On the whole we found the site to be quite pleasant. The pitches are a good size with water and rubbish bins placed in easy reach. The toilet and shower block is a little outdated and could benefit with a little refurbishment. All the pitches are on level flat ground. High season weekends we found to be very busy and a little noisy at times but everyone seemed to be friendly. The site is in a good location for warersports and fishing with the beach and a private launch area on site. If anything the site could do with a club house/ pub as there is nothing currently on site and no pub actually in the village.

We have spent a week at the site enjoying the peace and quiet. There was a warm welcome from the staff on site. The access to the beach was via steep steps but there is another easier access from the boat launch area. The pitch was level, clean and well maintained. The site is ideal for families, children were riding bikes, flying kites and playing ball games on site without any problems. The facilities were excellent, clean and plenty of hot water in showers. The shop has basic items and is open each day from 8am. Gas is also available. There are plenty of places to visit nearby, either on foot or in the car. We walked towards Skipsea on the clifftop road, finding the Galleon fish shop which is open every evening 5 to 9pm. The ladies who serve in the shop are nice and the food is good. We also found a small arcade though we didn't try it out as our children were more interested in going to the beach. There are plenty of places to visit from the site in either direction, towards Bridlington or Hornsea. you can walk to either place along the beach, though it is quite a long walk. We will definitely visit again, we came home relaxed and refreshed.

Totally enjoyed the site. It was Easter weekend and fully booked but the site didn't feel over crowded or crammed in like some sites. There was plenty of room between pitches and room for the kids to play, and ride their bikes safely. The staff were very helpful and friendly (even when I lost my toilet key!)
Just one thing to watch and that is the kids near the cliff edge as its not cordend off,but my kids are 5 and 3 so no fear of anything! Other then that a great site to visit and highly recommend as we will be booking again

We chose this site because of previous write ups and to be honest they were all pretty much right. On arrival we found the staff and owner to be very friendly and helpful we were booked to be in the tent paddock but due to heavy rain a few days on the run previous we were redirected to what seemed the perfect pitch. And it sure was a perfect flat piece with a great view facing the sea about 30ft away from the cliff. As people on previous write ups have said there is the element of erosion but you will get that anywhere along that coastline so if you go just be aware ! The site as a whole was very clean compared to some we have been to with clean toilets/showers/laundrette my only concern was that the gents/ladies keys were the same locks. The on site shop was stocked well with reasonable prices too and there are 2 decent fish and chip shops within walking distance not to mention a good social club about 15 Min's walk away with very decent and cheap beer. We had a very nice 5 days stay there and will returning sometime in the near future that for sure Friendly staff and campers all round great views quite site well maintained what more would you want !

Just back from our first jaunt in Tina 2, our new MH! We picked this large site in case we ran into trouble with anything unexpected. Arrived late Friday evening but Stan met us and was very helpful, none of the usual regimented 'gates close at 9pm sharp'!. Choice of pitch to our liking was offered. Having spent the weekend there it is clear to see the 'front' of the site is busy and bustling with direct views and sounds of the sea whilst towards the back it's P&Q but no sound or view of the sea. We chose the back and didn't regret it, its only a short walk. Facilities are good and clean, the staff lovely kind Yorkshire folk, the visitors were clearly having a fab time and the beach is FANTASTIC, you can walk for mile upon mile on glorious sands. Only gripe is the bread arrives about mid day! But there's a shop on the next static site, at the top of the beach steps, and they have a cafe, so lots of cakes, scones and bread all day long (discovered on Sunday!). Although kids and dogs were allowed, neither caused any problems at all, the site is level and well maintained, pitches plenty big enough with a mix of long term stayer's and weekend visitors. A good site, will definitely go back

May 2005 We pitched in the overflow field, lovely, sheltered and reasonably flat. The campsite is lovely and quiet, just yards from the beach. The site is very clean and so are the showers and the washing up area. We went bank holiday weekend but it was still a peaceful site. Great beach for the dogs & us, not too crowded, will definitely go back but only if we can stay on the over flow field as don't fancy pitching next to the cliff.

March 2005 We visited this site on the recommendation of a friends previous visit. The site was up to expectations boasting all modern conveniences, helpful staff, clean facilities, organisation and a true gentleman of a tractor driver - thankyou for saving our bogged down day!
Although please be aware that the cliffs near the beach are quite a drop and if you take small children, advise them before arrival of the dangers these cliffs may bring. There are no warning signs of the dangers. I even found myself standing on a seven foot overhang (this broke off during our stay - fortunately happeneing overnight so knownbody was injured).
Tents must be extra vigilant as the cliff edge area is mainly for tents and campers.
Yes! the site is good, although please, please be aware of the east coastal edge.

August 2004 We pitched our tent for just two nights here in the overflow field. The campsite is lovely and quiet, you are just yards from the beach. The site is very clean and we could pitch our tent anywhere as we did not need a hook up. The toilets and showers were very clean so was the washing up area. My only complaint is that there are no sinks in the shower room so once you have had your shower you need to walk round to the other side of the block to clean teeth etc.
The weather was fantastic whilst we were there which added to it being a fab weekend away.

May 2004 we stayed at this site over the Bank holiday weekend - end of May.
The site was fairly busy, but not crowded. we were pitched in an overflow area, just a large field with a water point, waste water trailer and a couple of large bins in the middle of the field. The field had tents all around the perimeter, but it was a Bank holiday. The toilet and shower block was nearby and was clean, these were accesible via a key which cost a few quid deposit, refunded on returning key at end of stay. The showers are free, push button, water comes out type, and warm to hot, I think the block was closed at 11pm.
The site was mostly full of caravans, both statics and tourers, most attached to power points.
Some of the tents were pitched right on the sea front, with fantastic views, would definately like to stick the tent up there on another trip.
The site has a shop, but as I didn't use it I can't say much about it.
The site opens directly onto a large stretch of beach, site residents can launch boats/jet bikes from here.
Within 5 minutes walk from site is a cafe and shop and small amusement arcade and fish shop. Within a further 5 minutes in the coastal road direction of Skipsea is another amusement arcade and fish shop.
There is a pleasant walk from this site down the coast road to skipsea and round back to the site which took us 2 hours at a medium pace with a decent stop at the "Board Inn" for a pint of Burtonwood Dark.
Bridlington is 7 or 8 miles away.
All in all, a very nice site, would recommend and will likely return.

Since 1968! Just to add to what others have said - I have been visiting this caravan park and staying with my parents in their static caravan since I was a twinkle in their eye!
It's got a lovely sandy beach, generally low clay cliffs and is great for families who want a less commercial site where kids can run (or ride bikes) relatively free. I spent many happy holidays beachcombing here as a kid, and I still see kids doing the same today.
I've used the shower, toilet and laundry facilities on the touring site, and they're pretty decent. On balance, a good site if you don't mind being away from it all to a degree, and driving out for entertainment.
