This was our second visit to Tower Park, the first being shortly after the present owners took over in 2006.
As on the first occasion we very much enjoyed our stay. The pitch we were allocated was flat, large enough for our nine-man tent, and very sheltered. The site itself being well laid out and deceptively large.
The owners are always friendly and helpful, and they provide absolutely first class facilities. The showers and toilets are spacious and always clean, the water is always hot as well.
They have a well equipped laundry, TV room and games room for the children. There is even a small shop which is well stocked.
This is very definitely a family site, which is ideally situated for the major attractions in this part of Cornwall.
All in all this is a site that I would highly recommend, and one to which we will return many times.

This was our second time here and I have to say that this is a really super site. The owners work very hard to maintain the grounds which are lovely. The grass is cut daily. The toilets are always clean. They take real pride in this place.
A little shop/office sells a few basics. It is staffed by the owners who are friendly and helpful in a very laid back, unobtrusive way.
There is a great little park for the children in front of the shop(although I would not pitch around it as it would probably be a little noisy for me). Children from all over the campsite played together really well here.
There is a games room and tv room which are also very handy.
The location of the site is fab. It is so easy to get to many wonderful places (Porthcurno, Sennen etc). The little village of St Buryan is an easy walk away (even with a lazy 4 and 7 year old) and we were regulars at the pub in the village were we always warmly welcomed (even with overexcited kids).
The rules about quiet after 11 were impressively respected by all in our field which was great. It meant we turned in with the kids when it got dark and enjoyed blissful silence until morning, despite the site being busy.
Our children played in their pjs and wellies outside the tent in the lovely open field we camped in. There was loads of space and it was great to let them have some independence.
All in all, it reminded me of camping as a child in the 1970s - in a very good way! Really - as close to camping heaven as I could get!

As someone who lived for years in West Cornwall, it is a new treat to revisit and test out the campsites in an area I grew up in. This is a well placed site for touring round the area, and is in walking distance to a good pub in St Buryan, important for some! Visited site this year. Lovely grounds, well maintained. Very welcoming couple who run it. Nice little shop on site selling all sorts, including camping accessories.
Following a month travelling in France, it was lovely to find equally good facilities, all very clean, well maintained and organised. They do their best to provide a proper campsite for everyone. I met prople who come year after year, which speaks lots.

Had a pleasant one-night stay here at Tower Park. It was a pretty quiet site with only a handful of other tents and vans. We had the main field to ourselves opposite the static caravans. Not sure why that was, but it was fine by us as it was even more quiet and peaceful!
There's a barrier on the gate which is locked at 11, if I remember right, so if you're out with your vehicle after that you'll have to stay outside. Didn't matter to us as we were staying put once we arrived.
The local pub was recommended to us, but we didn't get a chance to visit. The toilet and shower block were all in good condition although the push button showers get a bit hard work after a while.
Would recommend this site though. Didn't really get to use the shop facilities or anything else, but always handy to have them around.

This is a friendly site, the owner even lent me her bus time table for the period of our visit. This campsite is a very short walk from St Buryan village which has its own pub, post office, convenience shop and taxi service. There is also a great bus service that we used for exploring the local area. We explored a lot of the local area by bus from the village.
We went to the Minack Theatre one night, we would recommend this as it's fantastic, and got a bus back to the campsite at 1045pm.
The campsite itself is fairly basic but friendly. The facilities are basic but clean and adequate.
I agree with previous writers that comment how annoying it is to have to keep pressing the button in the shower.

Great site and covering 10 acres with tidy facilities and helpful and polite staff. We did not have any children with us and the campers did seem to to be put in to the area that suited them best.We did not ask whether this was intentional but it did, on the whole, seem to be by design. There are facilities including pool & table tennis table, T.V. Room, play ground, laundry & ironing room. Good local shop and post office only 5 minutes from site. The site had many secluded areas and little areas tucked away with a lot of hedgerows between the different fields. Quite long grass rather than a lawn but this makes the surface more durable in wet weather. We loved our stay here and it was quite peaceful and a great location for discovering this beautiful part of Cornwall. We visited many beaches along the coastal path around the Porthcurno beach and further afield. 5 or so miles from Lands End and 10 minutes from Penzance with Morrisons & Tesco easy to find. Many great little shops to discover too, in the town. Overall a great area to visit from a nice tidy site, well run.You can also book to fly to the Scilly isles from the helliport in Penzance. 20 minutes flight for £96 return on a day trip ticket.Nice treat for a special occasion. Can not wait to return to this lovely part of the world.

Stayed at the site 7 days it was a nice camp pitched at number 3 ehu pitch which was huge situated in the kids playing field which suited us fine as two young kids who made lots of friends this field is also near the reception/shop/ shower/toilet block so really handy, St Buryan has a good shop and pub.
Oh and they have a family shower room & tv room & games room 50p a game, you can also get bacon/egg butties from reception and tea's & coffee's which was good as it rained a lot and I couldn't really cook outside.
The field we stayed in had two swings a wooden playhouse a climbing frame and play boat also two small trees which the kids liked climbing up also the field is large so kids played football and tennis etc very friendly field but if you don't have any kids there is a few quiet fields that are also large.
The camp is situated to a lot of places near lands end especially senna cove and porthcurno beach which were stunning and the water was clear blue and soft clean sand also lifeguards are present.
Overall good value site everything very clean and fields to suit everyone, very child friendly camp and as we camped in Aug it was quite full but it never felt overcrowded.

Lovely quiet site, situated a few miles away from Penzance. Ideal for children as they have a small play area, our children took their bikes and rode around the site which was fine. Toilet block large and quite clean. There were times when it needed a freshen but that can always happen. Very friendly owners who put up with our 5 children in and out of the shop with their spending money. Would recommend to anyone as the area is lovely. The local pub did steak specials which included a free bottle of wine, made to feel very welcome.

Tower Park is ideally situated in the middle of the Penwith Peninsula, being only a few miles from the sea in all directions. The site is fairly basic with meadow grass rather than lawn grass, is left reasonably long when cut and is lovely to walk on. It is also pretty good for driving on in the wet. (we had quite a lot of wet!) I think all the pitches are grass, and hedges provide at least some shelter on the site.
There is a small shop which even does cooked breakfasts in high season, TV room and a games room. The shower facilities are basic, bright and clean, and a huge bank of solar panels on the roof is part of the site’s green credentials. Recycling bins are conveniently placed so you’ve no excuse not to use them. There is a play area, and plenty of room to kick a ball about. The site feels very relaxed and friendly.
We paid £21.00 per night for a touring caravan with 3 adults (same price over all three sites visited this year. Three Adults) and I thought it was a bit steep, however, I got talking to another caravaner who uses the site regularly and it seems that the site is on the up with improvements every time he visits, so we’re looking at it as investing in our future – ‘cos we will be going back.
5 mins walk into the village is a Post Office, shop open 7am-7pm, pub with food – eat in or takeaway, Fish and chip van twice a week, garage. Supermarket in Penzance 5+ miles.
The local area has beaches, cliff walks, harbours, coves, and more history than you can wave a stick at. If you want to visit Lands End park at Sennen Cove and walk up the coastpath - sometimes you can look down on basking sharks. Also visit Geevor Mine (don’t miss the “dry”), and Levant Mine (NT).
It’s a fair old trip to the end of Cornwall, especially if you’re towing, but it is well worth a visit and Tower Park is ideally situated for exploring this delightful and rugged area.

We camped in the 'Church View' field with an EHU. The pitches were spacious and marked simply by not mowing a thin strip of grass between the pitches. The site is ideally situated as previously mentioned so I won't repeat what others have said.
We paid the deposit in advance and the balance on arrival which is rare nowadays. The site is run by two couples, one seemingly doing the reception / managing and the other the cleaning / grounds. Both were always present on site, polite friendly and efficient.
We did have to ask the groundsman to remove some fish heads / bones left by a previous camper and food by another which he did straight way.
We were booked in for two weeks but due to the weather we left after ten days. During that time due to the awful weather the entrances to the fields got very boggy. In one afternoon two cars and a caravan got stuck in our entrance alone. I did feel that action could have been taken sooner as considerable damage was being done to the field. Eventually they put straw down which helped a little, and trimmed the trees back to enable you to walk out.
There were six of us camping and we used the toilets and showers everyday. We never had a problem with the water temperature or pressure. The water temperature for the washing-up sinks however was often luke warm. Not very helpful when trying to clean the frying pan after a mornings fry-up! I also felt that four sinks was the absolute minimum and they could do with a few more.
The laundry had four handwashing sinks, two washing machines and one tumble dryer. Again, bordering on too few, and the more expensive one did not wash very well at all, so use the cheaper smaller one! Also a spin dryer would have been useful for those handwashing as the tumble dryer did not dry clothes unless they had been spun. 60p however, dries four large towels after the showers! Also in the laundry is a notice board and leaflets which are informative and useful.
The TV room was a nice touch. There was a large TV and several tables and chairs. The games room came into its own with the wet weather as it had a table tennis table, pool table and football game. You bought the bats and balls from reception for £3.50. The other two tables were 50p a game. Generally the kids managed this fairly and quite often made friends and had competitions. Both of these rooms were locked at 11pm. The playarea consisted of a couple of swings, small climbing frame and a little wooden house. Cute and ideal for under fives.
The site most definitely went quiet at 11pm. The lack of external lighting was good in keeping things natural and the solar panels for heating water is great as is the very real effort to recycle most things except plastic.
Overall a very pleasant site, very reasonably priced, well maintained, and ideally situated.
