We have just enjoyed our third year of holding our annual gathering here with Hippy Motors.
The site just gets better every time we visit, the staff are friendly and welcoming without exception.
The toilet block and showers are kept incredibly clean & tidy.
We are always given plenty of space not only for our 20 or so vehicles, but also for the large tents used in the evenings.
Being on the top of a hill with exposed farmland around, there is usually a fairly stiff breeze on site, but when the suns out and you can find shelter from the breeze it is perfect.
A well drained site, makes putting up awnings and tents etc easy.
The small collection of animals always seems a favourite with the younger children and is a nice touch.
Excellent site, great people, real value for money, I look forward to our stay next year.

We have just stayed at this site. The owners were very friendly and did everything to make our stay with them enjoyable.
The pitches are well spaced out, it is a flat site so easy parking. The toilet and washing facilities are very clean and modern. Clint runs a repair shop on site. There is a small animal area with chickens rabbits and birds, fun for children. I would go again when staying in the Cotswold area. Chipping Norton is about 3 miles away and has many restaurants/pubs and supermarkets.

What a great site, large with new toilet and shower blocks and theyre open all night too.
No matter where you park the sun will be on you as there are no large trees etc close by and its on good ground (open). They are just putting the finishing touches to a family bath room with bath sinks and showers, so small families can all get ready at the same time ! brilliant idea. Also there is a utility room with washing machines etc in. You get a token for 3 quid and crack on with the wash if needed.
They have a caravan work shop on site so you can have repairs and servicing done whilst you go for a drive touring.
Theres is a shop on site too with motorhome and caravan parts on sale, steps pipes covers etc. Also they stock small items milk tinned food toiletries and ices for the kids.
As others have stated its family run and very helpful and friendly they are couldn't meet nicer people.
The site also caters for caravan and motor home storage at a good annual price and if your van is in storage and you want a weekend there give them a ring and they will pitch it ready for you so you just drive on in to your van /home awaiting for you. More pitches being marked out and hook ups going in, pitches by the way are marked out at 6 meter intervals so you can have you van or home with awning and your car all in place giving you privacy.
They will service repair and I had my home jet washed which spruced it up a bit.
Pets welcome and plenty area for the all important dog walk.
Woodstock and blenheim palace 15 minutes away chipping norton 5 minutes away.
Fuel station 300 meters. Oxford 35 mins.
I have been 3 times this year and always makes a welcome break as its nice and quiet with fantastic views.
I am going again nov 3rd as there is a fire works display and entertainment in the markee.

We spent a weekend here in August 2012, and managed to pick the only sunny weekend of the month which always helps!
The field for 'members' was busier (and cheaper!) and our pitch in the second (bigger) field had lots of space, although because we needed electric hook up for our camper van we were very limited and had to park right next to someone else. Given how empty the field was it would have been nice to spread out a little.
We arrived armed with a selection of walks to do on Saturday, but due to the weather only managed the short walk (mile or so) into Chipping Norton to purchase the newspapers and sample the local farmers market, before heading back and spending the afternoon reading, listening to cricket on the radio, and sipping red wine in the sunshine - perfect!
The toilet and shower block were beautiful - clean, tidy (other than grass cuttings on the floor) and obviously fairly new. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful.
Saturday evening brought the resident 'house band' in a marquee. Glastonbury it is not! The musicians were ok, but the singer? I think the chickens were more harmonious, but it added to the general fun of the weekend.
Perfect site for a weekend in the sunshine within an hours drive after work on Friday evening and when you get the weather who cares where you are! I would revisit and maybe get to do one of those walks next time.

This is a Family owned site and is still in the process of construction. When we were there we had to use cables stretched across the ground for the electricity but hopefully soon it will be proper hook ups. We went over the Jubilee weekend and the weather was awful but the field dries out very quickly and does not get boggy.
The toilets and shower block is new and very clean there are no hand dryers at present but soon to be put in. Always plenty of hot water and good place to doing the washing up. There is a washing machine yet to be connected.
The site is situated close to many beauty spots in the area Stow on The Wold, Bourton on The Water, Moreton in the Marsh
There is a shop on site that sells a small amount of essentials and has many accessories for your camper/caravan. They have a small pets corner rabbits and a large chicken run and duck pond all fenced off. They also sell fresh eggs in the shop. There was a band while we were there and on Saturday evenings a fish and chip shop.
The site is a 16amp hook up. No hard standings at present but will have in the future.
We would certainly go again as it was a good site and we would recommend it.

Ok Ive just spent the best part of a week at this wonderful site. Its a Family owned site and has taken 4years to get it where it is today. As I pulled into the site I was directed to my pitch by the owner which is in an 8 acre field the pitch was flat only needed to level nose to tail, the site at the moment only has grass pitches(Hard standings to come )
We couldn't have picked a worse week if we wanted to weather wise but thankfully the site is high up and drains very quickly.
Merryweather is situated close to many beauty spots in the area Stow on The Wold, Bourton on The Water and a dayout at Blenheim Palace. We visited the the Palace on Friday and unbeknown to us the campsite took a blast from the winds, our awning went flat and thanks to the owners we lost nothing only our pride.
For those that have asked the toilets are now finished washroom all running and washing machines and tumble dryer waiting to be wired in, the toilets are immaculate of course being new and just lack one thing the hand dryers that will be fitted any time soon.
There is shop on site that sell a small amount of essentials and well stocked accessories shop and of course if your caravan is in need of a service this can be done in the on site workshop by CCH Caravans and Motorhomes its sister business.
Must not forget there is also a small pets corner on site a resident band to entertain on certain evenings, a fish and chip van that visits on Saturday evening and not forgetting the site has a 16 amp hook up.
I will most certainly be back to visit this wonderful site.

Visited this site as part of a caravan rally.
Plenty of space per pitch so ample space for awning and cars.
Toilet block was very clean and newly refurbished.
Not all the pitches had hook up but we have been told the whole field will be done next year.
There is also a caravan shop on site should you need it.
Excellent for going to visit Chipping Norton and other places.
Excellent camp site and would highly recommend to others.

We did a rally here for 4 nights, there were a mixture of vans tents. The weather was superb, which always makes things better.
The toilets are still not quite finished, but usable, which was fine for us.
On the Saturday not only did we have the fish and chip van, but also entertainment from the resident band, who were really good.
All in all had a fantastic rally and will be back very soon.
As a family we stayed on for the Oxon DA rally, a lovely week again for weather all in all had a lovely two weeks.

We stayed here for one night.
The site is a nice site and the owners are really friendly.
There is a bit of road noise in the tent field and the new shower block was not open when we were there. The new shower block was due to open mid August 2011.
When these are open the site will be really nice. 1 mile to Chipping Norton which is pleasant.
There is a chip van that comes on site on Saturday evenings for about an hour I can recommend the fish and chips and prices are reasonable
I would stay at this site again

Just returned from half term at merry weather. A lovely week. We pretty much had the field to ourselves, which is a shame for the site, as it is a brilliant site.
Facilities will be up and running in a few weeks. Which you can use if you hire them before they are finished. They are lovely facilities and well worth the wait.
A pony and her foal were delivered whilst we were there, they are beautiful. A fantastic site and will be returning in about 7 weeks, can't wait. Thank you all very much.
