What a great family site! Toilet and shower block was in pristine condition and kept clean all the time we was on site. The waterfalls at Dyserth are a good place to visit and Rhyl and Prestatyn are only a ten minute drive away. As for shops there's a Spar in Dyserth and I spotted an Aldi on the way to Prestatyn. Would I go to this site again?? Well I'm booking to go in August for 4 nights.

This is a really nice site, and very quiet, so good for peace and quiet, weather absolutely glorious, showers immaculately done out. People very friendly and this included the owners.
You need £5 deposit for key to shower and laundry block, but you get this back when you leave. They don't take debit or visa cards just so you know, but cheque and cash is fine. Site is done out lovely with raised brick garden borders dotted about. Recycling for paper and glass only. They also have a bar across the top of the entrance that is 6foot 6inch limit but the bar is raised for you to enter and depart site with caravan. Good idea as this would stop people trying to pinch anyones stored caravan that is off to the right of the site as you enter.
The only things that I can call observations, they are not criticisms or disappointing factors is 1. There is no dog walk on site or outside of site, as its a very small lane but can get a bit busy, and there are no paths or verges so you have to be wary when walking your dogs. 2. Showers although immaculate, were very close to the wall, so you needed to stand quite close to the tiled wall to get showered. Probably may have been better to have the showers out more from the wall abit. 3. Toilet paper is outside of the toilet cubicles so you have to remember to take this in with you. 4. Vans hubby thinks could do with being slightly wider apart, although we had plenty of room, but he thought they could have been more apart. Thats really all we could observe from a personal point of view, other than that - great for adults, great for kids and great for dogs. Oh no dog bins though, but they do want you to pick up after your dog obviously. Our dogs were very chilled out here. Would go back and recommend it, just take note of the observations so you are prepared.

This is a very quiet well run site. It is in a beautiful location in rural Wales. The site owners are very helpful and friendly. There are clean and well serviced facilities. Most pitches have water supply, waste water drain away and electric hookup.
The owners expect good behaviour from residents and put an immediate stop to drunken rowdy conduct. This is exemplified by the fact that rallies held at the site have always passed without incident and many caravans return year after year.
The only drawback is that the hardstandings are not especially hard and awning pegs do become dislocated in high winds.

Just got back. Lovely site. So clean and level.
Great for tents.
The toilets were lovely and clean, although the lack of toilet roll in each one was a bit of a fiddle, especially if you forgot to grab some on the way in!
The owners were friendly and helpful and obviously take pride in the site. It was lovely and quiet and safe for our two small kids.
Great location and easy access to so many places.
It is close to the road though, which means some traffic noise but it didn't bother us. Neither did that cockeral!

This is a lovely site for adults but there is little or nothing for kids. The owners were helpful and friendly and the site was immaculate although the weekend we went it seemed a little disorganised - we paid for a service pitch but ended up on a piece of grass which was not actually a pitch at all so had to get refunded. The toilets were immaculate but the one fault we found was that there were no toilet rolls in individual toilets - there was one big roll by the sinks and you had to take some in with you - could be embarrassing if you did not know about this - you had to leave a £5 deposit for a key to these facilities. There is no shops in walking distance so make sure you have enough stuff if you don't want to drive - the roads are narrow. Dyserth Waterfalls are worth a visit - a small admission fee of 20p is charged and its an honesty box system.

Visited this site for a 2 night stay. Site toilets and showers exceptionally clean at all times. Site owners friendly and helpful. The scenery was beautiful. There is local shops including a Spar and a butchers which are in the town of Dyserth which is about a 5 minute drive. On the Saturday, some of our family decided to join us, there was no problem in accomodating them with their tents. The one thing that impressed us about this site was that it was very safe in the rally field as we have a 5 and 3 year old. There is cctv on the site and a barrier system to enter the site for added peace mind. Will definitely return to this site as we had a brilliant 2 day break.

This is a lovely site, very clean and quite (except for the cows over the road). Owners very friendly. The toilets / showers were spotless. Had to give a £5 deposit for the toilets / showers which was worth it. Laundry facilities available and two sinks for washing up also very clean. Not much to do for children but a perfect site for adults. Would highly recommend this site and we would definitely go back.

Just come back from 3 night stay at Penisar.
First time with a touring caravan having had a tent in the past. This site is absolutely spotless. The owner even reversed our van onto pitch for us(as I said first timer's) Showers and toilets cleanest I have come across. Within easy reach of so many of Wales's beauty spots, would highly recommend this site.

Visited this site for the bank holiday weekend ,this site is spotless ,you will not find litter anywhere on site .The owner is a real down to earth guy and is very helpful .The toilets and showers are also spotless ,everything about this site is right .The owners don't allow groups of lads or girls on site ,and prefer not to have teenagers as there isn't anything for them on site.I will definitely be going back before the end of the season ,its exactly 1 mile off the a55 easy to get to or what????and p.s. They must have throttled the cockerel making the noise as we heard nothing !
