Ideally situated for anywhere on the Fylde Coast. Serviced and hardstanding pitches at a bargain price. The owner has invented his method to connect caravans to waste water pipe and it works a dream - you adjust the pipe to where your caravan is rather than having to shunt your van to reach a hole in the ground. Bus stops are a five minute walk from the site and a supermarket is a 5 minute drive away. It is not as neatly manicured as many other sites but I felt this was more than outweighed by the pitch quality and convenient situation.
Would certainly return.

Fairly good value for money but do not expect too much. It was like camping in some ones back yard with a few broken down old sheds to look at! Owner is friendly and helpful and in all fairness this suited our needs as we had never been to Blackpool and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Site is convenient as there is a bus service which runs into Blackpool at top of road.
Showers and toilets are very basic and in our opinion could do with a thorough clean. There was no soap or handtowels provided in the toilets which we found unbelievable!
The site owner told us he is soon to increase his prices to £15 per night.
Not for us, we will not be returning to this site.

Pleasant quiet site--very handy for buses into Blackpool, Fleetwood and Cleveleys-- Toilets could do with a bit of updating and décor but good value for money--- The owner was very helpful and extremely laid back. TV reception was a little hit and miss but may have been down to our aerial. Not as close as others suggested for shops without transport but only a short walk to Car boot on Sat and Sun (weather permitting)

This campsite is just off the A6 approx 4 miles from Buxton.
When arriving we were very pleasantly surprised.
Set in a very nice location.
Toilet block was immaculate and wash up area
The site has full service pitches on hardstanding.
Also has a small shop within the reception.
Stayed there for 3 days, enjoyed our time there. Will definitely will be returning.
Pet friendly, has a dog exercise field.
Just have to remember it is attached to a working farm.
Strongly recommend this campsite.
Great for those who appreciate a quiet peaceful place.
More for adults than children perfect.

Just returned from this great little site. The site is described as 'semi rural' and this is accurate. However, once pitched up, felt miles from anywhere!Very close to Blackpool, Cleveleys and Fleetwood with all their attractions.
We were met by the site owner, a very friendly guy, who explained where everything was and he even connected the waste water pipe to our van. We arrived quite foolishly without any cash, expecting to pay by card. 'No problem' said the owner 'pay whenever!'
Site spotless and easy to find. It is basic but that is what we were after, intending to spend much of our time out. Shower rooms in the process of being spruced up. Plenty of hot water. My one complaint would be that there was no heating switched on in the shower rooms, making it a bit chilly when getting dried. Will definitely return here when next in the area.

Owner very helpful and informative.
There is plenty to do and see on the Fylde Coast (Freeport Blackpool and St Annes). Lancaster/Morecambe are also within easy reach.
Newly created hard standings are of high quality each with water, drain and hookup.
The site is very well drained and is kept in a clean and tidy condition.
The unisex toilet and showers are kept clean but are dated and in need of at least a coat of paint.
Overall an excellent site, good value for money and excellent pitches.
It is a pity that the Toilet block lets the site down to some extent, we very rarely use the toilet block so we found the site excellent value for money and would certainly return again.

Just returned from 9 day break at Beechwood Stables. We always visit Blackpool for Remembrance Sunday, but our usual campsite was closed and Beechwood was the alternative. Owner was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed, including password for the free WiFi. The fully serviced hardstanding pitches were excellent and the toilet/shower block clean and functional although the decoration needed a lick of paint.
The bus service to the surrounding area is excellent (especially if you have a bus pass) as is the tram between Starr Gate and Fleetwood. Again your bus pass makes this even more pleasurable. Bus stops for local towns etc. In any direction are 3 minutes walk and seem to be reliable and frequent. Supermarket (Morrisons) is nearby as is a chip shop and a homely pub with wood burning fire, serving food.
Take care when arriving or departing as the turning into New Lane from the somewhat busy Fleetwood Road South is quite narrow if other vehicles are on the junction. We shall always use this site in future when in the Blackpool Area.

Lovely welcome by owner who showed us to our pitch, there is 13 hard standing pitches and some grass pitches. Lovely cl site. The pictures on website of toilets/showers may have been taken a few years ago as they now look like they could do with some updating but would not put us of visiting again as it was very good value for money.
Blackpool, fleetwood and all major attractions are all within easy driving distance. There is a Morrison, chip shop and pub just up the road.

Great welcome given by the owner who showed us to our pitch and hooked up the waste services for us on our hardstanding pitch. Really nice site. C
Contrary to other review absolutely no problem with TV signal, took our Digital TV and tuned in, perfect picture.
Loo's and showers fine and clean.
You can get No 14 bus into Blackpool and we paid £9. 00 for a family day ticket which you can use on buses or trams, great value.
Worth a trip to Tower Circus if it's raining, used Tesco Clubcard vouchers (£10 booked in advance, tickets came through post) for family of 4, otherwise £38 on day.
Will definitely go back again in future. A big thank you although raining all weekend, had a great time!

We have stayed on Beechwood for 3 weeks we have had a lovely relaxed time and been made to feel welcome. Dave the owner is a lovely man, he leaves you to it, he's always around though if you need anything. The shower block is lovely and clean and warm with the central heating, also the showers are always hot water, and they are free. We stayed on hard standing and had tap and drainage which is so much easier. The site is quiet you can hardly hear the traffic on the road. The site is well positioned for Blackpool Cleveleys and Fleetwood. There's a bus route close by.
