If you want somewhere to 'get away from it all', this is the place.

Very peaceful, amazing outlook (no light pollution), plenty of room, rocks provided so you can build your own campfire, and on-site shop that has everything you could need (including firewood).

The grounds are not golf-course perfect, but was perfect for us.

The staff were absolutely brilliant, very friendly and helpful. I also had a flat battery and they happily recharged it for me.

Liked it so much my wife and I are going back next summer for 2 weeks.

We stayed at this site for 3 nights at the end of July 2011 just after the site had opened.

The new owners of the site have quickly tidied the site up and put in a temporary shower/toilet block, which is clean and adequate with very nice hot showers. There is also a small shop selling most camping things you will need and some basic food stuff like bread and milk, bacon and snacks, it is reasonably priced.

The owners a very friendly and approachable. And the whole place has a nice relaxed atmosphere.

There are several big camping fields all of which are very flat and nearly all have views of the sea, unless you camp near a hedge of course.

There is plenty of space, and some nice walks through the woods if you are feeling energetic.

The new owners plan many improvements and judging by the speed they tidied the site up these may not take too long.

There is also a trekking stable if you fancy it with horses of all sizes.

Linton and Lymouth are very close, and there are several good pubs in the area.

At the time of this review there was no play area for kids as such, but as I said there is lots of space, also Lee Bay beach is not far away.

Overall the site is very relaxed and spacious, and was very good value.

I have rated the facilities as they were at the time of this review, but expect them to improve very soon.

There is a lot of space on this site and a second field at the back.

The facilities are modern showers hot etc. The owner was very friendly and she said that she was going to put in further improvements which will be nice.

There is a little shop on site which sells some of the basics which is handy.

There is a nice walk from the campsite to the coast then on to Lynmouth I think it took us 45 mins some excellent views.

We got a taxi back as it was too dark to walk back through the forest. It was nice to have a campfire
