What a fantastic site! We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Carnevas and we will definitely be returning again in the Summer. The site was perfect for us.just the right size and not too over commercialised.just a shop, clubhouse, toilet/washing facilities and a play area for the children. We have been looking for along time for a site like this and we are thrilled to have found it! The pub/clubhouse was great and had a games room attached to the side which the kids and teenagers really appeared to enjoy. The site appears to be exceptionally well run and all the facilities were immaculate! Food is served every evening in the clubhouse and I have to say it was excellent! Portions were very good and the quality was great and more importantly - consistent.you could guarantee a good meal, every night.top marks to the chef - who if I'm not mistake, is a woman - she does a fantastic job! The owners and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.they would go out of their way to help you, nothing was ever too much trouble. We were touring on our motorbike and needless to say we had problems with the bike whilst we were there, but they were only too happy to help us.huge thanks to them for that! Anyway, I could rave about this place for hours, so I shall stop now. Superb! 10/10! Can't wait to return.

We have been going to this camp site since 1998. The Brewer family who own the site make you very welcome and make you feel at home. Nothing's too much trouble day or night. The facilities are excellent- free showers and hairdryers, and a neat family bathroom.
There is a games room and a club with nightly entertainment. There's a beach in walking distance and many cliff top walks.W ell worth a visit, it drews us back every year. If you love cycling the Camel trail is just down road at Padstow.

June 2005 We have recently returned from a lovely holiday with carnevas. We were very impressed with all the brand new facilities that they have installed. Modern and spotlessly clean amenity blocks, dedicated hair wasing and drying room for us ladies, modern shower and toilet blocks with privicy cubicles and power shower. In fact we heard a fellow holidaymaker remark that "they've got the poshest loo's in the area." The owners are so friendly and knowledgeable and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Situated close to all seven beaches in the area and the south west coast path, its ideal for either walking or relaxing and there is the jolly roger pub and restaurant on site for evening unwinding, although we found the meals rather expensive (£13 for steak and chips). We will certainly be returning and have already reccomended it to all our other camping friends.

July 2004 We've been returning to this site every year for five years because it is so friendly and convenient, having a good laundrette, shop, bar and play areae. Even better, the family who run it are very friendly and helpful. Only word of warning is for people with tents it can be very windy so go with extra poles just in case!

June 2004 A nice site, very relaxed feel and very clean. Toilets, showers are basic but clean. Pub on site does lovely meals at cheap prices and the shop is very well stocked and cheap. One word of warning: if you intend to stay here with your caravan, be aware of the very narrow approach to the site. The lane narrows for about 1/2 mile and we were unfortunate enough to meet numerous cars and had to reverse (luckily we didn't meet the bus!). This has put us off staying here again which is a shame because it is definitely value for money.

September 2003 Just having returned from camping at Carnevas we would like to say that we enjoyed our stay and would return. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, despite it being the end of the season!
Their location is convienient for exploring the local area and there is the 'Jolly Roger' bar on site (we were never disapointed in our dinner choices - great quality and value for money), a shop for the essentials and a childrens' play area, all needs are catered for.

May 2002 Pleasant site. Clean and functional showers and washrooms. Staff and shop are welcoming and helpful. Safe & friendly atmosphere, families and surfing youth intermixed. Visiting on a busy weekend, our pitch ended up a long walk from the facilities but the bar was still loud at nights - worst of both worlds. One lovely beach in walking distance and a dozen an easy drive. It's definitely a crowded part of Cornwall, but deservedly so, with the coastline being so stunning.

July 2001 A very friendly welcome and a helpful attitude from the owners. The facilities were all in good working order: clean and functional. The sites with electric hook ups seemed to be relatively quiet and a convenient distance from the facilities. Children's play area was a little limited but it was safe.
Very well positioned for the beaches and Padstow. We enjoyed it very much and will return.

This site is in my opinion the best in the area.
It is clean, secure, very friendly, and all are welcome even an overworked biker like me. facilities here are top class, free showers, washing up facilities and games room for the kids to mention a few. And the seven or eight beaches close by are out of this world, no rubbish their either!!
The familly that own and run it are so friendly and made me feel very welcome. if you ever go to n.cornwall and dont try this one out you'd be mad
