If you want to stay in a great little camping area close to sand dunes and the beach then this site is for you.
We had booked 2 nights but loved it so much we stayed an extra night.
Basic but clean shower/toilet block but overall a lovely site.

We visited this site for a weekend. Booked last minute. It's a gem of a find.
Very friendly staff,
Allowed late check out on day of departure,
Lovely and clean,
A short stroll from the beach which is stunning. Not far from formby centre either.
Great value. You need £22 deposit for fob and toilet block key just to be aware and its cash only.
Definitely will be returning.

Owners and residents all very friendly which was great. Site appears to be run down sadly and needs some upgrading. If this was done would be amazing.
This is a huge site mainly statics.
The sites position is fantastic as only a short walk through sand dunes to a wonderful beach Which is national trust.
Some of the other campers were loud until after midnight on the night we stayed.

Fantastic location close to dunes and beach with 19 flat hard standing pitches and good facilities. It was surprisingly quiet when we visited which added to the delight of the site.
The wardens are excellent and friendly and great value for money at £23 with electricity
The only slight issue was lack of washing up facilities but probably reflects the vast majority are statics

A lovely quiet site with easy access directly onto sand dunes and the beach. Ideal for our two dogs who loved the freedom of off lead walks so close.
The touring pitches are all close to the toilet/shower block and chemical waste and grey waste disposal points adjacent to all pitches.
A short walk into Formby itself where we had a pub lunch and a hair cut (essential for us as we are on a UK tour with no end date).
Staff on site very friendly.
This site is like stepping back in time; no electronic booking system and payment by cheque or cash only. Something to prepare for if you, like us rarely carry either. However, don’t let this put you off, it’s a very cute place and well worth a visit

We will definitely be returning soon,
It was really peaceful and the people were helpful and friendly.
Enclosed to the sand dunes and a wonderful beach.
Short walk to village, everything you need there.
Wish we could have stayed longer

Absolutely everything is what we liked, from a friendly welcome to us wanting an extra night and the nice lady in the office sorting it.
Showers and toilet block were spot on, always clean and loads of hot water (free)
Pitch size were nice especially under the trees. And literally 2minute walk into the sand dunes then onto the biggest beach I've ever seen (home or abroad)
I would 100%recommend this site if you like walking and like a chilled out quiet site.
But please don't all rush to it because we want to go back sooner rather than later
