 May half term 2003
We were attracted to this campsite because it takes couples and families only. The site has a heated outdoor pool, a bar (with entertainment in high season), a reasonably priced take-away, a reasonably priced on-site shop, and yes, those tumble driers do go for ages on 20p! The camping area is on a grassy slope, and is in site of the excellent childrens play area (with large green area for ball games). A room is provided for washing dishes, separate from the laundry room, and the ladies toilet room has sockets (and a seat and mirror!) for hairdriers. There are excellent views of the surrounding countryside from various vantage points on site, though the local road runs past the tent area and can be a bit noisy at peak times (though we were usually out by then).

Widend Campsite,what can we say apart from a new lease of life. We booked on this campsite when friends were going to Paignton we decided to tag along (fortunatley we couldn't get on there site). The campsite is run by a friendly family, with all the amenities required for camping, shop, toilets, clean swimming pool, excelent play area and a tumble dryer that last for ages! so good our friends left there site and joined us! one fault and that is the open field for tents does have a slight slope, but we enjoyed it so much with three kids that we have bought a bigger tent after one outing and are returning three weeks later!
