Again we stayed at Yondar (twice in March). The owners were great - really helpful, nothing seems to much trouble. Each year we have visited they have added little things to their site (making it better every time). On our second visit this year a POD had appeared - looks really good, handy for any biker/traveller who doesn't want to carry a tent & mattress with them (has a kettle, electric, heating and sleeps 4). Hopefully we will be visiting again next year (my husband has suggested that we hire their POD next time!). See my previous reviews for facilities/location information.

We visited last year (twice) and were very happy with the site. We visited twice again this March - the welcome, clean facilities and location are great for our needs. The Owners are very friendly and helpful, the two toilets and shower are kept spotless (with toilet paper supplied too). Adrian has now made a 'very nice' hard-standing pitch which looks great, I'm sure this will be especially helpful in wet weather. Fingers crossed our kids will get into Counties, if so we will definitely be booking again next year.

We had a great time recently when we stayed here. I wasn't expecting much at such a great price but the place was much better than I expected.
When we arrived, the owner had just popped out but another camper showed us to our area and the facilities. In a hurry to beat any rain we got the tent up and then found we couldn't reach the electric hook-up by two feet. With that, the owner had arrived and happily got us an extension lead and the kettle was on.
The facilities are one female and gents toilets (large portocabin style), there was plenty of toilet roll and the towel changed daily. The shower was lovely and warm too in a separate cabin. If I could ask for something extra, it would be a shelter above the outside sink which was clean.
The site has an 'honesty' shed with all the basics and the girls loved the games and books that you could help yourselves too.
Louth itself is under 1. 5miles away, Hubbards Hill is a must and we also went to Mablethorpe half an hour away.
The girls had a great time and I would recommend this site and the area to anyone. I can't wait to go again.

What a great site and certainly one of the best Certified Sites I've ever been on.
The owners couldn't have been more helpful. The grass area was completely waterlogged but they found me somewhere on the car park hard standing. The other sites in the area were also waterlogged and had no pitches so it was a relief to find this one.
Certified Sites with separate ladies and gents toilets are few and far between, but this also has a shower unit big enough to take the whole family at the same time and a washing up area with hot water. Everything is kept spotlessly clean.
Electric Hook Ups, Hot water and all the waste disposal facilities you need, go to make this a great place to stop for a few days. Giving you time to enjoy the beautiful and almost unspoilt area that is Louth and the Lincolnshire wolds.
Why pay full campsite fees when there are Certified Sites like this one around. Can't wait to get back there again this summer.

Sorry, not my cup of tea. We don't usually use Certificated Sites because of the lack of facilities, but as this one advertised EHU, toilets, shower, hard-standings, etc, we decided to give it a go. We wanted a hard-standing as the grass was pretty soggy. The hard-standing area is on the car park which is a bit rough but level. What we really didn't like was being 'hemmed in' by workers vans which descended on the site during the evening and parked right up next to us. There was then a mass exodus, sliding and banging of doors at 7. 30am the next day.
The two toilets (1 gents/1 ladies) and one shower are fully plumbed in and housed inside portacabins (reasonably clean). If the site was full to capacity of ten tents and five units then imagine the queues. The area for washing up (at least I think that's what it was) is a sink unit top attached to a wall with no shelter whatsoever from the weather. It was very dirty with soil and bird droppings.
I was also of the belief that Camping and Caravan Club Certificated Sites are for members only (as on the sign) but the unit next to us was not a member of any organisation at all.
No, we wouldn't visit again, sorry, but that's just my opinion.

Visited Easter 2012 and although weather was wet and unkind our motorhome was sited with great consideration and care. Smiler and Alison provide friendly assistance and the on site shop is a real bonus. With transport into Louth a short walk away at the garden centre it is ideal for motorhomes and in better weather the on site cycle hire would have been great. Smilers knowledge of the local area and its people make this an ideal site for visiting Lincolnshire. Shower and loos always spotlessly clean and with plenty of hot water. Cannot wait to go back.

We needed to be near Louth Leisure Centre as our kids had County swims on Saturday & Sunday - we were really lucky to find this delightful little site. We were so pleased with our stay that we did it again a fortnight later. We would like to compliment Adrian and Alison for their friendly welcome and for keeping the site well maintained. Water was always hot for the shower, toilets (of which there are 2) were clean. Louth town centre is 4 minutes drive, the leisure centre (with very good facilities - only built about 2. 5 years ago) is 3 minutes drive. Skegness took about 30 minutes by car, Mablethorpe is even closer. There is a garden centre almost next door to the site which we went to on Sunday (had a tasty, reasonably priced roast). If you want somewhere close to Louth town centre (or the Leisure Centre), somewhere quiet with a few facilities and a friendly welcome I definitely recommend you stay at Yondar. Finger-crossed that our children qualify for County next year as we will be definitely booking a pitch at Yondar - looking forward to it already. :0D
I've put 8/10 for facilities only because they were basic (1 shower, 2 toilets).

A really friendly site. Spent a weekend here mainly to try an awning for size. Both other caravanners and the site owner immediately offered assistance. Site is only a few hundred yards from Louth garden centre and an easy walk into Louth town itself, although there is no pavement for the first 1/2 mile or so, although the verge is quite wide. There are no convenient dog walks from the site, the nearest being by the local golf club, but requires an up hill walk along the bypass with no pavement and very fast traffic. The most amazing fact is this site is totally self sufficient for power both for the site and the owners house, with solar panels for heating and electric and a bio mass furnace. The owner even has a machine for compressing waste wood shavings, sawdust, cardboard, paper etc into nuggets suitable for open fires or even barbecues. At £12 per night would definitely use again

We stayed at this site the first weekend in July with a group of friends with our folding camper. What a lovely site and lovely site managers.
The site is small but v well looked after. It has what I can only describe as portaloo toilets but they are lovely inside and v well kept. The shower is also a portable type but it is HUGE and very nice! The owners were very friendly and helpful and couldn't really have been any nicer. The site is well drained and well maintained. It is close to a lovely garden centre with a Yeomans and close to Louth which is a lovely pretty little town. There are 10 amp hookups available. For £12 per night inc ehu it is fantastic value for money.
There is no children's play area or anything but there is a small shed on site that doubles up as a small shop selling ice pops and ice lollies and that also has games in to borrow and a fridge and a freezer available to use. There is also ample space to run around and play football without being too near tents. The children in our group did not get bored.
There is a lovely pub that does a carvery just a bit further down the road called the royal oak (the splash) and it was very nice.
The only critiscism I could say is that the shower is a push button but having said that there was a cable tie on the button to hold it so that it stays on. The kennels at one side didn't bother me at all. We heard them at some points but they were soon quiet again.
We will most definitely be returning.

This is a gem of a camp-site. It is a small C& CC site but we were a party of 8 units and there was still room for more. The owner is very friendly and came down to chat to us all and was more than accommodating. There is not a shower/toilet block as such but there is a male and a female toilet and 1 shower and even though there was a lot of us I didn't have to wait long for a shower. The site does offer EHU and it is only £12-00 a night with this option. The site owner allowed us to have a raised firepit. There isn't any play equipment for children.
The actual camp-site is close to Louth centre which hosts an array of lovely little shops and also a decent Morrissons, there is also a garden centre which has a Yeomans attached within walking distance of the camp-site. 16 miles away is the seaside resort of Cleethorpes which is easy to get to via one road from Louth.
The only downside is that there are dog kennels just up the road and at feeding times you can hear the dogs barking, but this wasn't a problem for me but it might be for others.
This is a lovely little site if your are passing through the area or you just want to get away from it all for a couple of days, I recommend it and my hubby and I will definitely visit again when we need a weekend of piece and quiet
