Stayed for 2 nights in July, very nice clean, tidy site. Made to feel very welcome by the owners, excellent safety with the barrier to stop caravans being taken. Toilets and showers were spotless, good place to tour round the area and great for the a55, brought the caravan down a night earlier and was charged only 2 pound to keep it there till the fri night when we actually stayed in it. Also liked the keys being used to get into the showers, toilets. Litter bins kept inside which stops any unsightly rubbish piles. All in all a good site

Easy to find even though its still closeish to the A55. We did hear a few vehicles on the road leading to the site, ( only a 1 track lane, so drive slowly).
Site owners very friendly and helpful.
The Rally field and tent field are one and the same.
Only 1 water tap which was located at the entrance to this field and it got a bit muddy at times.
Toilets were 1st class although at 1 point there was only one cubical in operation.
Again the showers were 1st class, but with only 2 working during our stay a queue soon built up, esp with in the region of 250 people staying at the site.
Dyserth is about 2-3 miles away and boasts a beautiful waterfall, a chiipie and a local spar as well as a pub.
A bit further away there is Abergele which has a Tesco.

We visited the campsite on the last weekend in July.
We found the owners were friendly and helpful.
The site is very well looked after, the toilet and showers were spotless the washing up facilities were excellent with plenty of hot water. The showers were free.
The waste was all indoors and well organised.
The site is very secure with an entrance gate, CCTV and a key system in order to use the combined toilet & shower block. It is very safe for children, but there were no facilities.
The field was fairly sheltered and flat.
There were lots of electric hook ups if required.
The scenery was great and we visited a couple of local pubs which were within 2 miles of the site.
A fantastic site, we've have booked to go back again over the August bank holiday weekend.

Stayed on this site for four nights what a pleasure it was, the camping field was quite big with 44 hook ups and five foot nicely trimmed hedges and close mowed grass with good hard surface and not a sign of breaking up.
The toilets were on a key system which worked great and was spotless 24 hour a day very light and airy with free showers and plenty of soap and paper and hand dryers also a toilet for the less able and two large stainless steel dish washing facilities and a laundry room.
The dustbins was in a room on their own out of sight and another room with stainless steel chemical disposal point the owner has really put a lot of thought and money into this site and it does deserve the five star from the welsh tourist board even the two ladies staff was always nice and cheerful and believe me or not someone walks the site every day looking for litter and dog poo never have I seen this before.
There is not a lot of rules here only common sense but the owner take a very dim view of noise and litter and dog poo he really stick to the rules regards this whoever you are and rightly so.
No play area of such but plenty of running about spaces and the shops are about five minutes drive and the beaches about 10 minutes drive its in a very scenic area first class spotlessly clean and friendly site somewhere I will return very often and the rates are very reasonable

This was a really nice site!
We stayed for four nights, staff were helpful and friendly, site was clean, the showers were hot but were a little too close to the wall, also you needed to take toilet roll into the cubicle with you, as their was none in the cubicles, this was located on a dispenser in the block. Had a problem with one of the electric sockets, but this was resolved by changing to a different socket.
A great position to explore north wales, with Rhyl and Conwy 20 mins away!
We had fantastic weather and had an excellent stay!
Overall the site would have been perfect if it had a store on site for your bits and bobs, otherwise it was a ten min drive to the nearest shop!

Just stayed for one week over the school holidays.
Site is easy to find off the A55 and is well sign posted.
The tent field is well maintained and has lovely views over the country side. Even though the field was busy, there were no noise problems.
You can hear the cows moo-ing and the cockerel from the farm next door, but this didn't bother us at all (our 2 year old thought it was funny)
Shower and toilet block was immaculate at all times. The dish washing are was also very clean. Both areas had plenty of hot water. The only thing to remember in the toilets is to collect your toilet roll from the main area before going into the cubical (as there is none inside the cubical) There is also no hand soap available.

Stayed on this site for one week of the school half term.
Very easy site to find and great location for the A55 and touring North Wales.
Shower block always had hot water and we never had to queue at any time. They where always spotless. One main concern though is that there was never any soap supplied at the wash hand basin in the toilets and you either take your own toilet roll with you, or collect some on the way to the cubicles as it is on one main roll near to the entrance.
Also the projection of water from the shower head was very close to the wall so you had to stand really close to get a full shower.
You would not be able to shower your children in the same cubicle as space was quite tight and nowhere to place your belongings except on the floor.
No cycling and games allowed on the park. These are restricted to the rally field. The rally field and the tent field are both the same field. So with a rally around the outside and tents filling up the middle, the space for the kids to play games became quite restricted.
No noise problems even from the A55.
We could also not leave any dry waste (rubbish) when staying on the rally field and took our rubbish to the tip in Rhyl.
There was no kids play area.
There was a laundry although we did not use it.
The pot wash area again was always spotless and always had hot water. Only one small gripe was that again space was a bit small and no bin for scraps etc from the dishes.
EHU in the field is also restricted to 6amps and don't forget your £5 deposit for the toilet key.
Overall we had a great time and the surrounding area is beautiful.
Owner's comments: Just to clarify, this review is from a rallier who was on that weekend with a folding camper rally. I find that the review is not a proper example of what caravanners or tenters should expect to find on visiting the site. There were areas on the park not available to them and facilities not available due to the fact that they were paying rally rates, and not the full rates that other campers were paying.

Excellent site, easy to find, well worth a return visit. The only downside we found was the lack of showers and pot washing sinks
We visited May/June Bank Holiday the site was almost full so consequently the 3 showers that were available in the two toilet blocks had a long waiting time, not good if you have small children with you.
Maybe they could think of putting another shower / toilet block in the tent field that would make the site even better.

Site spotlessly clean, toilets / showers immaculate, washing up area adequate for needs, no problems with this site at all. Kids are a bit restricted as only allowed to play in rally / tent field and as it was busy, had to play around units, but people didn't find it a problem and joined in with them.
All in all, this site is highly recommended by us as an ideal base to explore the north Wales coast as the A55 is a matter of minutes away but you cannot hear the sound of the traffic from the site.
Owners are very friendly and we will definitely be using this site again.
Electric hook up is only 6amps but this is enough for camping and we never had a problem with the electric tripping out.

This was the 2nd time we had stayed at this camp site and again we were not disappointed. The shower and toilet blocks are very clean and the staff are friendly, the site is well maintained and has beautiful views.
Good location for visiting other areas of North Wales.
If you fancy eating out one night then I can recommend the New Inn pub which is near to the waterfall, the food is home cooked and value for money however you will need to book to ensure you have a table.
Will stay at this site again.
