We spent 2 nights here on a dry buy quite chilly bank holiday!
The site is lovely, all facilities are really clean and we too had the pleasure of feeding the ducklings! The site managers are really nice and helpful (thanks for the running route and for being so nice when we pitched our tent the wrong way!)
I have even managed to convert my sister to a camping fan, so all in all a thumbs up from us.
I do think the site could do with more showers - we had to queue even at 6:45am. 2 showers is not many for 50 pitches, but they were lovely and hot and also spotless.
If you have kids, Bewilderwood near Wroxham (about 20 minutes) was fabulous, catered for ages 2 to 8 for a whole afternoon. Pub wise, we went to the Blue Boar in Norwich, again great for kids but couldn't tell you how to get there as we got so lost.
The camp site shop stocks the essentials and they will order you a morning paper, which I thought was a nice touch.
It felt nice and spacious, we didn't feel hemmed in and 3 families managed to get pitched together which was fabulous. EHU available and very glad of mine as the temperature dropped at night and I plugged in the heater.
We would definitely go to this site again.

We stayed here over the weekend at the start of half term and travelled back on the Monday.
This is a really useful campsite if you want to visit Norwich, or like us visit UEA (to see our daughter). Although not close to the Uni on the map it is only a short simple drive away.
We have never camped this late in the year before and don't have EHU, but it wasn't a problem as we were very kindly given a more sheltered pitch.
The facilities were immaculate. The best washing up facilities I have ever used. The toilet / showers were very clean and very functional and practical. Every sink had a small shelf for your wash-bag, the hairdryer was situated by a mirror, shelf and chair. Small things, but they do make a difference.
The couple that run the site were very helpful and friendly which is just as well as I left my fleece and mobile phone there, and they managed to track me down and post it to me.
All in all we had a marvellous weekend and highly recommend this campsite.

Chose this site as we were visiting family in the city, & very pleased we did too. A lovely site, very 'rural' in a major city. Quiet, picturesque, clean & tidy, & well cared for by Malcolm & Ali. Spotless facilities, peaceful, natural, plenty of wildlife, & we'll definitely be back. Trains going by were more of an attraction for us than a nuisance, so don't let them put you off.

What a nice site! close to the city (£6 taxi fare) and very friendly hosts. I camped in the lower field with my 7 year old daughter who was thrilled to feed baby ducks right outside the tent - after 24 hours of solid rain the poor things were swimming in the field as was our tent! but we all survived and the trains were not as noisy as I had feared.
Not really suitable if you have adventurous young children who like to wander as there is a lot of water (ponds rivers etc) but nice if you like to watch wildlife and be close to the city.
Clean toilets and showers, a handy 'emergencies' type shop. With ice cream for those sunny days! a relaxed and enjoyable, if wet, stay. Close to a pub, and a fish & chip shop - and many pizza delivery options!
We would use this site again for visiting our friends in Norwich.

Excellent, will use again. We were visiting our family in Norwich. Very helpful, clean site and well run. Clean toilets and wash facilities, stewards very knowledgeable and very helpful. Ste was well protected by trees although slightly hilly ,with interesting river side, although trains are fairly frequent, you get used to them.

We spent 10 days at the Norwich C.& C.C. Site and quite enjoyed it. We usually stay at quieter C.S.s but though We'd enjoy the 'bright lights' of Norwich for a change!.
The site is quite pleasant and surprisingly rural, for somewhere only a mile or so from the city centre. The site comprises of three small adjoining 'fields'. The top field has all the pitches with E.H.U. And is closest to the 'facilities' block, consequently it was the most popular and some of the pitches showed signs of wear (it was near the 'end of season'). The middle field had no E.H.U.s, but was still popular. The bottom field, next to the River Yare, was absolutely beautiful for camping, with lush green grass and very flat. This field is reached by a short path and there seemed no access for motor vehicles, which is probably why there was only one small tent pitched there. For walking or cycling campers (or someone who doesn't mind carrying their gear a few yards) it was ideal. The toilet & washing up facilities were always clean (a few dirty footprints occasionally, but there was some heavy rain!). The showers are free and reasonably OK (looking a bit 'tired') but clean. All the other facilities (water, waste disposal, bins etc.) were kept clean and tidy too.
The 'Site management' was friendly, efficient and helpful, if a bit loud (that's not a criticism, but anyone who's been there will know what I mean!). The only real downside to the site is the Railway lines!. They run either side of the site, it can be a bit off putting at first, but you soon get used to it. Though it can be a bugger if you're having an early night, just 'dropping off' and the 23:00 to Liverpool Street goes rumbling by!.
Norwich itself is a lovely city, with lots of interesting places to visit. The Castle museum, Cathedral, Tombland & Elm Hill, the Marketplace and for 'shoppers' there are lots of interesting shops, as well as the usual 'High Street' names at Castle & Chapelfield malls. Outside of the city, the countryside is beautiful, you're not far from the 'Norfolk Broads' national park and the beautiful Norfolk coast.
All in all, the Norwich C.& C.C. Site is a good base from which to visit the city and surrounding area, if you don't mind putting up with the occasional train going past!

Lovely friendly site well run and clean. Good sized pitches with electrics and neat, tidy utilities all contained close by. Excellent riverside Pub complete with ducks and swans only a few hundred yards away. Nice to hear the trains clunking along the track nearby, reminds me of my childhood and certainly not intrusive in any way. Norwich town centre is only 30 mins walk away and all facilities available within walking distance. Wonderful!

July 2004 Easy to get to off the A47, this is a small, cosy site, and is clean and tidy.
Local shops are about ten minutes walk, and a pub just along the road.
A large Sainsburys is easy to get to about a mile and a half away on Queens Road, whilst Morrisons near the football ground is a similar distance, but battle with the inner ring road traffic.
The town centre is a good half hour’s walk, or battle the heavy traffic and difficult parking. Once there, though, this is an attractive and interesting town.
Some railway and aircraft noise, but not unacceptable. Perimeter dog walk. Watch out if sited under trees – you may be under limes and/or elderberry.

August 2002 Most welcoming, easy to find. Handy for touring. Toilet block and showers are kept spotlessly clean, as was site, maintained by resident wardens. We enjoyed our stay and would go back again despite being near to railway line, you learn to live with it. Fish and chip shop and newsagents within 5 minutes walk, smashing pub just 200 yards from site. Bus route nearby.
