Very disappointed with our weekend visit. This could be a lovely site, but has been allowed to go into a state of disrepair. The toilet facilities are not adequate for the size of site, were filthy most of the time and the shower cubicles were far too small. Hot water in the washing up area came out at a minute dribble, and again the area was not clean. Pitches were far from level although they did have a lovely view of the near by beach. The family running the site seemed more interested in the static vans and chalets than the tourers and were overheard being very rude about their customers! They were not friendly and were not interested in hearing about any problems or polite suggestions. People management skills are definitely lacking. I will not be staying again.

Great campsite! Managed to squeeze us in late on a Friday after being turned away from Llanmadoc! Brilliant views from the tent field - yes not all pitches are level put at 8:30 on a Friday night it was fantastic. It's mainly a family park so owners don't have any messing about be prepared to be shouted at if you think you can treat it like hillend! A great stay, very grateful to be squeezed in so late and we will defiantly be visiting again.

We arrived without prior booking, and were greeted by a really friendly family, who confirmed that a pitch with electric hook up was available. After reading the above review, we felt a little apprehensive about the mentioned road. In reality, however, this tiny bit of tarmac didn't get busy at all while we were there. People seemed to use it to access their pitches and that was it! A lovely contoured area for tents, not your boring square field! Fabulous views and relatively peaceful, just a short stroll down to the beach. Will definitely return!

We spent half-term week in a tent at Newpark and were blessed with dry sunny weather, if a bit windy. We had a good week and really enjoyed ourselves, but I don't think I'd stay here again. Newpark is okay, but it is primarily a static (or season-long pitch for a tourer) site. The tent 'field' is actually a series of plateaux cut into the hillside, few of which are anything like level. The big downside of this site is that the tent field is bisected by a road that leads to another caravan park, hence there is a fair bit of traffic going up and down from early morning to late evening. The facilities are fairly old, but clean, but I did object to paying 25p per shower (3 mins only) on top of £18 per night for a dome tent and family of 4.

After being very dissappointed at another Gower campsite we were very pleased at the friendly welcome at Newpark. We had not booked beforehand but were given a pitch straight away, roomy and with a great view accross the bay. We would definitely go there again and would highly reccommend this site.

April 2004 Spent Easter Bank Holiday at this site, nice friendly people in reception. On arrival we were given a roll of toilet paper(because the paper left in the toilet block was being stolen.) Shower blocks were being refurbished, but they were ok (a charge of 25 pence per shower, not cheap if you have a large family). The pitch we had was fine - nice and level with views down to the beach. Now comes the downside a lovely safe walk down to the beach which takes you through the site, but the walk back up is horrendous it is very steep and when you get to the top you need to sit down and get your breath and legs back. I would definately visit the site again because of the friendly people.

august 2002 I have been visiting this site for years, first with my children and now with my grandchildren. If you want a family friendly site this is the place to go. There is no club house but the pub, five minutes walk is child friendly with a play area at the back. the toilet and showers are cleaned regularly and are of a high standard. There is a campsite shop launderette, and a play area. Dogs are welcome but are not allowed to roam, and there is a dog's toilet on site. If you want a fuss free site with lots of interesting places in walking distance this is the site for you.
