Everything about this site was excellent. Wonderful close views of Loch Sunart, great dog walks for miles up the mountain to the rear. Facilities were immaculate and kept super clean and warm. Good shop. They were trialling wifi so we had it free for a week. Papers can be ordered. Off the beaten track somewhat but maybe an oasis in the middle of nowhere.

Only visited this campsite for one night, whilst on way from Mull to Arisaig. Easy to find as is on main road from Strontian to Adnamurchan.
Campsite well organised and reception very helpful. Good shop which is very well-stocked. Toilet block very clean and showers were warm.
You can pitch anywhere you like- we made the mistake of pitching near the stream, so the midges ate us alive in the morning. I would recommend pitching nearer to reception or further up the bank as they were no where near as bad there.
Would visit again.

Me, my partner and our 3 year old visited this site after passing it on many occasions as we explored the Ardnamurchan Peninsula over the years.
The people that run it are extremely friendly and helpful, the shop is small but has everything you may need should you find you have forgotten anything.
The main section of the campsite has a lovely view of Loch Sunart, however, if you have a tent and don't need an electric supply, you will be directed to a part that has no view but is still spacious and in my opinion, more private than the caravan and camper section. You are also closer to the immaculate toilet and shower block. There are dishwashing and laundry facilities too.
The only thing missing is a play area for kids,if bringing children you will have to bring their entertainment with you. This is the only reason that my child friendly rating is so low.
Please be advised that much of the road on the Arnamurchan Peninsula is single track with passing places, this begins just before you reach Strontain as you drive from the Corran ferry toward the campsite. The road is well maintained obviously and just requires vigilant driving, I think its part of the beautiful and brilliant character of the Peninsula.
If you haven't been to this area, you are in for a treat, be sure to explore every nook and cranny. A great campsite to base yourself.

Originally from over here but not been for 23 years and first time back has made me want to come back even more. Site fantastic great views and toilets spotless wardens very helpful. No midges yet but too early in the year. Remember to take a torch for at night cause when it gets dark you cant see 2 feet in front of you. Travelled up to kilhoan, kilmory, sanna beach with white sands you would think you were in the med and not in Scotland.
One of the last unspoilt parts of the country and very, very good.

Let's get the downside out the way first. The midges are terrible here. We saw one couple arrive at dusk, try to pitch a tent and give up and drive away. However, there are many upsides to the site. Very friendly welcome . The facilities are good, above average and the shop on site is very useful. If you are in a tent the second field is best, but don't pitch too close to the stream - you will just be midge 'fodder'. Although the location by the loch is lovely it isn't really a beach / paddling area.
About an hour's drive away,at Sanna Bay is one of the finest beaches in the UK and I can't recommend it enough, but make sure you take your own provisions there are no facilities at all.
10mins drive away is the Salen Inn, which did a lovely dinner and the post office at Acharacle is perfect for teas and coffees.

A lovely site, with the most friendly people. Great views over Loch Sunart, beautiful first thing in the morning. A very well kept site and clean washing/shower facilities.
The only down side was the midges! This is the worst place I have ever been for the hungry little pests. They were relentless. We would return to this great site, but with the caravan and NOT in the tent.

Well-run site, with lots of friendly help on arrival.
Shop is well stocked with basics. Toilet facilities clean and well maintained.
The midges were a bit of a nuisance but less so for us, in a caravan, than for some unfortunate campers. We found a very nice place to eat in Strontian (up a little road on the left hand side as you enter the village - don't consider the first hotel on the right as you approach the village unless you want to pay £35 each for fish and chips). Otherwise, eating out can be a bit of a mission, so make sure you bring provisions with you.
The caravan pitches are brilliant, spacious and well-kept, with fantastic views over the loch.
We don't have young children now, but I can see this would be a great place to bring kids.

We found this site by chance having not been able to get a pitch in any of the sites around Mallaig and Arisaig. The welcome to this site was very friendly. The staff were very helpful.
The toilets and showers were very clean and there was plenty of hot water. There was a washing up area and a decent motorhome service point.
No late evening noise, very quiet. Would recommend this site for families as the loch is at the other side of the road.

We stayed here for 3 nights in early August.
The owners were really friendly and welcoming. At reception there is a well stocked shop, pay phone and laundry facilities.
The first area is predominantly for caravans as that is where all the hook ups are. Just beyond the toilet / shower blocks is the main tent area although there are a few pitches beside the stonewalled front of the site which look directly onto the loch.
Showers and toilets very clean and never overcrowded considering the size of the site. There are a few statics on the site also.
Great location for people who love messing about with boats on the water. Also excellent for walking in the oakwoods.

Fabulous site - we had an ancient leaflet which is how we knew about it. Great location, views, level pitches, not too busy, and helpful staff.
£17 per night for our smallish 4 man tent and 2 adults and 2 kids is about the best we have paid in recent years and this is certainly one of the best sites I have stayed at.
Free ice pack freezing (we have been paying 10 - 20p per pack in the past, in Cornish, Dorset and Pembroke sites) free, good showers and plenty of them. Only 2 washing up sinks but plenty of drainer space and it is inside a separate area. Also washing machines and driers.
And, very importantly for us, a decent, separate, locked disabled loo and shower, very well kept. Key only given out to poeple who are actually disabled (as opposed to those who simply prefer a private shower - as the lady in the shop told me she had been asked on occasion!) Fixed rail at side of loo between it and sink may be a problem for anyone needing to side transfer - but actually owners are aware of this and aiming to try and change it.
We were also really pleased that the disabled loo/shower was not also the family shower. This has been a real problem for us in the past on a number of sites, where my son is desperate for the loo but we can't get to it cos a family with 3 kids are all in there having showers.
Only downside to Resipole farm site was the horrendous midgies! Out early this year due to warm spring - we hoped we would just miss them, but unfortunately they did cut our stay short cos they were so bad (and I grew up in the Hebrides so know a thing or two about Scottish midgies!)
