Really lovely tidy site. Wardens always around cleaning and tidying. Very friendly. Told to pick a pitch and then come back and get a key for the toilet block and barrier.2 toilet keys one on barrier opener as well. No deposit required.Large hardstanding pitches. You could have got three vans on the space they had 2 vans on, brilliant. All electric hook ups. Was windy first day there but because of hedges didn,t feel windy. Toilet block, modern and clean, loos, showers and vanity cubicles. Showers, hot and adjustable, stool in cubicle. Hair dryers free. Reception sells sweets. Tesco (24hours) and Morrisons 2 miles away. Couldn't believe we were near Blackpool airport didn't hear a thing. (maybe the wine helped) CC members only, £18.60 per night, 2 adults.Would definitely come again.

Probably the best maintained site we've been too, not a twig out of place and the showers were absolutely immaculate at all times. Pitches are a very good size with hard standings and small hedges in between. Wardens are very friendly and helpful.
Trouble is the fact its a bit out of the way with a 10 min drive to squires gate or 20 Min's to st Anne's in the other direction.
The tescos that is nearby is quite handy though but it kept us fit as we don't like to use the car! Doesn't take tents either FYI.

A very well maintained site with very clean shower/toilet block. Whilst it is not the most attractive caravan club site we have stayed on,it does provide an ideal base to reach the main attractions in Blackpool by car. As a family with two young boys we can recommend the Sea Life Centre, The Tower Experience (seems expensive but well worth it), Blackpool Zoo and of course the illuminations (go midweek). Just a couple of negative points, whilst the majority of the wardens were very pleasant, one in particular was not at all tolerant of the children on site. Whilst I appreciate the time and effort taken in keeping things neat and tidy, was it really necessary to chastise our children when a small handful of gravel was pushed off the pitch onto the road way? I do not appreciate my children being told to "go dig on the beach, not here" when they were not digging anything at all. Be very careful in the showers especially with younger children. Two pipes come down the wall, one cold and the other hot. The latter is not lagged in any way and is blistering hot to touch.

I stayed at this site in September and it was great, the staff were friendly ,the toilets were immaculate with plenty of piping hot water. The park itself is well laid out with large pitches and good roads and all of the hedges and lawns are superbly maintained. There is a caravan dealer within three quarters of a mile {I needed a new breakaway cable} and plenty of pubs restaurants and supermarkets in the area. If you are going to Blackpool for the illuminations and would like a nice peaceful site I would highly recommend this one.

If you want to visit Blackpool this is an excellent site. The wardens at where out every day brushing stones, cleaning grass areas emptying bins. Probably one of the tidiest sites I have been in. The road noise did annoy us a bit, so I would be careful pitching up next time. You would need a car to get to the attractions in Blackpool as this site is reasonably far out of town. The site office sold us a one day ticket to Blackpool Tower at £46 this seemed expensive but the kids enjoyed the circus lots to do in the tower and so on balance it was worth it. Would visit the site again without hesitation

A lovely site, very very clean. The toilet / shower block was spotless. The children's play area was very safe - they did not need to cross the road to get to it. It was an easy drive into St.Anne's or Blackpool, the nearby Beefeater was very friendly and provided excellent service, it was easy to park our Motorhome there! We will be back.

We stayed at Blackpool South for 3 nights and yes its a very very nice site would reccomend it to anyone. Just one downside is that there is quite a lot of road noise from the motorway behind. But as I say a very nice site and we will return but will try and get at the other end of the site away from the road noise.

Typical Caravan Club site with spacious pitches, tarmac roads and a loose stone based hard standing usually separated by shrubs and/or grass. This is no exception. The staff were pleasant. The information room was useful. The site was clean and well maintained. The toilets and showers were warm, clean and tidy. We had nice neighbours too. What more could you ask for?
Every time I visit Blackpool I'll try to get on to this site. (Its much better than the British holidays site just a mile or two down the road that we stayed in the last time we visited Blackpool.)

March 2004 Great site. Friendly wardens. Usual high CC standards in all the facilities. Easy to find and well located for going into Blackpool or St Annes. Five minute drive to 24 hour Tesco for all your grocery needs. Would not hesitate to return - but need to book well in advance to guarantee a pitch.
