March 2005 Stayed at Bell Caravan Park over the Easter weekend. Agree with other reviewers - nice, relatively small site and friendly owner. Loos / showers perhaps a little dated but kept clean. Should imagine the site is quite pretty in the summer when all the trees have leaves. Noticed the road noise more on the Tuesday after the quiet of the bank holidays and being in a tent probably didn't help - with hindsight would have been better to have pitched a little further away from main entrance. Would stay at this site again if we were in that area.

Sept/August 2004 Having been the first to review this campsite, four years ago - I just wanted to tell you all that it's still as wonderful as ever! There's a new camp shop which supplies papers(ordered first) basic essentials, milk, eggs, bacon etc. As well as icecreams, chilled drinks, wine and beers Plus a selection of childrens items!(Penny chews etc)
There is a covered BBQ area with fire hearth and pool table - which can be booked free of charge on the day! When you've made new friends at this delightful site - you'll probably be invited to bring along some grub and join in the fun. On the otherhand, everyone still respects peace and quiet and on this very safe site you can be assured of exactly that! I've taken the dog, the kids (adventure climbing frame), even my father - it truely still is the best site ever! - just like the pool, which is never over crowded! I've heard of one complaint - No disabled facilities. Okay, so thats true - but the owner Alan has never advertised that it has - and to be honest, he would go out of his way to help you if he could anyway!

July 31- Aug 1 2004 Visited this site this w/end. Have to say the pitches weren't brilliant and if we had put up our awning instead of the canopy we would have struggled to fit it in. However the site was clean and although the shower, toilet area was small it was clean. Some of the ladies showers were temperamental, boiling hot with force or cold with a dribble. There was an outside pool with sunbeds around and this was kept very clean, also had seperate paddling pool for young ones. The owner seemed to shout at the kids the first day about the rules ie. "is that a glass bottle you have in the pool area?" It wasn't. "Are your parents with you?" We were! As us adults were walking past him with the dogs, he mentioned about keeping the dogs quiet for other campers!Still, I think he was making a point and although there were quite a few children and dogs on site there were no problems. Warmed to him a lot by the end of the w/end and he was v. helpful. There is a dog walk but you have to walk outside the camp, behind the garage next door. The garage now sells papers, milk, pop etc but Devizes is only 5 mins drive away. Yes, the campsite is quiet BUT it is situated next to the main road and I found it incredibly noisy day and night. The fees were reasonable. The children (age5 to 11yrs) loved this site and we would visit again but would ask for a pitch furthest away from the road.

3 & 4 th July 2004 A very good site! We visited the site to use it as a base for sightseeing in Wiltshire. It is central for most attractions. 30 mins to Bath, Longleat and Avebury Stone Circle. The campsite itself is comfortable. The facilities were good, toilets clean and showers incorporated privacy. Outdoor swimming pool and various sections to campsite also for privacy. Very quiet but the A342 runs alongside the campsite. Not much onsite to do but brilliant for a base and quiet evenings. Owner extremely friendly and helpful. Not a bad price either.

August 2003 I visited here on account of all the other good reviews and i wasn't disappointed. We wanted to get out of London for the weekend for some peace and quiet and that's just what we found. Small, informal (you could choose where to pitch your tent), plenty of space, lots of trees for shade. The only downpoint is that the petrol station next door doesnt sell anything other than petrol and fizzy pop, so you have to use the car/bus to get milk, newspapers etc.

1 September 2002 I spent four nights here and did NOT want to leave. Look at the below review and they are spot on.
If you want a busy, noisy, in your face regimented site then this is certainly not for you, if not then read on.
This site was fantastic, relaxed, quiet, safe for the kids (3 and 7), loads of space to ride the bikes, the list of good points is endless especially at £14 a night for two tents, three adults, two kids and electric.
There is plenty to do locally with the pretty town of Devizes 3 miles down the road, Marlborough is 20 minutes down the road, Longleat Wildlife Park and attractions is 45 minutes down the road, Caen Hill, Stonehenge, Avebury, oh I could go on go and see for yourself.
I will be back next year and probably many years after too.

Do I really want to let everyone know what an excellant site this is? Great Pool, quite small level site, hot and cold water, shower & washing block. NO DISCO or wild nightlife!! Perfect for chilling back with your loved one and a glass of wine (available at small shop on site) - Great for the kids, they're safe and having fun on the childrens play areas (indoor games room if it turns to rain)
Thanks Alan & family for our break last year! - We are on our way back this Thursday ...Ron and I can't wait! - were more eager than the kids!!!!!
