Great welcome from the wardens, told us to select our pitch and let them know the pitch no.

Toilet and shower facilities very good, good size pitches,

Wonderful surroundings and what a bonus when the deer come onto the site at night, mind you it was snowing on the tops.

Braemar is a short walk away with shops pubs etc. The bus service is quite good. There is walking cycling fishing etc from the site which is great if you don't want to travel too far.

Tried to find the chippy but it was closed down when we were there. Would we go again the answer is a definite yes.

First visit to Braemer. Very clean site, but kind of quiet when we were there, kids liked the play park and small burn that runs along side the park.

The scenery is beautiful, short drive to the glenshee centre and 3o miles or so to Pitlochry.

The hungry highlander chippy in Braemar is very nice, the biggest hotel in town was not serving meals and by the sounds of it better of not but Gordons Bistro was fortunately open for business and nice meal. Not much to do in Braemar itself!

This was our first visit to a caravan club site after recently joining and we were impressed by the way these sites are run. We were told to choose our pitch and then let the warden know which one we picked.

The weather was very wet the whole time we were there but the pitches were not flooded.

Braemar is a nice little town with a few shops and hotels to eat in. We ate at the invercauld arms which is a really nice place but 3 things we asked for they did not have (one was a roll for the burger) All pretty basic stuff for a large hotel.

Also went to balmoral castle but found it a bit of a waste of time and money as you are only allowed in 1 room of the entire castle!

Great site in a very Picturesque village. The village of Braemar is a short walk from the site. There is a good fast food shop which serves your food on a tray.

The wardens are bit of a grumps and insist that you don't feed the ducks.

However the site is kept to a very high standard and all facilities were very clean.

There is children's play area and a very good dog walk the is sometimes very wet when it rains heavy.

Braemar itself is not dog friendly but some shops allow you to entry with small dogs. There are no dog friendly pubs or hotels in Braemar which I feel is a shame seeing that must motorhomers/cavaners seem to have dogs.

Still, it is a good site and I would recommend it to anyone.

This was one of my favourite sites whilst on a 3 week tour of Scotland. The facilities were first class and the pitches very spacious and well laid out. There is a lovely wooded area to walk your dog, or just for a wander as I did to see some birdlife. The village is a short walk away and has some lovely shops (including a pharmacy)and a choice of places to eat and drink. There are plenty of walks from the site whether you want easy walking or a climb up the hills/mountains, or alongside the river. The scenery is beautiful and there is plenty of wildlife including Deer and Red Squirrels. The toilets and showers were very spacious and even have separate washing cubicles. The laundry was great as I had a bit of washing and ironing and got this done quickly and cheaply. There is also an additional drying room where you can hang wet clothes or coats etc. And even a separate boot cleaning/drying room, plus a large information room which was well stocked with leaflets/maps of the area. The site overall was very well kept and the wardens very friendly and helpful. We would love to go back to this site again as it was first class and the area was very scenic.

Great site, lovely scenery, ducks waddling all over the site, and just a short walk to the village of Braemar. Plenty to see and do. Balmoral castle is worth a visit as is Linn of Dee waterfalls. We made the trip over the mountains to Tomintoul, which was well worth the journey just for the view alone. One down side though was eating out. We visited Gordons Tearoom and Restaurant a couple of times. On the second visit my five year old son was not very hungry, and only wanted soup. We were told that the manager was charging the full kids meal price for the soup, making it £4. 50 instead of £3. 00. A party of nine people actually got up and left, because one elderly gent with them only wanted a sweet. Instead of £3. 50, they were going to charge him £6. 50. Just because he didn't have a good appetite. That aside, I would thoroughly recommend this site.

This is a very good site, in the perfect area for walking, cycling, golfing,or just chilling. The wardens were friendly and they kept the site in tip top condition, it was full for tourers and tents when we visited and the toilet block was always clean. There is 2 toilet blocks. Mostly hard standing pitches flat and well enough spaced out.

There is a wooded walk around the site for the dogs and the kids to explore, the kids have a play area as well.

The village is nice to wander about in, ther is a couple pubs, a mini market plus cafes and other shops. Plenty of good walks from the site as well. TV signal was perfect where my pitch was. My only gripe would be the owner of a big dog across from our pitch, I just think the owner could have had a bit more control over the dogs barking at people walking past with other dogs, the wardens should have had a word, but apart from that I would recommend anyone to visit this great site.

This site is a typical caravan club site. Good facilities, clean toilet and shower blocks.

The site area is maintained well. Our older child loved the play area and little wood to explore.

Breamar village is lovely and the surrounding area is breathtakingly gorgeous. Lots of walks and places to cycle for any ability.

Only downside are the less than friendly and unwelcoming wardens. Pedantic at best, verging on ridiculous sometimes, eg. We weren't allowed to put our young daughter's sun protection tent on the grass between the hardstanding pitches on a lovely hot afternoon. It had to go on the stones- not very comfy!
Management response: Please note, Braemar Caravan Park is under new ownership from the 2016 season onwards

I have used this site a few times now, the only reason that I have returned is that there are not many campsites in or around this area.

Nice location close to the town centre. It is well laid out with good hook up points The site is clean and well maintained with decent shower blocks.

Its expensive if you are not a member of the caravan club. I stayed for two nights in my campervan with my girlfriend and did not get much change from £40. 00.

Spent one night here while touring the Cairngorms. It is short distance from the little town of Braemar, and facilities were superb. The town of Braemar is nice, with a good visitor centre, with an exhibition on the history of the area.

Far more enticing is the area as you leave Braemar to the Linn of Dee. The place is very isolated, surrounded my beautiful hillside scenery and amazing, fast flowing glens. Red deer are in abundance here, and you'll probably see red squirrels too.

A stunning place to visit.
