Nice site, very helpful and friendly owners, who happily ran an extension cord for us from the electric to a spot with an amazing view over the sea. Your immediate outlook is trees with the sea in the distance - gorgeous. The bathroom facilities are fine, basic but hot showers etc. Nice family site that I would recommend, with nice places to visit round and about. Also has children's playground set away from the site a bit in a field.

August 2005 This is a lovely friendly site. Yes, the lane is a bit bumpy, but otherwise its great if you are looking for peace and quiet, with some amazing views from the burrows. The wash blocks are really clean and there's lots of hot water. There's an excellent dog exercise area and dogs are free! The recreation field has a badminton/volley ball court, some swings and lots of space. You can walk from the site down to a pebbly beach at Bucks Mill. The local shop is a ten minute walk. What can I say? I'll be going there again!

July 2005 Not long got back home from my visit to this camp site. When you drive in you might think that you have come to the wrong place as you drive down the rough pot holed filled road to to gates but you could not be more wrong. The owners are very helpful and freindly even allowing me to use their workshop and tools to do repairs etc. Once in you will find the camp site has beautiful views of green pastures, woods and the sea in the distance. On a good day you can see right across to Wales.
If using a tent you might find the ground very hard here so bring some real good pegs as mine bent as a past time. The toilet block was very clean and I believe they have just added a new Shower block too. There is not an on site shop but there is a nearby village post office and general store as a guess 2 miles towards Clovelly. You can of course stock up by going to Bideford were there is a large Safeway supermarket with ample car parking. Bideford must be around 5 miles away in the other direction.
I believe there is a childrens play area here though I did not see it myself, one thing I can say this is the first campsite I have visited so far that allows children and the children don't run around annoying other campers, I really found it quite peaceful even though there were many children on site at the time. The site has a Laundry room I believe and public phone. I did not use any of these though because my stay was only a short one. Cost to pitch my tent here was only £8.50 per night. A reasonble price I thought.

August 2004 My family and I spent 8 nights at this site and found it to be really good. The site has washing & drying machines which you have to wait to use unless you are an early riser. There is a childrens play area which my children said was ok, The dog walking area is very good and kept well cut with longer grass for your four legged freinds too have a good sniff around. The on-site shower and washing block was always clean and tidy with hot water all of the time.a good thing about this site you have no car movments between 23.00& 07.00 You can order your daily paper from the site office plus a few other nik naks. Yes I would recomend this site to any one as you have plenty to do near by, The Milky way farm, the big sheep the fantastic village of Clovelly, the gnome reserve which my 4 teenage plus 1 teenage boy thought to be really good ?Westward Ho! is a 10 minute drive away which has a good beach for surfing and swimming. All in all North Devon is a fantastic area to visit.

August 2004 My partner and I stayed at this campsite in our tent for 1 night before setting off on a walk from Bucks Cross to Hartland (14 miles). The campsite is situated in a very good location to the south west coast path literally right on top of it, catering for caravans, mobile homes, tents etc. Also suitable for holidays. The owners are very friendly. Pitch price of £8.50 for 2 of us for 1 night. Facilities onsite are showers, toilets, drinking water, hot/cold water, washing lines, washong machines/dryers, telephone etc. A 25 min walk down the road from the campsite turning left takes you to the 'hoops hotel / restaurant' good but fairly expensive food!
