Was very surprised when read other reviews! it was my very first camp! so I was amazed to find very clean toilets and shower block has obviously improved since last year! Handy man on site very helpful let us put ice packs in bag in freezer even looked 4 a pan 4 us as we 4got ours! yes people do come and go as near 2 channel but we not find it noisy over weekend. Would willingly go back. Nice little park for kids. Well recommend it

I'm afraid we didn't like this one at all. The toilets and shower blocks were not all that clean, although they did get round to thoroughly cleaning the ladies after Jan complained. The site was very noisy, full of screeching kids up to 10.30 at night. (Why do they have to scream so much, it really puts me on edge?)Also two Dutch caravans turned up one day, and left, very noisily, at about 3 in the morning disturbing everyone.

We wrote and complained and received the offer of a free weekend which we wont be taking up. We were not after a refund, just to have our genuine complaints acknowledged. It's a pity because the location is very good, and handy for a day trip to France.

A pleasant welcome by a lady who remembers speaking to me on the phone to take my 4 night booking a couple of days earlier. You approach the Touring/Camping part of the site via a static park which looked well kept with many new caravans parked on it. The pitches were laid out in a field with some in the middle and most round the edge. If you like plenty of sun avoid pitches 1 thru 10. I thought the pitches seemed small, but it was hard to tell as the site was only 30% full due to all the screaming children having gone back to school - hurrah!

The facilities were pleasant, although there was a damp mouldy smell present which a good dose of bleach would have shifted by getting rid of the black bits in the shower area - a small point but one which should be brought to the attention of the contract cleaners who alamingly decided to arrive at 8.30 am each day to clean and closed the shower block for an hour? Strange time of day to do that I thought.

The on site population changed each day, as it seems to be a site many people use to stop one night before or after boarding a ferry for the continent. An observation, there seemed to be many signs on site outlining that they do not allow commercial vehicles in. This was not the case and I saw many over the 4 days. Was a OK site near to the ferries but not cheap... try it, I did and had a pleasant time.

We found this camp site very quiet, clean and very safe for our two sons age 2 and 3. The toilet and shower block was clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There is a little shop. There is a nice little childrens play area. The touring caravan pitches are numbered and have electric hook up. The pitches are close, but not on top each other. We were able to drive around and select our own pitch. The camp site is located close to both Dover and Felixstowe. There is a lot of information in the shop about days out. We would come again.

Just come back from a weekend here. pretty campsite - small area for tents opposite children's playground. Wery well kept - statics with pretty gardens, lots of trees around.

Two loo blocks (small one with washing area for tourers and tents, plus larger one with showers for everyone - all well maintained). Very friendly and helpful management, who can supply local maps and info. For £3.50 you can extend your pitch til 6.30.

Easy walk to pub and clifftops, with a wonderful walk through "the warren" (woods) down to the "beach" (not very beachy, but good for sea view, if not swimming/sunning). Beware of the walk back up the cliffs tho - legs still aching!

Great pitch and putt short drive away, plus a big sainsburys just down the road. would definitely revisit, esp when boozecruising to Calais.

The site is 15 mins from channel crossings, so has quite a high turn over. (But it was August!) They have Static’s, Tourer’s and a smaller camping field, ‘Pitch where you like’ a bit uneven in places and large tents could struggle at peak times, maybe worth thinking about booking an electric hook-up pitch.

The ‘on site’ staff are very helpful and friendly, a small shop stocked essentials and they had a good laundry room. The main toilet/shower block is good and well kept but the second smaller toilet block could do with being updated. The small park and wooded area kept the children occupied.

There is a 10 minute walk to the cliff tops and a family friendly pub,a café bit further along with steep steps down the cliffs but to get to the beach you really need to drive. The site was an ideal base; we stayed for a week and would definitely come back again.

Stayed here for the August bank holiday lovely site hot showers handy little shop in reception nice friendly and helpful staff. Small play area for children, quite happy for our 4year old to play. Nice pub nearby selling reasonably priced food. Beach and amusements just down the road, beach is being renovated and should be pretty nice when completed. Would definaltely come here again.

just spent the bank holiday weekend here although the site was full it wasnt overcrowded plenty of room between piches. Nice clean site hot showers and clean washing up area although there was only a couple of sinks I didnt have to wait at all to wash up or even queue for the loo or the shower. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Little shop for your basic things. It did have a couple of swings and a climbing thingy for the kids my four year old was quite happy here and we felt safe enough to let her play because you could see her playing. Lighthouse resturant sells lovely food quite expensive but worth the money. There is also the valiant Sailor pub down the road that does wonderful food at great prices and have a childrens play area. We would definately come here again, nice and peaceful site.

A very good site. They allow dogs which made Scruffy happy! Very clean and tidy. If I have to complain then it was that the showers were very hot and had no control on them.
