We recently visited the park - being new to camping we want to head some where local.

After viewing the camp site we are very impressed and really looking forward to staying there.

The wardens are extremely helpful and have gave us lots of useful information and handy hints.

There is a lot to do around clumber - We took our tent and pitched up for the day (Unfortunately there was no pitches for us to stay over night but we are going back!) The children's park in clumber is amazing and my little ones thoroughly enjoyed it.

Sorry that this isnt an 'official' review as we never stayed there over night but I was so impressed I wanted to leave a comment

A lovely place to visit and camp, lots of things to do with kids and for adults (Tea rooms, discovery centre, children's science, play parks, cafe's, national trust shops, mountain biking, cycle hire), fantastic piece of forest.

The camp site has hot showers, toilets, everything is kept clean and tidy, lots of bins, little shop.

Despite the rain it was good fun for a few days, and the campsite staff were brilliant, they couldn't do more for you, nothing was too much, friendly but not in your way.

The only negative, is that there was no centre piece for kids on the actual campsite itself, eg. a play park, or climbing frame.

Can't wait to get back when it's high season, dry and sunny, .

We stayed in a pod for 4 nights and as we've stayed in one before in the Lake District we knew what to expect.

So glad we chose Clumber Park to visit as it's a lovely place and in a good location in the Country.

The actual campsite is very nice (and quiet when we were there) and the wardens are very friendly and helpful. The portable cabin toilet and showers were clean and we found there was always plenty of hot water. The only downside was the washing up area but if they decide to open again next year I'm guessing they will build proper facilities.

Whilst there we hired bikes to cycle round the park, walked in Sherwood Forest and Chatsworth Park, and visited Hardwick Hall, Stainsby Mill and Cresswell Crags.

As it was a trial this year we're hoping they will make it into a fully fledged site as would like to go back next year.

Just got back from a one night stay here and had a lovely time. The site is a little bumpy for a camp field however it caused us no problems. The toilet and shower block was spotless. Even had fresh flowers in the toilets.

The washing up area was great and clean with to sinks with lovely hot water. The wardens where very helpful both lovely people. We liked the look of the wooden cabins and will be trying them in the future.

My only bad point would be the price. £20 for a none electric pitch is a little steep especially when you have to be packed up by 11am. Will use again though. Well worth a visit

 2 Adults & 2 Children

Site was a trial and we all hope that they carry on and make it a permanent arrangement. The site was a little bumpy but this wasn't a problem. It was family friendly with no noise between 10pm and 7am.

Toilet & shower facilities were excellent. A temporary fixture but they were always clean and being a picky camper, I was happy to use them! Pot washing facilities were adequate.

Ideal location for visiting the Robin Hood Festival or National Trust sites. There's a great children's play area within Clumber Park plus cafe, activity centre, bikes to hire, lovely grounds with lake and woodlands to explore.

The highlight of our visit was hearing the owls hoot all night long and the clear starlit sky.

Just arrived home after spending 2 nights at the site, 4 adults and 2 kids.

We had a really great weekend to say the weather wasn't fantastic. The site is in a great location and the field is very spacious although a little uneven (but this didn't bother us!). The site wardens were very helpful and always there to answer any questions.

The showers/toilets were in a portacabin but were excellent, showers had constant hot water and were always clean. The washing up section was adequate and good enough for what you need.

There is no shop but the site office sells milk, drinks and icecreams and there is a freezer to store your ice packs if needed.

This weekend the site was filled with children which put the noise level up slightly but again this didn't bother us as we have kids too! I feel it would be nice if there was a park or something for them as there's enough space but for now just take bats and balls etc to keep them entertained.

They have a no noise policy between 10pm and 7am which was great as we had kids.

It was £20 per night but I was happy enough to pay that, overall I was really pleased and will definitely be going back!

Would defo recommend a visit!

Tried this site for our first trip as it is only 15 mins from home. What a lovely site it is.

The field is basic with no hook ups and a pitch where you like set up, but this may change when it gets busier.

The wardens could not have been more helpful asking if we had been before offering advice and generally very welcoming. The toilets were impressively clean even after the morning rush and the washing up area was clean and tidy.

Accepted the price does seem high, but this includes full access to clumber throughout the duration of your stay which normally would have costed approx £6. 00 per visit.

All in all we will be returning many weekend next year

What a lovely setting, the park is wonderful.

The site had very clean toilets and showers fresh flowers from the 'walled garden' worth a visit. Lovely wardens always ready to assist.

The cafe in the stable block a nice stroll through the grounds serves bacon Rolls from 10. Am

What no one has mentioned is the £20 site fee includes entrance to Clumber Park which would normally be £5. 50 per car and if you vacate your pitch at the requested 11. Am you are still able to use the park the two visits would have cost £11 taken this into consideration I think the fee is very reasonable.

We shall be back.

Nice, friendly site. Basically a field set within the estate of Clumber Park, where tents can pitch freely. Another field is adjacent and can be used for ball games etc.

Porta-block with spotlessly clean toilets, sinks, and nice hot showers. Washing up area. Small site office which sells ice creams and cold drinks, and they have a small freezer which you can use for ice packs.

Wardens live on site in campervan, so readily available should you need them. Great location for bike riding, National Trust events, exploring Sherwood Forest etc.

Barbeques can be used if raised above ground. Small groups allowed, but no noise policy between 10pm-7am which was mostly adhered to by other campers.

£20 per pitch per night which is a bit pricey if you are a couple or small family. Fine for us as we usually end up paying that anyway with 3 kids.

No play area, but plenty of space for kids to run around and play and it was mentioned they may be some tree houses or something installed for next year which would be fab. Would re-visit.

We stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of July. We found the campsite a bit bumpy and rather overpriced.

However, the toilets and showers were good (lovely flowers in all the toilet cubicles) and the re-freezing of icepacks is a service that we appreciate. There was a small shop in the office selling long life milk and other items.

A tree swing or similar low key play equipment would make the site more interesting for children.

The park was a lovely place to explore and we enjoyed our stay. If it had been £15 a night rather than £20 then we'd have been happy!
