I used this site for an overnight stop on the way to the West Coast. Usual excellent Caravan Club facilities, pleasant wardens and a very nice location. Good dog walk, easily accessed from our lovely walled garden pitch.
This site was ideal for using as a stopover, the access was easy, being off the main road, then there is a long drive into it, which meant there was no traffic noise, so we had a good night's sleep. We didn't hear any lions roaring in the nearby Safari park!
I would like to use this site again for a longer stay, now I know how good it is, I'll be back!

This is the 4th year we have visited this site. I take my 2 sons for a week in their summer holidays (while daddy stays home and works!) and we are usually joined by a friend and her 2 daughters. The kids absolutely love the site - the play area is very good and there are plenty of trees around to climb in (this year even made a 'den' in one!) Good old fashioned play. We try to pitch in the area through the walled garden - near the play area - and just love the freedom the children have there.
The toilet/shower/laundry facilities are 1st class. The toilet and shower block has been updated in the time we have visited. The whole area is kept immaculately clean. We have always found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. (Having read an earlier post where the writer complained she wasn't told about the safari park offer - my experience is the opposite - I initially did not know about the offer but was asked if I wanted to make use of it - and every year I have visited the caravan site I have been advised of the offer)
We have always made use of the excellent offer of unlimited entry into the safari park for the price of one entry. This is fantastic as we go about 3-4 times in the week - it means there's no rush to do or see everything in one day.
Just a short drive away - about 15-20 mins - is the beautiful town of Callander - lots of little shops to idle along and a great fish & chip shop - the holiday wouldn't be complete without our fish & chip treat!
Stirling is just another short drive away - there is the fabulous castle there to explore and the town has a very pleasant shopping centre, cinema complex and sports centre with swimming pool.
There's plenty to keep your family busy - I would highly recommend this site for it's peaceful feel, excellent facilities and beautiful location.

Site was easy to find, short drive past safari park and well sign posted.
Didn't like the free for all for your pitch, the man that block the entrance in front of us while we booked in, took the pitch we were meant to get. Ended up outside the walled garden with no TV signal due to the wall.
The play park is great and is in a separate area with about 18 pitches around that area, which is great if you have kids!
Toilet and shower facilities are excellent, plenty of them and very clean. Loved the idea of the family bathroom, made it much easier with the baby and toddler.
Site is very well kept.
Great value if you are visiting the Safari Park. Pay once and get unlimited access during your stay.

Just back from a great weekend at Blair Drummond Caravan Park.
Arrived at the site just before 6 to find reception already closed (as expected as read previous reviews) but instructions were simple and clear how to get in but beware if you're going to arrive after 8pm I would maybe find somewhere else, there is no chance you will be allowed onto the site and the late arrivals area is small and I didn't see EHU.
Anyway, again having read the reviews we headed right through the walled garden and found a pitch close to the park which suited us having 3 kids but really having the choice I would look for one of the half dozen outside the wall to the left as you go through.
Site is immaculately kept, toilets and showers are very new and again beautifully kept.
Point to note, staff are friendly enough but don't expect any flexibility in any of the rules relating to reception opening times!
Good value (especially considering the quality of the facilities) as we have caught an in between week which is considered low season, 2 adults, 3 kids, £52 for 2 nights
All in all a nice site which we will definitely visit again and have no hesitation on recommending.

A cool November weekend at an amazing site. We pitched up inside the walled garden and felt like we were on our own.
The kids could cycle and explore to the hearts content.
An amazing afternoon spent exploring Doune Castle, catching the sun-setting on distant snow covered hills was brilliant.
No hesitation in recommending the site, the location or wardens.

Stayed here from Friday till Sunday and really enjoyed it. The weather was great which always helps! We pitched up outside the wall in a very secluded little area. Your own little haven really! Toilets spotless and modern.
The only thing about this site is that dogs have to be kept on the lead in the dog walk and also within the Blair Drummond estate so if your dog likes to have a run about off the lead as ours does you really have to find somewhere off site.
Site not far from the main road but no traffic noise. We didn't have any kids with us but all the children we saw seemed to be having a good time with most of the families pitched around the swing park area just outside the wall.
Callander and Auchterarder near at hand for a visit as well as Stirling and Dunblane. Doune is just down the road and is a lovely little place. Its castle is great for a visit and has connections to Monty Python! In fact we once visited a Monty Python re-enactment day here a few years ago which was a great day out.
This a an excellent site for visiting Central Scotland and we would definitely recommend it.

We spent a weekend here recently- 2 adults and 2 kids. This was our 2nd visit as we visited last summer too.
Booking process by phone was quick and easy. The warden explained about arrivals times and park entry tickets.
The site is perfectly kept and spotless. It is set out nicely in little areas which makes it quiet and peaceful, though we chose to be by the play park to keep an eye on the kids which was a little noisier. Children all went in at a reasonable time and it was lovely and quiet during the night, which we appreciated after coming from a really noisy site.
The shower blocks were clean and very modern.
There are a few essentials in the on site shop but you need to drive to get to nearest village for shops or pubs, etc. There is a Tesco in Dunblane which is about a 10 minute drive.
We went to the safari park and in to Stirling while we were there. The safari park was very busy but it was the middle of summer holidays so to be expected.
This is a great site, we only wish it was slightly closer to home so we could go more often!

Excellent site. We booked this on spec having moved from the West coast due to the weather. We absolutely loved the site, the location within the walled garden is so pretty, and the surrounding walks were wonderful for wildlife spotting.
I had a close encounter with one of the local tawny owls one evening which was a major highlight.
As the other reviewers have stated, the showers are state of the art, very clean and efficient. The pitches are flat and plenty big enough.
We didn't have a lot of time to explore the surrounding area, but spent a marvellous day around Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument.
We will definitely return to this site.

This is a lovely site, with the majority of the pitches set within a former walled garden. If you want to be more secluded, there are more pitches outside the walls amongst the trees, and if you have children, the play area is also outside the walls. All the pitches are level, with hardstanding for the van and awning, usually a gravel area for the car and a wide grass strip between pitches.
This is supposed to be a Caravan Club site, but I was not asked for my membership number, and the price appears to be the same regardless. Booking is direct with the site, not via the CC website or phoneline, and a deposit is required at time of booking (or full price for one night).
The shower blocks are superb, and there are all the usual facilities provided. This is a convenient location for those journeying to or from the north of Scotland, but is also peaceful enough and central enough for a longer stay.

We chose to spend one night on this site on our return home from the Highlands & Islands, as it's location is very handy for the motorway.
This is a super site, the warden is new and was very friendly and helpful. The setting is lovely, within a walled garden area of a privately owned country estate. Good dog walk around the site both inside and outside the walled garden. My only gripe is that they charge £2 for a dog so made this site a bit more expensive than the ones we used throughout our holiday.
The facilities were excellent, looks like they've recently been totally refurbishment with huge showers which are sensor touch operated. The toilets and wash basins were all new and very clean.
The small town of Callender is located nearby (bout 10 miles) with plenty of places to eat drink & be merry in general.
I would recommend this site, we only stayed the one night but it's a brilliant place for a stopover if you're heading to/from the Highlands.
