First impressions were really good, lovely frontage and reception area, but it went downhill from there.
Firstly, we had booked two adjacent pitches, but the site had apparently only booked us one pitch (even though they had taken a 50% deposit which would have been full payment for one pitch).
They claimed there were no other free adjacent pitches until the following day due to this mistake, and put our friends in the rally field with no hookup for the first night. Even though there were 2 free pitches opposite us until the following day that could have been used. Worth saying they did reduce the rate so the rally field night was free.
From then talking to the lady on the pitch next to me that was vacating the next day, it transpired that she had booked 3 nights starting Tue, but delayed it by a day due to the weather. The site had not considered the knock-on effect of doing this.
Next issue was electricity. The team claimed it was because some people must have been using inappropriate equipment, but no attempt was made to isolate the problem. However, reading some of the reviews here it seems this is a longstanding issue and just has not been resolved. Worth noting that a lot of the seasonal pitches had electric heaters and ovens etc that could be seen in awnings. The supply tripped out regularly every 10 mins or so all night for the first two nights in the evenings. This particularly was an issue when I ran out of gas due to the lack of electricity so had to go and buy some more off site - the gates are electric so I managed to get trapped inside the site twice and outside it once!
Toilet and shower facilities were pretty clean, but to have 3 toilets and 3 showers per sex for a 70 pitch site with a rally field is not even close to enough.
Finally would be COVID precautions - there weren't any. There was a screen in reception to protect the staff and a bottle of hand sanitiser, but that was it. There was no sanitiser in toilets, water points, entrance and exit keypads and the pitches were very close together. There was a sign outside the toilet block saying 'no more than 4 people', but you can't actually see into the toilets without going in, at which point you are met with a queue of people waiting for the shower (theoretically meaning you can't even use the loo until someone has finished a shower.
I don't want to be hugely negative, as this could be a lovely site - the location is great, half a mile from a little Waitrose and 5 mins from Chipping Norton; but they need to plan better and make the facilities more reliable and sufficient.

We absolutely loved our time at this campsite. Really well located for exploring the Cotswolds.
Immaculately kept and spotlessly clean. I’ve read a couple of the previous reviews regarding COVID restrictions, I guess it depends how far you want to go with it. We were comfortable with the measures that were in place.
All in all a very friendly team and a very nice site. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely amazing stay, first time here and we wish we could have stayed longer, definitely coming again hopefully soon.
Lovely warm welcome by the owner and staff, fantastic facilities, We were very impressed with how clean and kept every thing was, we especially loved that we could buy organic farm shop milk and meats for our bbq on site, what a lovely touch and saved hubby a journey to the shops.
Stunning part of the country the cotswolds, lots to do and see and this is a real gem within the area.

Absolutely love this place! very tranquil and peaceful Just want we wanted it’s extremely well organised And very friendly.
Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner in reception
We purchased the lovely breakfast pack from the local butchers and bbq pack with all lovely fresh ingredients along with local milk and eggs,
We are very good at towing so the owner kindly set us up on the pitch which was much appreciated,
The pitch was lovely we had no problems with the electricity the caravans are very well spaced apart so I’m unsure about the comment regarding social distancing as we kept ourselves to ourselves
The toilet block clearly states only 3 people in at one time and there is sanitizer in both the reception area and shower facilities, which were lovely and clean
The site is located 400 yards from a small Waitrose and garage which has everything available to purchase and chipping norton is within walking distance.
There’s a fabulous pub restaurant which is within walking distance and is Michelin starred as well as other takeaways. there is an ice cream van that arrived on site at the weekend as well as a burger van,
The site is immaculate
Thankyou very much for all your help and I will be returning end of August!

We’ve spend a weekend here with family, both on pitches with electric hookups, one Motorhome, one tent. The Consumer unit for the electric hookup was faulty and ended up tripping out electric a number of times.
The site lacked general social distancing and sanitizers, which we’ve seen to be rigorously exercised on other campsites this summer. On our last day there was no water so most of us didn’t get a shower, the unlucky one was stuck in the dirty shower full of creepy crawlers waiting for a drop of water to wash off the shampoo.
Whilst the staff was in process of fixing the issue, one of them approached my parter when he was washing his hands. Reached over and turned off the tap and told him to use the plug and wash his hands in the basin due to the shortage of water. We were appalled by lack of consideration for social distancing.
We’ve booked on the phone, so we’ve never received an email confirmation. At the arrival we weren’t told about the check out time either. This information isn’t available on the website either. We were only told at 11:35 am that checkout time was at 11 so we now need to pay £5 for the late checkout. Surely this I formation could be made available.
Overall, we were disappointed with this site, staff and facilities.

This site has obviously changed its name from Merryweather Farm recently, and a lot has been spent on refurbishment, with immaculate gravel drives and hardstandings, stone walls and flowerbeds.
There are very spacious well maintained grass areas. We stayed here with our daughter and family in their tent, for which a very large field is provided without electrics.
This was the only site I could find available to accommodate all of us in this area, but I noticed that there was no mention on their website of any Covid-19 precautions. I had to ask about this when booking by phone, and was given a brief answer, and my doubts were confirmed when we arrived. Nothing was mentioned on reception apart from the usual hand sanitiser on the desk.
There were measures in operation at the block, a maximum of four in plus a one in one out practice, plus tapes on the ground for 2 metre queuing, but overall we got the impression that health and safety were not a high priority.
In this I agree with the previous reviewer, and also with her other point about departure regulations. We were not given any information about the site on arrival, and only found out about this very harsh rule of charging per hour for late departure when informed by a patrolling member of staff as we were in the process of packing up.

We planned to stay here to explore somewhere new. We booked 2 adjacent pitches as we are a family bubble and were assured at the time of booking we would be next to each other. Unfortunately the site doesn’t give any confirmation of bookings and this led to upon arrival us being not only separated but surrounded by seasonal pitches which were occupied and no social distancing was in place.
There was also no quiet down time and the people on the seasonal pitches enjoyed themselves into the early morning which is also not great when you want to sleep.
There were no measures in place Regarding covid apart from a sign requiring 4 at a time in the toilets and a taped up sink given there are only 3 toilets in the block the sign was quite pointless There is no hand sanitiser at all and whilst there we never witnessed the toilets being clean The bin area was over flowing although the site wasn’t full so unsure if this is a regular problem.
There is absolutely nothing on the site for children to do and would definitely be more suited to a adult only site. The rally field also contains part of the caravan storage facility So there are lots of caravans parked up.
The electric supply is not sufficient and constantly trips It is definitely not 10/16 amp like said at our booking enquiry Apparently it is only 6amp on part of the site again something that was not mentioned at the time of booking and you only find out once you get there.
There is also a continuously unpleasant smell which although can’t be helped by the site it doesn’t make for a comfortable stay Sadly the park is all about the money and offers very little for what is not a cheap site. We stayed for 3 nights and lost over a week the only reason we stayed the 3 nights was due to trying to find another site.
The only positive I can really think of is the pitches are nice and flat

We stayed at this site as a stop over as we were going onto another site
The facilities were good but needed a clean
There was no social distancing what’s so ever
The electric kept tripping out when we arrived
After being let in we were met by a warden who looked like he had been drinking, he was rude and obnoxious
The water tap where we filled up our water barrel seemed to take ages to fill
To be honest I’m glad we only stayed 2 nights
We will not be returning or recommending this site
