Let me start by saying this site is an absolute delight and one that I will certainly return to.
It is quite small measuring about 200mtrs x 200mtrs and bordered on all sides by hedges. The field is grassy and has just a slight slope in parts but nothing to cause any problem. Its small size does restrict somewhat children being able to kick a ball about without annoying other campers
Adrian (better known as Smiler) and Allison are very friendly and chatty and have worked hard to make this site such a pleasure to stay on. Little things like dustbins in each corner of the field and EHU's on 3 sides so you're not restricted if you want hook up.
There is a small garden shed romantically called The Shop which is open all the time and has a few very basic provisions, tea, coffee, milk, etc and payment is on an honesty basis. There is also a fridge and a freezer which has chocolate bars and ice creams and you can use the freezer for your ice packs without charge.
Another example of the thought given to their customers is in the shed there is a small selection of magazines and books and also a few children's games and DVD games along with brochures of local attractions.
Is there anything wrong with the site? Well for those that demand perfect silence at night I suppose the road is a bit close and traffic noise does go on until late evening though I didn't find it too intrusive. Also there is a kennels a few hundred meters away and dogs can be heard barking but I've heard more noise from dogs ON a camp site.
Only having one toilet/washing facility for each sex could mean a bit of a wait if the site was full but that can happen on any site at busy times. I should mention in passing that the toilets are kept spotless, the water is hot and the shower is free.
Somebody in an earlier review called this site Yondarful and I couldn't put it any better. I'm really looking forward to my next visit.

Fantastic customer service, very chatty and helpful. We were given all the information we needed about getting around town without even asking. The camping area is a great size and lovely and flat ground, perfect for tents. The site is well within walking distance from town and the owners even offer bikes for hire if you want to ride in. The facilities were lovely and clean with a great shower! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a simple no fuss campsite with great friendly staff and cheap rates

Love it! Adrian was great, nice and friendly. Helped me when my battery went flat. Top chap! nice and clean campsite. May be a bit small for some, but great for us. Flat site surrounded by hedges so not too much wind. (when I stayed anyway)Could be a bit close to a main road for some people.
Showers and toilets fine.
Cakes on sale made by a local lady (kids loved em)
Top site, will definitely go again.

Had a great week, warm & friendly welcome.
Facilities basic but adequate, overall no complaints.
More needed for the kids perhaps a enclosed play area.
Bit further from Louth than we would have liked, walking distance would have been better.
Louth itself is a great town, plenty of local amenities, inc Lee's chinese (highly recommended) and Milano's for Pizza.
Fantastic church worth a look around.
Local people were helpful & friendly.
We will be back next summer looking forward to a greater atmosphere as we were in the field alone ! (It was September) !

A lovely little campsite with well maintained toilets and shower. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, We had to go home to work for a few day and they let us keep our tent up for when we got back. It is situated about 30 minute walk to the town centre, and walking distance to the garden centre, local shop and pubs.
This campsite also has a well stocked little self service shop which includes local handmade scones cakes and pies.
The town centre has a market a few days aweek. And lots of good bars for a good night out.
Will definitely be returning to this campsite later in the year.

We have just returned form a 2 Two night stay at Yondar Campsite we received a very warm welcome and nothing was to much trouble.
The Site is kept very clean and tidy and is well situated for touring around the area. The shower was hot and very spacious. Toilets looked porta loos but they weren't, they were fully plumbed in, flushing toilets with hot and cold running water inside and very very clean.
Yes the site is situated between two dog kennels and some noise was heard at the dog feeding times and some noise from traffic travelling along the main road but this didn't worry us one little bit. The Site also offered a very small camp shop just offering the essentials such as bread, milk, bacon, eggs, tea coffee and some home made cakes. Relies on honest campers as it is self service. We enjoyed our stay so much we have just booked in again for next weekend
Well worth a visit

Yondar site is clean and tidy, the toilets and showers were always in perfect condition, and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. The site is close to Louth - just over a mile, and about 14 from Mablethorpe so days out are close by. We also went to 'the splash' pub, which was very busy but the food was excellent. The let down for us at this site was that it was between 2 kennels and close to a main road. The traffic was busy and at 8am (feeding time) the noise and smell of the dogs was quite bad. However, it was a nice site, clean and tidy and close to places, but a bit too noisy for us to enjoy as much as we have other sites

After looking for a site in Louth for many years we have finally found one! And what a site it is too!
The site has two toilets and one shower but given the size of the site that is more than enough. The ground is flat and grassy with pitches around the outside and plenty of space in the middle for the children to play or for you to sit at one of the picnic tables. There are EHU's but we didn't use one on this trip.
The owners are so friendly and greeted and treated us like family!
Louth is a fantastic old market town that has loads of shops; both chain and independent stores and of course a regular market selling everything from clothes to cakes and plants to car parts!
If you have small children you may need to drive into town but it's probably 1.5 miles and most of it is on footpaths or the grass verge, the road can be quite busy.
Hubbard Hills makes a great day out and is a place I spent many a summer running around as a child with my grandparents and it hasn't changed a bit. It is a large open green space with logs to clamber on and stepping stones across the river where you can paddle. Take a picnic and a towel and money to buy ice creams!
Cadwell and the coast are just a short drive away too and there are many walks to be taken in the surrounding countryside.
We'll be back later on in the year!

What can I say the owners were so friendly and helpful, I had booked two tents for 3nights and a tourer for 2 nights and nothing was too much trouble, was told were the tourer was to be sited and not to worry which way the tourer faced as there was plenty of room and we could pitch tents anywhere near but to leave ourselves plenty of space between each other so as not to be cramped.
It had a real family atmosphere about the site. Toilet and shower was excellent, striking distance from the coast or if you prefer the lovely little town of Louth or the city of Lincoln. Will be coming back with more friends in tents and tourers. Would highly recommend.

Only one word to describe this place. YONDARFUL!
Fantastic friendly owners, clean modern toiles, amazing free hot showers. Hot water washup sink. Flat ground. Major problem, solved in minutes by these wonderful people.
Some noise from traffic at busy times (but nothing major), some noise from nearby kennels at feeding times (1/2 hour 2x daily), quiet overnight apart from shrieking crow -please shoot before next time we come (only joking).
Great cycling country (quiet lanes but keep off those main roads).Great pubs - the SPLASH (Royal Oak) 1.5 miles away at little cawthorpe - great menu/beer.
