning £2.50 Fishing £3.00 so it soon adds up but on the whole a very clean and pleasant site and we would sue it again.

Stayed for one night on the way home from south devon.
What a good little site this is.
Right on the rivers edge, great for sitting out and watching the boats go by.
All hard standing with every pitch facing the river.
Didn't get to meet the owners as they were away, but the guy that was left to look after the place was very friendly and gave good advice where to eat and drink locally.
Pub grub 5 minutes walk away, the food was really good but I would advise to book a table as they get very busy.
All in all a very pleasant experience that we will definitely be doing again.
