Great weekend getaway without the kids!
We were after some peace, tranquillity and rest after a busy period at work. And Five Acres didn’t disappoint!
Huge pitches set in the Kent countryside with distant sea estuary views.
The site could accommodate twice as many caravans and not feel full.
There is a new luxury toilet block with lots of space and copious amounts of hot water.
Local walks, pubs, shops and fish n chips hit the spot, along with cricket played at the end of the road (if you want to relax with an ice cold beer).
Plenty of wild life so I would recommend investing in a bird twitching book!
Owners keep the site neat and tidy with cut grass, clean bin store and regularly cleaned shower block.
Looking forward to returning for another rest!

First time back since it’s become Adult Only and what a difference from our last visit.
They have now added a fantastic shower block with large, private facilities and a washing up room.
Whole site looking very tidy for a fabulous quiet weekend. Grass cut nicely on well drained pitches.
Just the sound of the birds and the village cricket at the end of the lane.
Evening brings bats and an owl flying around and a panoramic sunset.
Definitely one of our favourite Kent sites.

Here again at this so beautiful site. You could be in France. The site has fantastic owners so friendly and helpful.
The site has apple orchards. A piece full tranquillity. Plenty of pitch space. Always kept to a high standard.
Showers and toilets great with all time hot water. We have stayed here many times and will continue to as we find everything to be a great relaxing piece full experience.
A true campsite find. Love it.

Another visit to this wonderful site for us. We used it to finish our season for the winter :-(
We love the peace and quiet, we love the space, views are stunning and we love picking apples direct from the tree and eating the red ones and cooking an apple pie with the cookers!
We had a nice stroll around to the pub and had a meal and probably a drink too many as we didn't have to drive! Picked some cheese up from the local CO-OP and chilled out in the evening in the lovely Orchard.
Owners are fantastic, very relaxed and don't mind what time you leave on day of departure.
You don't need to be a member of any club to come here as the fields are partitioned off for club members and non club members.
Look forward to our next visit to the site in 2017!

Came of Sheppey and started to look for a site, got UKCampsite.co.uk up on me phone, found this site, got the number and rang up. The owner couldn't have been more helpful, gave us directions and said he would phone ahead and let his site manager know we were coming.
Arrived to a handshake and a tour of the site facilities.
Plenty of room, hookup, short grass. Gently sloping field witch wasn't a problem.
Toilet was clean, didn't use shower.
Lovely and quiet, got up refreshed had brekkie and left.
Use again? Yes.

Fantastic little site, wonderfully friendly owner, nice little dog, smashing lounge room with microwave, fridge etc.
The shower is now fitted and was very clean. Pubs within walking distance, as is the chippy.
Apples from the orchard are free. Horses were a treat, fairly windy, but was lovely when the sun came out.
Definitely going back soon, best site we've been on for ages.
Highly recommended.
Top site.

Another visit to this wonderful site. As good as before but now with added shower. Well done owners!
The children spent 2 days exploring the site in safety, never out of site even in the orchards, and had a ball with the other friends that joined us the same weekend. Such a great space for all the kids to run around and have fun with minimal supervision.
We filled up bags full of ripe apples too at the owners request.

Just spent a lovely weekend at this campsite and what a great little place it is.
Arrived on Friday afternoon to be greeted by the owners and given a little tour around the site.
The site is split into small paddocks with two orchards either end. There is one paddock without ehu and then two with. As already mentioned there are no designated pitches and plenty of space but to utilise this space and to avoid bunching bring a long ehu lead with you as the electric is supplied via two bollards quite close together.
The ground is gently sloping, levelling blocks were required and the views of the surrounding Kent countryside & Medway estuary are great.
The owners have converted one of the barns into a day room with sofas, tv, fridge, microwave & a kettle, great for anyone camping light. Then there is a toilet/washroom and a waste disposal drain. At present there isn't a shower but conversations have suggested that this is something they are considering for the future.
Our three children loved the open space to play in, ride their bikes and we had a game of cricket as well, there is that much room. In the surrounding fields are sheep & horses which the kids loved to go and see in the evenings. In the one orchard is a covered fish pond which the owners gave our kids some food to feed the fish.
Within a short walk is the village of Upchurch which has a Co-op, newsagents, fish & chip shop and a pub.
Have already booked to go back to this site again next month and will use it on a regular basis as its a great little retreat for us.
