Nice clean site, pity about the area before driving through the gates, rough. Did feel a bit cramped for space but ground was level. Nice pool though small, club was entertaining. Toilets and showers were cleaned daily. Had a nice time.

We are there at the moment and yes there is a big gas tank there but so what! The reason that we are here again is its just situated very well for this part of the world and we do explore every nook and cranny. The main reason we stay here is the staff - really nice helpful people. Clean showers, good shop and we find it so quiet, we will be here again

August 2005 Statics, tourers and tents on this site which as others have said is not the most picturesque I have visited. However it is very friendly. The spaces between pitches is limited but perhaps we could call it cosy ! We were pitched next to the larger playground which the kids loved and they also liked the swimming pool. The pool is not for adults as it is really a large paddling pool in a covered dome but it was warm and safe and the adults can sit and watch them.
The clubhouse is quite nice with a small play area at the side of it which our kids stayed on till it was too dark to play any longer. Very friendly atmosphere in there, a lounge where kids are welcome with different entertainment, there was a lady singer on the Saturday night and Karaoke on the Sunday with Bingo on other nights. There is also another area with a few arcade games / pool table etc. Oh they also serve food in there.
As others have said the toilet block near the clubhouse is not as good as the other near the shop. The shop opening hours were good and it was quite well stocked.
Morecambe itself is a bit of a disappointment which is a shame, I worked there over 20 years ago and although I know they are trying to regenerate it, it really is rundown.
All in all we had a good weekend and I would like to thank the site manager / owner who very kindly allowed us to delay our departure until late afternoon to enjoy the nice weather without charge.

August 2005 We've just returned from a mid week stay in school holidays and really enjoyed this site. Toilets were of a high standard - what faults we saw were actually dirty campers not cleaning up after themselves. Our girls (ages 4 & 8)loved the fact we were pitched right by the park although we found that a tad noisy. Swimming pool was more of an oversized paddling pool which did get crowded although again our girls loved it. Shop was very reasonable. Good clubhouse. agree that morecombe is a bit run down but lancaster/grange over sands/bilsborrow and arnside are worth a visit. Will definitely go back.

May 2005 The Site was not really what we expected. Overloked by large gas works which spoiled the view, and was a very noisy site. Surrounded by housing estate, and the teenagers from the local area seemed to hang around the site at night drinking. Our pitch was by reception which made this worse. Toilets very clean and well kept. Shop well stocked with good opening hours. Swimming pool is very small not suitable for adults. Main problem was trying to get the children to sleep with all the noise incl motorbikes racing nearby etc. Morecambe itself is quite rundown, The city of Lancaster 10 mins away is a much better option for shopping and heritage etc

September 2004 Very large site with lots of facilities: the toilet blocks were of adequate size, but a number of cubicles had faults (no lights, no running water) and were not particularly clean. Not too noisy despite being very busy - and it would be good for families, with a big clubhouse on site. It was difficult to track people down to get booked in (we did arrive at 7pm). The site is very flat and exposed - our tent was quite battered - but it is very handy for the town centre.

September 2003 A very clean and well run caravan park within 10 minutes walk of the town. Level pitches all with hook up's, most with hard standing pitches. Very friendly atmosphere, well worth a visit.

July 2003 Positives: Nicely laid out, the caravan section well landscaped, quite mature. Main toilet facilities well thought out with a family bathroom - ideal for kids and all free. 2 small adventure playgrounds (1 for tots, 1 for teens) and a small swimming pool this is open 2 hours mornings, 2 hours afternoons. Very friendly staff. Clean site, not too expensive. Negatives: Site overlooked by huge gas works which is a bit of a blot on the landscape. Tent field a little open and prone to winds. Nearby housing estate noisy - loud rave music and wheel-spinning cars while we were there.
Saying all that, it's not a bad site at all and is as good as any if you're visiting

July 2003 Freindly welcome from the staff at the campsite. We had a tent but not with electric hook-up and were pitched in a part of the site where there was work being done and a wee walk away from the play areas. As we have two youngsters they were out of our sight when playing at the play areas but if we had plumped for the electric hook-up we would have been nearer the play area. The toilet facilities at the main reception area were better than the ones at the site club and we preferred to walk further to get to the showers at the reception area. All in all the site is a good level site with a freindly atmosphere but if you take a tent with kids go for the electric hook-up.
