This site is easy to find just off the main road in Braemar, with a little road noise which did not bother us at all. It is well laid out with spacious hardstanding pitches with good views of the surrounding countryside.
The toilet/shower block is clean and modern although we did not actually use it as we prefer to use our own facilities. You can order bread and papers for morning delivery although it is only a 5 minute walk down to the village which has a butchers, chemist, cafe and well stocked Co-op plus the usual gift shops.
We were there for two nights and on the first night we had about 6 inches of snow. However the wardens, with their mini snow plough, had the internal roads cleared by mid morning!

We stayed here for four nights. The site is level, well maintained and reasonably sheltered. The facilities are very spacious with drying rooms and the like. The tent area was car free which gave it a nice feel. It was wet and we found the pitches became very soggy. Key fob operated security gates, wifi intermittent and expensive, easy walk into village and friendly staff.
Fantastic spot for exploring the Cairngorms. The Linn of Dee is a must to visit. There are plenty of tourist shops, a Co-op and an excellent butcher. There was only one hotel, selling bottled beer. Another hotel in the village centre was under going major refurbishment and village pub was under construction.
A good place to stay.

We stayed here for over a week (a couple) in our tent and found the site to be perfect for our needs! Lovely flat, well-kept grass, spaced out pitches, lovely wooded surroundings with mountains overlooking us, close to lots of walking and within easy walking distance of the centre of the delightful village of Braemar - which has a great 'chip shop', Co-op, fantastic Outdoor shop and a range of good quality gift shops. We walked round the ruined castle in the village, but didn't find time to visit Braemar Castle itself (we were doing Munros).
Most of the site is clearly dedicated to motorhomes/caravans and camper vans but there was enough space for tents not to feel overwhelmed by the tin box people. One area for tents is car-free which may suit some. We stayed in another area which had electric hook-ups as we are becoming camping wimps in our 'old' age.
There were two toilet blocks, both in spotless condition and with sufficient facilities for the numbers of people using them (I didn't have to wait for anything). Even better, there is a drying room (for outdoor clothes to dry) and a proper boot drying room. (We really needed this one day!). The staff were always lovely and friendly and offered help if they could. The wifi was extra to pay for and a bit hit and miss - but it was the Olympics - so perhaps people were spending time checking up on it. A very international place. We really like Royal Deeside and will be back!

Spent an absolutely glorious week at Braemar caravan park (after being driven out of Loch Lomond by midges!). The wardens were delightful and really helpful in recommending local walks. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The site itself is spotlessly clean as were toilets and showers. Location is stunning and were also blessed with wonderful weather for most of the week. The resident ducks are a delight and it was lovely to watch the soaring buzzards! Braemar itself is a gem with the perfect amount of amenities. Were sorry to leave, so will definitely be back!

Very clean site & quite. Shower/toilet block very clean and plenty hot water. Wardens very nice.
A 10mins walk takes you into Braemar plenty places to walk if your into walking and scenery is lovely.

We have stayed here a few times & absolutely love it. The wardens are welcoming, friendly & helpful & the facilities are clean & warm. There is wifi which you pay extra for & which worked well while we were there. Braemar is a lovely village & only a short walk from the site. There is a Co-op & a cafe called 'The Bothy' which has great coffee & amazing views! This is the perfect place for a peaceful break or a lovely stopover while touring Scotland. We really like the drive from Blairgowrie to Braemar & then from Braemar to Ballater.

This site has excellent facilities, lovely staff and a great little camping area. It's clean and the shower block is lovely and warm. The laundry facilities are brilliant and the drying room is superb. Right by Braemar town and close to hundreds of walking trails. The only extra you have to pay for is wifi.

I have just returned from a 6 night stay with the dog.
Braemar Caravan Park is in an excellent location for exploring Deeside. A quick 5 minute walk takes you into the heart of Braemar with a variety of eating places and shops. There is also a butcher in the village - great for the BBQ! There are a variety of walks straight from the door, and with the Linn of Dee being just along the road which will take you into the heart of the cairngorms
You could pitch your tent where you liked and tent pitches were flat - although cars must be left in designated areas and not right to your text, which was no problem for me.
Site was quiet whilst I was there and fellow campers extremely friendly - and despite being in the middle of holidays was not over-crowded. Toilets clean and Showers were lovely and hot.
Wifi is available for a small charge, freezer available for ice packs and were happy to charge my mobile phone and camera battery to remember the fabulous scenery.
Staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful - they really couldn't do enough for me.
Overall a fantastic campsite, in an excellent location with fantastic facilities. Also good value for money.
Would I return - Absolutely!

This was our first visit to this site and we were welcomed by Emily and Dean who were very friendly and helpful. Our pitch was excellent and the whole site was immaculate with recycling and regularly emptied bins. It was very dog friendly with an excellent dog walking area. The shower block and toilets were spotless and there were no queues for showers when we were there. It was a lovely quiet site which we would definitely visit again. Emily was extremely helpful when we asked for information about walks and went to the trouble of photo-copying several local fantastic walks for us. We couldn't find fault with this site at all, it was fantastic.

We spent two nights at this campsite in July. The tent area was nice and flat, easy to put pegs in. Showers and toilets are excellent, so is the washing up area. There was plenty of hot water with no push button but just a normal shower which you can leave on as long as you need it, and you can adjust the temperature.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked and paid online in advance and had no trouble getting in. There is a playground, but it almost looks like it's under construction; it has a flying fox (great!) and climbing frame but that's it. I can only assume the owners are planning on adding more. It's good to have something at least!
Braemar itself is walking distance, even with a 4 and 6-year-old. There are some lovely walks in the area (buy a route booklet at the tourist information, I think it was £1. 40 - not expensive anyhow). We walked to Braemar Castle via the Lion's Face - very enjoyable and the castle was a great find. It's Scotland's only community owned castle and the volunteers give fantastic tours!
All in all I would recommend this campsite. Mind you, do take some midge repellent.
