Just back from a very wet weekend in Tobermory. Despite the weather, we can thoroughly recommend the campsite. Toilets and showers were spotlessly clean. Good wash up area and 2 small fields for tents which were quiet and friendly. A little muddy underfoot but the weather was so bad that this was to be expected. Pubs in Tobermory were only 20 mins walk downhill, but don't attempt a walk back in the dark: Jimmy's Taxi (number on the campsite website) was only £3 for the very steep uphill journey home in the dark. Great site, excellent value at only £12 per night - we'll definitely be back.

Where do we start.
Excellent place to camp,we pitched next to the water it had been heavy rain for days and even though it was still raining on and off we still couldn't complain yes the grass was muddy and id definitely suggest you take your wellies but the toilets and showers were always immaculate and there's a washing up point with a porch to hang wet clothes if needed.Angus and catrina are great overall its what it is there's not club house or swimming pool but that's why we like it so peaceful.
Tobermorey is a 20min walk away I can recommend the western isles for meals the mussels are great and down in the centre of town the mishnish is the place to go even just to try the chip butty, its old world pub so much to look at and just feels comfortable.
Overall the whole place is fantastic and camping here was great

A fine site with Angus the owner being as friendly and helpful as any you'll meet. Armed with a Scottish-English dictionary you may even understand over half his words of wisdom!
Maybe Carolb the previous reviewer is used to pitching on a bowling green ? The site is as flat as almost any you'll find, with a nice stream to cool your beer. The drinking water tastes very good too.
My 6th visit to Mull, be back soon.

Decent campsite given that there wasn't much to choose from in the Tobermory area. Best thing about it was the toilets and shower were very clean and smelt nice! The camp site was quiet except for 2 large tents when we arrived. Having had bad experiences with noisy groups in the past, we could either camp next to them where the ground was bumpy or go somewhere else so I asked if we could camp around by the motor homes. Owner wasn't the friendliest I have met and told us we could only stay there for one night as she had bookings the next night. None of the plots were flat.

Lovely site, next to the stream. In a lovely peaceful location, just outside of Tobermory which has shops and restaurants. Excellent base for exploring the top of the gorgeous Island.
Angus the owner was friendly and helpful and would always stop for a chat.
The toilets were always spotless and the site was always well kept.
Would definitely return!

Lovely peaceful sheltered site just outside Tobermory, excellent for using as a base to tour the island. The owner Angus is both helpful and welcoming. Two camping fields both by the stream, you can park your car just next to the fields. Barbecues are allowed and bricks are supplied to prevent the grass being burnt. There are pitches for campervans too. The shower and toilets are kept very clean, with a hairdryer in the ladies.
The fish/chip van in Tobermory is a definitely worth a visit, but be aware of the steep hill out of Tobermory.

Absolutely brilliant site. Time and time again we are welcomed with a friendly smile. The owner, Angus, is great always finds time to stop for a blether and will go that extra mile to help you if you have a problem. Toilet and shower well kept and clean. No shop or bar on site but Tobermory is a short walk or drive away for all your bits and bobs.
Well worth a visit is calgary bay and if you walk along the path and up the hill you`ll discover the lost village, the view of the bay from up here is well worth the walk. All in all highly recommended.

Clean, peaceful campsite approx 15-20 minute walk down a hill into Tobermory. Friendly owner / warden, hairdryer in ladies, only one shower but it is a good one. No great views or anything but there are some nice pitches by the stream. Probably best for a stop off or use as a base to explore the local area. Lots of electric hook ups for vans it seemed on a tarmac area. You can't take your car onto the camping field but that's ok as it is really small anyway and the car park is just next to the field.
