Great level site, plenty of room. Fabulous toilets and showers (don't stand indeed first flush, hit button second time for water to warm up). Lovely people running it, very knowledgeable about the area. Animals and birds to view and an archaeologist chicken to avoid running over. To far to walk to Hook Norton Brewery, but you can't have everything.

Stayed over BH weekend on the rally field with Essex DA on their temporary holiday site. Freshly mowed short grass and level with a few fire extinguishers and bins for dog poop bags. Toilet and showers were immaculate and deep cleaned daily. Fridge/Freezer available in the washing up/laundry room. Children loved the rabbits, chickens and ponies. On site shop had very little food as it caters for mobile home and caravan spares, but Chipping Norton 'Chippy' is only a short drive and would recommend parking in the free long stay behind Coop. Visit to Hook Norton brewery is also a must.

Just home after a fabulous, relaxing holiday with the family. We had an 8 person tent that fitted well on the pitch with car parked next to the tent. The owners and wardens are very friendly and helpful. The site is very clean with great facilities from the toilets, showers and washing up area. The children had great fun feeding the hens and seeing the animals. The site was quiet but started to get busy as we left but still lots of safe space for children to have fun. Beautiful surrounding area with lots to do and see. We visited legoland that took us just over 1hour15mins to get to. Nice child friendly pubs around severing nice food. Supermarkets close by. Would highly recommend if you need to switch off and relax. Can't wait to go back one day.

Fantastic site. Friendly, clean, quiet, stunning views. Loved the menagerie of small animals and the tiny ponies too.
Great base for Cotswolds or Stratford on Avon.
They repair and service caravans which is a bonus.
I agree about it being somewhere you wouldn't stay for a long period of time.
Shame the shop didn't stock more but it wasn't too much of a bind for us with shops in nearby Chippy.
Will be back.

We visited Merryweather over the half term week which was extremely wet! The site was virtually full when we arrived including a full rally field, we were a little worried there would be music late into the night from the huge gazebo set up in the rally area but they were very considerate. There are only two washing up sinks so we werehed up in the camper when it was busy, the rest of the week was very quiet due to the horrendous weather. The staff were brilliant and really friendly, toilets/showers very clean. Only 6amp electric which we found out when we tripped the circuit but owners explained that as caravan repairers they had seen so many fires caused by overloaded circuits they were trying to re-educate campers to only use necessary electrics. As we are fairly new to camping they gave us some great advice. The main driveway through the campsite got really muddy(although the pitches themselves drained well) and we had to get the owners to tow the camper through as was worried the car would get stuck but they have the chippings ready to extend the road to sort this out (May have already done this as they were all ready to sort out on a quieter and drier week) would definitely recommend, despite the rain we had a lovely week

Very disappointed. Woken at 7. 30am on the first morning by a digger and dumpster right outside our caravan. The owner was building a road through the field. Appreciate this needs to be done but surely in the winter when no one is on site. Or at least warn people when they book. Also, warden was cutting the grass everyday so had to put up with that noise too. Ruined our holiday.
Site itself was pleasant enough otherwise. Toilet blocks spotless with plenty of free hot water. Nothing to do direct from site but plenty of nice places within driving distance.
Beware - a fellow caravanner was told off for not having their dog on a lead but the owners dog is roaming the site freely.
Lovely site if you don't mind the noise. I won't be going back.

Management response: We were carrying out work because of the wet weather and it was unplanned. This work was carried out after 9 and finished before 4 and is now complete. |

This is an excellent site, with very good and clean facilities. The toilet block in particular, is both spacious, well fitted out and spotlessly clean.
This site would be excellent for families as there are animals galore - ponies, hens, guinea pigs, etc.
Chipping Norton is just a short bike ride away, with all the necessary facilities, shops, tourist information etc. You are also spoilt for choice with the number of quiet lanes and pretty villages to explore by bike as we did.
We have just spent a wet and windy few days and have been extremely well looked after by the very friendly and helpful owners.

We have returned back from one night, lovely place, very clean facilities.
We were made very welcome by the staff, the shop is perfect for ALL essentials and the location has perfect access to all the wonders Cotswolds offers.
The staff were very friendly in the shop, they wanted nothing to oblige.
Lot's of doggies with responsible owners, however there were a few who were not, sort that one out please, especially with children around. We have a dog, our lovely Robbie and we are responsible, he loved it.
A lovely site
That really is it, if in doubt do it, like us, it was worth it.

On our way home to North Wales from caravanning in Cornwall we decided to stop off for another couple of days somewhere. We wanted somewhere not too far off the motorway, so phoned ahead to a camping and caravanning Rally site but they didn't have electrics but suggested the farm that they were located on, I googled Merry Weather Farm, Chipping Norton, the reviews were good so we phoned. We couldn't believe our luck when we got there, that on such a spur of the moment call that we could end up on such a fantastic site. Beautifully set out, lovely flat field. The owners were lovely and were having a family gathering in a marquee when we arrived, they had a band playing and invited us to join in when we were settled. We were told to just pick what pitch we wanted, which were very spacious.
The toilets were possibly the cleanest nicest toilets I have been in, in 14 years of camping, the showers were brilliant, shower shelving that held plenty toiletries while washing, curtain to keep the water of your clothes and towels and plenty of hooks, stools to take in if you need to sit down. Shower curtains do tend to cling but were very clean even though I saw new ones up the next day and the previous ones in the washing machine. They have plans to have soft music piped in, in the future. The water taps in the middle of the field were even lovely surrounded by lovely Cotswold stone walls with lantern lights on them. I didn't see a kids play area but have ponies, chickens, ducks, rabbits, birds, a ferret, and an owl called Willow which definitely entertain the children. I was shown the family bathroom, it was stunning, the tiling was done like it was their own bathroom. There was the room with wash sinks, washing machines, tumble drier and fridge freezer for campers without electrics, yet again immaculate. Their reception/shop had various grocery items and camping equipment. Also the owner runs a caravan repair business on site.
I would definitely tell anyone to stay at this site if they want to tour the Cotswolds, Chipping Norton is a lovely place to visit with lots of places to eat. And late on the Sunday evening when we realized we didn't have enough milk there was a garage just round the corner which was very handy. Just hope that the next time we want to stay at Merry Weather Farm they have a pitch for us!

Third visit here - thank you once again for an excellent stay.
Very clean shower and toilet block with lots of lovely hot water for the shower - great with the cooler weather!
Great to have the electric hook up in one of the fields - very useful for running the cool box and laptop.
Lovely free range duck and hen eggs for sale from the shop which also stocks a good few basics - handy if you forget something.
Will definitely come back to this site and can only recommend it very highly - good access to many of the main tourist areas of the Cotswolds.
