Just back from a relaxing weekend at this site. Owners were very helpful and friendly, nothing too much trouble. Whole site and facilities very clean. Although busy on Saturday there was plenty of room and we picked a lovely spot on the bottom field.
Only noise heard was from the heavy down pour of rain all day and night Sunday! Nice weather for ducks!
Lovely peaceful and friendly site, will definitely be returning.

We stayed in a electric camping pitch at Riddings Wood. We were welcomed by Mark who was incredibly helpful by showing us different pitches that were available. We wanted to have a camp fire therefore we camped on the main (non electric) camping field but close to a hook up so we could still have electric. Mark even offered to lend us his electric hook up of ours wasn't long enough.
The camping field is on a slight slope so a word of warning when your picking the right pitch! The site also allows groups to camp on site, and there was a large group whilst we stayed there however the noise was monitored by the staff on the park and didn't bother us at all.
The toilet block was fantastic. The best I've seen! There were plenty of toilets available however there are only two showers; although it's a small site it might get very busy in high season. I really liked tha added touch of music playing on low when you went in the toilet block. The block is built like a wooden chalet and definitely has that log cabin feel when you go inside. Everything is brand new and they are constantly cleaning and therefore they are spotless. The showers were hot and powerful in the morning. They have hair driers however they are not particularly powerful so may want to take your own if you don't want to stand there for a long period of time. One thing that could be added is something to put your toiletries on whilst in the shower instead of on the floor.
The camp site has wifi however it was a be hit and miss with signal on the camping field and you have to log back in every 30 minutes to access the Internet. This is mainly so people don't leave their internet on and it goes slower for everyone else.
Overall it was a great stay, mark was friendly and incredibly helpful, the toilet and shower facilities were excellent and we would definitely stay again.

We stayed at Ridding's Wood mid-week in mid July and to say that the campsite had only been open one month we thought it was great. The site is in a beautiful setting with nice views. The shower/toilet blocks were really nice; very new and clean.
All in all one of the nicest campsites we've stayed at.

Arrived home on Sunday after a two night stay at this new caravan and camping site. Site and facilities are very good. The owner is really friendly and helpful. First class toilets and showers and the site itself is well maintained. The camping field at the top with electric hook up points is on a gentle slope and the field at the bottom of the site without hook ups is flat. My wife and I liked this site because it is so peaceful and relaxing and therefore will visit again in the near future (not Aug 15th though as just seen on their website there is to be Karaoke and a BBQ) We went on a lovely circular walk starting in Riddings wood while we were there and ended up at the Thack pub 5 minutes walk from the campsite.

Though it's not far from home, we wanted a nice quiet site to get away from the city centre and Riddings Wood certainly delivered. Not open very long but in a great little location, there are a couple of pubs nearby (one with a thatched roof) and the facilities on site are excellent. Nice new shower block with plenty of space including a pot wash and laundry area at the rear. The entrance has a barrier with coded entry.
There is a hard standing area towards the top of the site and then a large open field for non-electric tent pitches. We were in the open area and there were only a couple of other tents so we had plenty of room and found it quite peaceful. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be re-visiting.
Met the owner (and his parents) who we all very friendly and had a chat with them about the site, they would ask how we were getting on and were open to any improvements that we could suggest (of which there were virtually none :) ) A great job, well done!
It's a short walk to the Chinese if you don't fancy cooking for yourself. There's also a Co-Op local a short drive (or walk if you fancy it and the weather is ok).

Just returned home from a weekend at this new site. WOW! The owner has obviously thought about how to get a site right. And succeeded! Where to start. The showers/toilets. Amazing. Best we've seen in over 20 years of camping. At night I've never seen a site with so much outside lighting some parks you're lucky to get one light but here there is more than ample making a nice safe feel. The pitches are very spacious ample room for caravan, awning car and outdoor living without imposing on your neighbors. The site warden who appears to be there 24/7. And lives on site. Couldn't be more helpful. Don't think we've ever seen a warden help people put there tents up and settle them in. As for Mark the owner. Lovely helpful chap when we spoke on the phone, and on our first night he was seen to visit all campers on site to make sure that everything was ok. Hope this continues. Also lovely views central for lots of surrounding areas 10/10

We arrived at the the park and were greeted warmly by the on site staff. We were directed to our pitch and were asked if we needed any help which I was surprised as this had been the first time after camping for 12 years. The park was well maintained with fantastic toilets and showers like being home from home. The views from our window was just amazing. The shops and pubs are all within a very short walk will definitely be returning to this site in the near future. 10 out of 10 for this.

What a little gem I have found, stayed at this park last weekend and what a fantastic setting it, s in. Its a brand new park with first class toilets and showers. Bus stop at the entrance which we went into Nottingham. Fantastic pub only 4 minutes walk away. I would recommend this site to anyone.
Will definitely be returning in the near future.
