Just put our caravan on seasonal, it is so relaxing and peaceful we are over looking the fishing lake. There is plenty of dog walks for you to enjoy on site 16 acres. Owners are so helpful and friendly and would do anything to help. Just a short drive to Ashborne which is a lovely place to shop and have drink or two. Or a drive the other way to Derby city centre. Plenty to do around and about. Looking forward to our summer to see the sites, and to chill around the pound. Toilets clean and always has hot water, just waiting for the showers to be done, they are to be done in new year.

Have just stayed for 3 days at this lovely camp site. The area is gorgeous with fabulous views all around, excellent for walking and cycling.
Belper is nearby, a really interesting market town with plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants and places of interest, such as the river gardens.
Carsington water is lovely too and not far at all. The actual site itself is pretty, with a beautiful lake and plenty of ducks and birds. It is pleasant to sit on the benches by the lake and relax in the lovely gardens.
The owners are very welcoming indeed and even lent us 2 bikes! They were on hand to help us with ideas for walks and directions. All in all we had a peaceful and relaxing stay.
We would not hesitate to recommend this site, for both camping and caravanning, to anyone.
The only thing that would make it even better would be showers, although we managed fine for a short stay with the always available hot water.

Had a fantastic break at this beautiful little site, it is very handy for shopping in Belper or Ashbourne with some nice little pubs a short drive away too.
The owners and warden couldn't do enough to make us welcome. Very dog friendly (if your dogs are well behaved of course) also great if you're into fishing, although we aren't we did see some people catch quite a few.
The B&B on site looks very nice and we were given the option of ordering a cooked breakfast if we didn't feel like cooking ourselves which was a nice touch.
Not sure how good it is for children as ours was at a cub camp nearby for the weekend but we will definitely be back soon to see how it suits our 9 year old!
