An absolutely beautiful CL, all on grass which is well mown with no clippings. Electric, water and wastewater on each pitch.
Each pitch has a picnic bench and parasol, one pitch has a tree swing and another a hammock swing. The site looks like a small park it's all so well kept.
The information hut is wonderful, sofa, TV, freezer full of homemade meals, cakes, chocolate, bread, etc. Washing machine and dryer £2 each a load. Jams, drinks, small gifts - it's an experience worth having. Everything paid for in the honesty jar.
The site is 30 minutes from Muckleborough Collection, 10 mins to Holt and 15-20 to the coast. So much to do wish we had stayed longer.
Pitch includes 2 people, dog, awning, free wi-fi, loo, water etc. Showers are the only extra 20p a minute in an honesty tin. Two cabins with a loo and shower in each, both 5 star. At £18 real value for money.
Hosts were lovely, there for you as much or as little as you want.
We loved our stay here and hope to come back again

Love this site - peaceful, relaxing, accommodating and well placed in North Norfolk!
The site is so clean and pretty too - great to visit Holkham Hall, Wells, Brancaster on the coast or go inland to Fakenham and Norwich

Barleywood is a superb CL site near Fakenham.
Facilities are top notch, with two beautifully clean toilets /showers for caravanners’ use.
Dave and Lorna are very welcoming and helpful and there is a selection of fresh eggs/milk etc available also.
We have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed.
The site is ideal for visiting the surrounding north Norfolk attractions.

Absolutely lovely site. We stayed in the Pod, which is new for this year. Lovely interior. When we stayed it was really cold and wet. We had snow! the day we left. The Pod has underfloor heating, which was really snug.
Lorna & Dave have thought of everything you need. Including a hamper full of goodies on arrival.
Our son and daughter-in-law stayed in the Shepherds Hut for the second time, which has a hot-tub and much more.
We’ll be back with our caravan as soon as possible. It has 2 lovely shower/toilet rooms for the tourers. It is a CL for the caravan club too
It is only 6 miles from the coastal town of wells-next-to-the -sea, and other lovely places.
Thanks for a lovely weekend.

Just returned home from a delightful stay at Barleywood CL. On arrival we received a very friendly welcome from David who explained everything we needed to know.
The access to the site is great and pitches are level and spacious. Not regimental like many sites, park up anyway you like within your pitching area. Electric and water points provided with waste water going into the woods or grass area around your pitch.
David and Lorna have thought of everything, within a lovely little summerhouse, there is a washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, toaster, kettle all for your own use.
There are two fridge freezers full of supplies from homemade meals, ready meals, milk, cake, lots of chocolate, soft drinks and much much more.
There are a few little homemade gifts for sale along with photographs by a local photographer. To pay for anything you fancy and take, there is an honesty jar where you just place your money.
The hut also contains lots of information leaflets and menus from the local pub/restaurants. There is also comfy sofa to sit in while you browse.
It doesn’t end there either, there are two spotlessly clean, heated shower and toilet facilities. Again everything has been well thought out and provided.
We were lucky with the weather and the Autumn colour was superb on the trees around Barleywood. Plenty of wildlife around, the owls were a hoot!
Before we left today Lorna was kind enough to show me around their new Pod which is available to rent. It is so lovely and again, spotless. The Shepherds Hut, also available to rent our, was still occupied but looked fabulous.
Location is great for the North Norfolk Coast and surrounding areas, We would also recommend a visit to the village pub/restaurant, The Ostrich, absolutely superb food and very friendly.
We have booked again for next year but would love to stay for longer. However because this superb site is so popular it is booked up well in advance!
Thank you David and Lorna for sharing your fabulous CL with us
